i have a BIG problem with the staff at your Lakewood store.010417 Gravelly Lake Dr)…read more so my wife went in on Feb 21st to upgrade her phone. she had a Samsun A12 and wanted to Upgrade to the A15. we fell a little short at the time and told the sales associate that we would take another phone AS LONG AS IT HAD MORE MEMORY THAN THE A12. the sales associate assured us the phone she recommends (the Samsung 04) would be the one, being that it had more memory. WE ASKED HER 3 TIMES IF IT ACTUALLY HAD MORE MEMORY AND SHE SAID YES. (we will come back to this point later.) we let them know that this is a TEMPORARY upgrade, being that in 2 weeks we will return and actually get the A15 and whatever phone she gets that day will be (the 04) would be MY upgrade. we would switch everything over and it will be fine. fast forward to yesterday (March 6th) we go in to do the upgrade to my wifes a12 to the a15. we find out the the 04 was NOT an upgrade to the a12,in fact it was a DOWNGRADE. now mind you if we would have known that on the 21st WE WOULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN IT. IT ON THE INSISTENCE OF THE SALES AGENT THAT WE GOT THE PHONE. so she basically lied to get the sale. so while in store i personally call customer service and let them know what was going on, because at this point i wanted a refund. i will NOT be stuck with a downgraded phone. why should i be? the customer service agent said they will notate my account and the problem will be resolved. cool SO TODAY. i go in the store. and i figured a refund would be needed just take the cost of my items and apply them to my account as a credit so that when i'm actually ready to do my upgrade everything will be there. so the manager was NOT trying to cooperate with me, she REFUSED to give me a refund or apply a credit. the actual sales associate that told my wife to get the phone was there and she wanted to spend 10 minutes arguing with me the manager TOLD ME TO SELL THE 04 ON FACEBOOK!!!! really???? this is how you treat your customers. then they BOTH STARTED SPEAKING SPANISH TO EACH OTHER ABOUT WHAT WAS GOING ON. I am African American, and I found that HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! but I digress.. i called customer service again and the sales associate argued with THEM. so customer service told them to call dealer services, and the associate told them that it would do no good since they only deal with networks and not phones. this was one of the WORST customer experiences i have EVER dealt with. all i want is to NOT be stuck with this phone. the phrase i kept hearing all morning is "upgrades are non-refundable" i get that, but what if the phone is NOT an upgrade?? all a want is a PROPER upgrade, not to be talked down to, treated with some respect and dignity and to have this situation rectified. the fact that the associate lied to get sale is bad enough but the NOBODY wants to fix the situation. it took my wife an hour to talk me out of cutting off the service all together.

I asked if they had a battery for "this", and he said, "I sure do!" I said I would need new terminals, and he said that would be easy. He started to explain something, but I (probably rudely) interrupted him and said, "Do what you gotta do, because I can't start it without a jump". He said, okay, and started grabbing what he needed. The battery is located under the passenger seat, which is on the left side of my right-hand drive vehicle. He had to work inside the car to change out the terminals and place the new battery. He took care not to make a mess, picked up all the cuttings, and fixed my seat and carpet. I had to have the same service done to my other JDM vehicle. I went to the Tacoma shop that time. The battery is under the hood of that one, so less work. Great service there, too; however, Puyallup service was $20 cheaper. Before I left, he asked if he could take a picture of my vehicle. You're a lifesaver, Chad! Thanks so much for having what I needed, being so cool, and getting me back on the road within 20 minutes. *Side note: I read another review, and I feel like I have to say this. I'm a female and an islander. I didn't feel any discrimination or racism.

The service was very quick, but the pricing and communication were quite bad…read more I went in to have the battery I had purchased four years ago checked. I'd been going to this store for a very long time, but it had a new manager. The manager attached a meter to the battery very quickly, which I appreciated. I didn't see the meter, and he didn't explain anything, just, "Yep, it's bad." He gave me the replacement price, which was high, but I decided to go ahead and have it done. I asked about the warranty, and he said it was five years. I said, "Does my current battery have the same warranty?" "Yes," he said, "You bought it here." "So, am I due some pro-rated discount because this battery failed early?" "I can give you 10%" "Hmmm," I'm thinking, "I'd have thought 4 years out of 5 would be a 20% discount," but I didn't know how they prorate, so I let it go. When he rang up the sale, he forgot the discount. I asked about it, and he said he could give me a slip of paper for an extra core charge when I come back to replace this battery. This was because it was "too hard" to run the sale over again. He scribbled on the back of a business card and initialed it. (It is pictured below.) Of course, I'm thinking, "So I have to hang on to this piece of paper for four to five years and come back here for another battery because you made a mistake and are too lazy to run the transaction over again?" He caught my look and said he could run it again, but he was "just trying to save me money because running a credit, and a new sale would be two or three transactions, and the card machine charges me $2.50 every time it runs a card, so I would end up losing most of the rebate." I'm thinking, "Huh?!" All this is happening at high speed, I feel pressured, and so I decide it's not enough money to hassle over, and I'm not up for the fuss. So I end up paying the full (high) price and have to keep track of what I think is likely a worthless piece of paper that won't be honored even if I just happen to be in the right place at the right time when I need a new battery sometime in the future. Nah, not gonna happen. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed, feel poorly treated, and slightly deceived. I won't go back to the store and will not recommend it to others, which is kind of sad because I've been going there for so long (when it had a different manager). Oh, well, life goes on, and it's not enough money to worry about, but the principles involved were worth mentioning. There, I got that off my chest, and I feel better now. :-) Thanks for being my online counselor! LOL.

As I gathered my purchase into my arms I made my way to the counter to pay. As she collected the items to enter into your purchase system, the clerk noted there was oil leaking from the one quart of oil. I was motified as I just had those quarts next to my clothing....I was wearing white as I was on my way to a Father's Day celebration. Upon looking down, I saw that oil all over my blouse and white tank top and capris. I was so upset and yet, your counter people did and said nothing. It wasn't until I said a few not so nice words that the clerk gave me a half-assed "yeah sorry about that"! I was so angry about that throw away apology. There was no attempt to offer me something to clean it off with nor any assistance with it whatsoever. I asked for a manager's card and as it turns out, the one person who said nothing about my incident, although fully aware and said nothing, was the manager. If I was only mad before, I was fully on boiling angry that she said and did nothing. As I walked out, she dared to yell out "have a nice day". REALLY???? I don't care what I had on. As a customer, I had the expectation to buy products that were ready to be handles and not leaking. I called their customer service line and filed a complaint. I would give a zero rating if I could because customer service should always be a priority. This was clearly not the case at this location. Will NEVER purchase from any of their stores again.
