Switched from Tmobile where I had a horrible customer service experience went to Verizon where Devon went above and beyond! I can't even explain the level of customer service, he was polite, welcomed me with a smile, provided me with options and educated me on the different devices to choose from. Helped me seamlessly transfer to Verizon. Thank you so much Devon and the general manger I believe at the Venice location for staying late and actually wanting to help me!! read more

My phone suddenly stopped making calls. I pulled into this store and the young lady behind the counter quickly troubleshot the problem which turned out to be the SIM card. She replaced it and I was in my way within 15 minutes. Excellent service! read more

We left Sprint now T-mobile, 3 weeks ago. I went to this location and found excellent customer service. We got new Samsung S22 phones at this Verizon location with Jessica - she was AWESOME! She handled us with white glove service. Make note, that many folks appear to be leaving her competitors for the same reason we were leaving. I am super happy to have made this change. In fact, we left after 17 years with Sprint due to the terrible service during the T-Mobile conversion. A local Venice FL T-Mobile location and a location in Vancouver WA were terrible. In fact, I was deceived by T-mobile in Vancouver WA whose sales team told me that I had to get new phones, plus I got a letter from T-Mobile in November 2021 stating same, supposedly because they were not handling the Samsung products any longer - so while on vacation we got converted to a new, cheap phone - a One Plus phone, it was supposedly free due to the changes! I found out that these are the cheapest Samsung products on the market. Plus the T-Mobile sales team made us give them our other really fantastic Samsung phones. This was the worst conversion of a merger ever. We are happy to be with Verizon now. read more

When you need help with an issue or recently a broken phone and then setting up a new one. Telling you they cannot help because you have to go home to internet and sign in to email to get a verification code, only to arrive at home and the code timed out is very very annoying. Seems like the store I bought the phone from had no trouble setting it up. Wow! Call the authorized dealer Verizon on jacaranda. They helped me over the phone in less than 5 minutes. read more

Customer service not good in this store. Never the same employee, that should tell you something. Broken phone, trade it in for a new one with a $700 off any phone even if damaged. Was told it had wrong type of damage. They're pushing for their new iPhone whatever so they didn't want me to get one in the first place until Sept. Guess I'll need a new carrier. Terrible Store! Terrible Ethics! My Mother-in-law was just to go in and change out a bad phone that had been sent out from corporate. She was told she needed to learn how to work the phone and that it would cost her $80.00 if she wanted to change out the phone. What away to treat our elderly! Horrible, Horrible store! I had to go back to Verizon corporate on the phone forever and now I have to send her back to the store. read more

This store is a complete joke! i would not recommend!! The employees are rude, unprofessional, laugh and talk amongst themselves while customers are there. Bouncing a tennis ball around, laying in their desks, immature! The entire time the so called manager bad mouthed upper management, said he's a di**, that he was going to pissed but he's going to have to get over it! This same manager cussed the entire time he was helping us. At one point we did not understand what they were saying, the manager and other employee kept laughing at us! After buying new phones (completely messed up!) we went to return them, manager flat out told us we couldn't, that his boss is a jerk and wouldn't allow a return! went back in an hour later (while on phone with support) and all of a sudden he returned them! Prepare to wait. A long time. No matter what brought you to the store, prepare to wait. They simply are not equipped to manage more than one customer at a time. Frankly, I do not understand their attitude towards customers. For reference, I have visited this store twice. I simply wanted to turn in my old phone. I didn't need help with the new one or anything else other to drop it off and still had to wait over an hour. (The first visit I waited half an hour but had to leave before my turn as it was my lunch hour. As I'm typing this, I'm wondering why I would bother waiting except I was on a phone call while waiting. I feel very badly for the other folks there who truly needed help. Also, there is very little seating so be prepared to stand for upwards of an hour. read more

We had truly rude service one morning. My aunt, who had a damaged phone from overheating,had a customer service rep behave incredibly dismissive towards her phone problems. He continued to be chauvinistic towards her in the shop, piping in over another decent service representative who was being helpful but was drowned out by the other employee's rude, sexist behavior. Sales reps were somewhat respectful. I went in and registered...waited almost an hour before we actually got a rep. Watched three reps "fiddling around" at the counter for 20 minutes. Background music was loud and obnoxious...lots of rap. When they finally got to me, he had problems logging into his own system. Disappeared into the back room for 10 minutes and came back. By that time we had to leave because of time constraints. Not looking forward to returning. Might just buy an Amazon phone and try converting it to Verizon on their web site. read more

