I had a very disappointing experience with this Verizon authorized retailer. The service that was sold to me was not what I ultimately received, which led me to file a formal complaint. After doing so, I received calls from the personal phone number of the sales representative who originally handled my account. When I returned the call, I was insulted and called a "bitch" before the representative hung up. I called back to make sure I had heard correctly, and the same insult was repeated before another hang up. I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism from a business representative. Customers should be able to raise concerns about their service without being contacted and insulted afterward. I hope management reviews this situation seriously and takes appropriate action. read more

Second star only because they were nice, but the staff is uneducated on the Gizmo Watch plans. I was clear from the moment I walked in that my phone was through my company and I did not have a Verizon plan. I was assured that it was $5 a month after purchasing and activating the watch. Not until after they ran my credit did they tell me that this is $15 a month because I do not have an existing Verizon plan. Too late to take back the hit to my credit. Very dishonest. Apparently you have to beware of bad information from this and other "Franchise" Verizon stores, whatever that means. read more

We were helped by a salesman named Larry who was very friendly, great at explaining different options and took the time to ensure all our concerns and needs were addressed. Larry walked us through the process of upgrading and made this process so easy. He is a great salesman and was a pleasure to work with. Verizon is lying to customers. Their new promo to come in and get a free iphone 13 and get up to $800 for eligible phones is a con. Read the fine print. I went into the Verizon store in Hyde Park, Tampa, FL with my daughter and boyfriend. We all were trading in our phones. The sales guy Ron told me that my phone and my daughters phone was eligible for the $800 trade in and that I would only see a $35 charge on my bill as a one time fee. He said I was not paying for the new phone, I just had to pay the sales tax, which I did. I specifically asked him that there will be no other charges on my bill except the $35 one time fee. He said yes. I looked at my bill and I am being charged $45 (22.50 per phone) for equipment. After calling verizon 3 times and never getting anywhere because they outsource their customer service support and they keep you on the phone which seems like forever then transfer you, you then have to repeat yourself, this happened 3 times. I finally went down to the store, spoke with a manager, Anthony who had to look into it and would give me a call the next day. He called me, telling me that I was only getting $400 for my phone, he said it's in the fine print and my bill is no more than what it used to be, so I was getting a good deal. He was rude and condesending. So now, I do not own my phone (which I did before), I now owe $400 per phone, I was charged the $35 and my bill is only $10 less per month than it was. I was completely lied to by Ron the sales guy. I have been a customer of Verizon for years and have never been deceived like this before. I will never go into that Hyde Park store again and I will be looking for a new carrier. read more

After several good experiences here, our most recent visit will be our last. Buyer beware: our rep kept trying to sell us a second phone (that my teen wanted but I already had vetoed in his presence since she was getting mine). He also put an app on my daughter's phone without asking permission, he did not include my company discount on the transaction, he sent me home with a box that was missing headphones, and he charged $35 for "set up." With no manager on site to talk to, I was promised a call back. I followed up twice and I still have not heard from the manager. Next, I wrote the corporate customer service office only to learn that THIS SITE IS NOT REALLY A VERIZON STORE, but just an authorized retailer that does not seem interested in keeping a longtime Verizon customer. I have 5 lines on ATT and stopped into the store to price switching to Verizon. I was presented an amazing offer, almost too good to be true. Even with the great offer it still would have cost me hundreds of dollars in purchasing new devices because the Iphones I have on ATT wouldn't work on Verizon. I let the salesperson know I needed to go home and speak with my wife about this deal before I could commit. Two days later I call to follow up, person I needed to talk with wasn't there so I left a message. By the time he calls me back the deal is no longer offered and my price has now gone up to make it completely cost prohibitive to switch. Mike and Darlin were the ones I dealt with. Subsequent emails to them and their superiors have further demonstrated their complete disregard for ethical business dealings or any desire to actually convert a long time ATT customer over to Verizon. Can't wait for ATT to offer cable, I'll not only be switching my cell phone but also bringing over my cable, home phone and internet service. read more

BUYER BEWARE! My family has proof that this store has sold, may sell, and possibly will sell a used phone and represent it "as new". This is particularly distressing and a poor business practice particularly when the device "dies" prematurely and the manufacturers warranty period has passed. This store refused to make it "right" and instead referred us to the "official" store on Dale Mabry (just south of Swann) and they "made it right". I wonder why in 2018 a business would try to pull a "sexist' trick and prey upon a woman who was being graceful and in some doubt when she (my wife) explained to "Ray" what was going on. I had to intervene and explain forcefully to "Ray" that the explanation he offered was unacceptable. My advice would be to bypass the shysters in this store and instead go direct to Verizon just a little north on the same road. rb read more

By far the worse Verizon retailer company I have dealt with, do not buy any equipment here, they bounce you to either Verizon Cs or to third party sites to get something resolved.....basically they make the sale and don't want to deal with customers.......go to an actual Verizon store, worse customer service, which is shocking since this is a retail store, one would think they would like to have repeat customers... nothing but regrets! read more

Verizon wireless overall I have never had any other service before for phone service it's great but pricey their Serivces for high speed internet is great as well. But for tv it is not worth it they over charge on tv service. read more

Typically buying a phone for me is like buying a car, you come in knowing what you want and end up be upsold on something you never wanted in the first place. Adding insult to injury, it always takes a couple of hours. Richard was a pleasant surprise. I told him what I wanted, he found it for me and started work on it straight away. He managed to save me some money as well - always terrific! Even better, I got out of the shop within an hour, with a new phone and all my data transferred to it. I just bought the new iPhone 6 edge the day before and walked in and bought 2 cases for them and a phone charger for less than $100 the gentleman working was very nice and also talk to me about my plans to make sure I had enough data and offered us a free gig. He did not pressure me at all and I actually ended up saving me money this place was said I wasn't I was the only place person so the customer service was on.. I contacted Verizon in February to discontinue my service and the continued to automatically withdrawal over $400 a month for several months. It is now December and I had to just pay a $25 late fee on my November payment as I shut down direct withdrawal. You should never ever use this company as they don't care about customer service and all they want is you money and then more money. I have not used Verizon service since February and have paid them almost $3,000 since in order for them not to ruin my credit. read more
