Update : talked to customer service again and all they could say is nothing .... They said they are sorry but it's the way Verizon does business.... So they scam you out of your trade in , tell you how they are going to apply the trade in amount and then amel you pick an expensive data plan to make up for the so called credit they are given you for your trade in .... Then they don't tell you anything about if you make any changes to your plan during the contract length you lose your trade in amount and credit and get zero ..... Bunch of crooks and I hope more folks start calling this scam and Verizon loses money ... They are taken advantage of people !!! Horrible .. read more

NEVER GO TO THIS STORE. The lady created a sub account in my name by accident and they take no ownership. I am a loyal Verizon customer who has never missed a bill, and didn't even know a separate account was created with my information until collections was reaching out to me. I don't even have a login for this separate account and was never notified before they sold the info to the collection agency. I've spent months and countless hours trying to get it resolved. It messed up my credit score and the new manager, Wayne, didn't even bother to get back to me or return my call after speaking to him. I purchased a new phone under a promotion that included a rebate, and the customer service representative took my old phone and messed up the coding. I have been paying monthly for a phone that should have been "free" for almost 8 months and cannot get anyone to fix it. I stopped in here yesterday to fix a few problems with my phone, and upgrade a bit while I was there. I couldn't have had a better experience. Frank was so helpful, professional, and knowledgable. He immediately knew all the correct solutions, and was very patient and friendly since I'm not particularly tech savvy. Frank was quickly able to get my phone working again and made helpful suggestions about how to maximize my coverage. All of it made complete sense, and I was pleased with his friendly tech intelligence. Also, Frank was very sweet to my service dog, and gave him plenty of love. That means a lot to a person like me. There is a failure to communicate at this Verizon store. The little man that "served" us had a flat affect and was extremely rude and uncaring about our predicament, as they lost our iPhone order and said we'd have to start over. I felt this was their mistake and should have willingly been addressed. The indifference was off putting and I let him know I was displeased. He asked me to leave the premises because I uttered a soft vulgar word. Who does he think he is. He's not a good salesman or rep for Verizon. The "store manager" needs to learn a lesson in customer service. After spending an hour and 45 minutes on the phone with customer service the night before and doing EXACTLY what they told me to do the next day-I go on with a brand new Verizon iphone 11 I bought at Best Buy (they had a deal Verizon would not match) I explained this to Cust Serv the night before and she said go buy the phone there, then take it to any authorized Verizon store-this was the closest one so I went. I asked a store associate if he could help me activate my phone. He was unsuccessful. He explained I would have to call customer service and they would walk me through how to do it. I don't understand why that would be my obligation-and not theirs. I asked to speak with the manager-surely I'm not the first person in history to buy a phone somewhere else and bring it in for activation. The manager was so rude and clearly very green-at one point he stated he was 20 years old-so you get what you pay for-no customer service skills, extremely rude and clearly coming from a background of entitlement not appreciating someone who has spent 15K over the last decade with Verizon between service and hardware. He said there was nothing he could do to help me and he claimed he offered me a solution already then started to raise his voice. Hey kid, next time, drop the attitude and call customer service for the customer! Be proactive, go above and beyond to show appreciation for a loyal customer who just spent another 1,000 on hardware. Instead I ask him why he is raising his voice and he said because I've already provided you a solution-false-you created more work for me and less work for you. That's all you did. Whoever owns this store should reconsider having this child as a store manager. Maybe get someone with real life experience who appreciates the customer. He deflected and placed the blame on Best Buy saying they should have activated it-I explained Verizon customer service told me to get it activated at a Verizon store afterwords. Keep in mind, I never once raised my voice, I stood there calmly, to be fair I did say the word shit in regard to "this is the shit you put a loyal customer through as a company" but not directed to him. Of course sensitive little child "store manager" tried to act like it was derogatory at him and acted as if I was irate-aka his scapegoat to avoid actually having to solve a problem instead of deflecting it onto a system, Best Buy, or me. Nonetheless-I left and went to the Verizon location on Kipling-walked in and in 3 minutes the store associate (not a store manager) had my phone up and running. Talk about a relief and also just reinforced the incompetent "store manager" at the first location. Laughable. Go to another Verizon store if you want to get something done. Several people stood unhelped, while others employees didn't even acknowledge or assist them-its called multi tasking, and people appreciate being helped or at least you signaling you see them before they walk out of your store. I would imagine the staffing is a result of ownership underpaying young kids to do the work of mature adults and this is what you get when you approach business that way. You've got a lot to learn kid, read a book on customer service and stop being a lazy deflecting waste of space. Tonight was the most frustrating experience with a store that displays the Verizon signage but is really "Go wireless". I sat outside for an hour after the "manager" told me I was next. (I may have been there 30 minutes prior to that with 4 other customers before they trickled away due to the lack of communication.) However, when he finished with the other customers he came out to tell me it was 7pm and he was closing and couldn't exchange my item. Andrew, "the manager" needs lessons in customer service! If he knew that was the policy he should have told me that was a possibility from the beginning or come out to tell me when he realized it was getting close to 7PM. Not to mention, he only schedules one employee to work at the store at a time. One employee is needed to answer questions and greet customers and a second employee for technical work. This store has a very poor business model and Verizon should be ashamed to have their name associated. I should have realized that something was askew when I entered the store the very first time and the apathetic sales person, Stephanie, barely acknowledged my existence and looked as though she hated her job. (That was my first sign to run far away from this poorly run store!) My recommendation is to stay away From the Go Wireless at 38th and Wadsworth that is named Verizon. My wife and I came to this location to get new iphones one afternoon and what a big mistake. We were working with Eric, who we later learned was the store manager. To begin, their computer systems were down so we quietly waited for 15-20 minutes. Once the computers were working, Eric continued the transaction and proceeded to keep his head down and stared at his computer. I told him I did not want insurance and he became agitated and used scare-sales tactics about how it's a dumb idea not to have insurance on something so expensive. he followed up by saying He then proceeded to tell us there were additional costs of $250 - when I asked what that was, he told us they were running a special for phone cases, screen protectors, etc. I said no and he became more agitated. It was very frustrating and time consuming to get a new phone today. The manager told me to take a seat and they would get to me soon. There were two other customers up at the counter. While I was waiting, the manager had to wait while the customer was taking a personal call. An hour and a half later he helped me. He mentioned more than once how old my phone was and downloading would be difficult. It is about four years old. I am paying college tuition for my kids and do not have the up-to-date technology. He also was helping other people walking in as he was assisting me. This did not happen when he was helping the young customers. I had to keep track myself of the downloads while he was talking. He mentioned that he is a realtor also. I would never hire any person that had such poor customer service. I recommend that anyone wanting a new phone through Verizon, buy it online and work with their customer service. They have always been great to work with. What a waste of time. read more