This refers to Verizon Internet/TV/phone, I have no idea how their wireless is since I have AT&T. WARNING: Amazingly these verizon folks give MUCH better deals to new customers rather than loyal customers like me who have been with them for 10 years! Also mid contract their "discounts" go away with no reason or notification and you're left with a much higher payment until you notice and are forced to complain to rein it back in. Just recently spent two weeks at the end of my contract trying to get a fair deal. They refused wanting to jump me UP $30+/month for a lesser plan! I was only able to cut a deal AFTER my contract expired and I threatened to leave to their "retention" dept. Did I mention I had to call 3 times today just to get it done as the first two got disconnected on the endless transfers! Worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. The only reason I stayed is it's a huge hassle to have to switch over all the services, especially the email where i would have a totally new email! The only positive I can say is mostly their reps were respectful. It's not their fault they are saddled with super uncustomer friendly "plans". Unbelievably, the ONLY time you are treated to a good plan is when you are a NEW customer! Thumbs DOWN ! read more

My experience with this store (Verizon Wireless 4288 S. Tamiami Trail, Venice, FL) was awful! They provided misinformation and they out and out lied to me. The short story is...I went in to this store to buy one product, they sold me something they assured me was what I had asked for and it wasn't. When I realized their mistake and tried to return the product, they charged me $70 to return it. Rip off!!! I will NEVER go to this store again and suggest you don't either. They will say whatever they have to to sell you something and then once you realize what they have done they will not take responsibility and will keep part of your money in the form of a restocking fee. Long story...I wanted to buy an iPad 4 (4th generation) for my husband for our anniversary. I called around the area and asked if the stores I called had an iPad 4 available. When I called this store the sales person (Ken) said they did and he'd hold one for me if I came in then to buy it. I was very surprised to hear they had them and went in immediately and found Ken to purchase the iPad 4. In the store I asked Ken several times if he was sure this was the iPad4 because the packaging did not say which generation of the iPad it was (Apple's packaging is very nondescript). He assured me each time that it was definitely the iPad 4. We even discussed how my husband had just bought me the iPad 3 for my birthday in July and how I couldn't believe Apple had come out with the next generation so shortly after. I left the store very excited to give my husband the iPad 4 for our anniversary. I also asked Ken just in case if could I return it and get my money back, not a store credit. He said yes (no mention of any restocking fee). Well fast forward two days when I very happily presented the gift to my husband only to find out (once he opened it) that it was the iPad 3. I was so disappointed and furious. I called the Verzion store right away and let them know their mistake and that I would be coming in the next day to return it (again no mention of a restocking fee). Then the next day I went into the store to make the return. I called on my way in to make sure I could return it without receipt because I had left it at home. They said yes (again no mention of the restocking fee). Once I got to the store, I explained the situation. They were able to pull up the purchase and do the return, but they said there would be a $70 restocking fee! I asked to speak to the manager (Alex) who was also involved when Ken sold me the iPad. Alex brought Ken over to discuss the situation. Ken lied and said that he did not tell me it was the iPad4, but that it was 4G LTE. I reminded him that I asked several times, "are you sure this is the iPad4, because it doesn't say it on the box and I want to make sure it's right because it's a gift for our 1st anniversary". He then changed the subject and said he told me about the restocking fee, that he tells everyone...another blatant lie. He did not tell me about a restocking fee or I would not have bought the iPad. He also said it says clearly on my receipt that there is a $70 restocking fee...another lie. I didn't realize until I got home that the receipt did NOT say anything about a restocking fee, it just said there was 14 days to return it and to go to verizon.com/refunds to see the full refund policy. Also, at the point of sale Ken didn't even show me the receipt, he just put it in the bag. Anyway, Alex said there was nothing he could do. He said he even called the store manager Ester (Alex is the assistant store manager) who said she WOULD not waive the restocking fee. They also could not hand us the cash I paid, they had to issue a check which would be mailed in 3 business days (for $70 less than I actually paid because of the restocking fee)! I will never go to this store again and suggest you don't either. They will say whatever they have to to sell you something and then once you realize what they have done they will not take responsibility and will keep part of your money in the form of a restocking fee that they could easily waive. Luckily we called Verizon customer service on the phone when we left and explained the situation to them. They would have adjusted the return in their systems and waived the restocking fee, but they said the store processed it wrong and they were not able to do that. Basically the store deducted the $70 restocking fee from the refund amount (which they are not supposed to do) and just refunded us the lower amount. They are supposed to refund the full amount and charge the $70 restocking fee to the account...again an example of the stores shady/incorrect business tactics. The nice person on the phone offered us a $70 credit on our Verizon account to make up for the store's mistake. We were very grateful. It is still maddening that the store got to keep the $70, but at least we were made whole. read more

Mike Monaghan is the best Verizon sales rep I've ever met. He handled ever problem and question without missing a beat- no wonder his title is "Solution Specialist". Mike will be at the Port Charlotte location starting in a week. If you want the best Verizon customer service, go find him. It'll be worth the drive. read more
