I went to my local Verizon store where the employee had no desire to help me. I left and drove to the Solon, Ohio store. I was greeted by a smiling young man named Quan. He was welcoming and friendly. He helped me with a new plan, a new phone and a case. He was very patient and kind while I was asking 75 questions! He has great communication skills and is very knowledgeable. He was clear and concise while explaining everything. I was impressed with how professional and focused he was while multi-tasking. My sister's phone was not taking incoming calls. I called the Verizon store's number which was no help, and I didn't have an appointment. I drove to the store anyway, and a tech was going car to car talking as customers were not allowed in the store. Shopping was online, and then curbside pick up. I talked to the tech. The tech thought that the SIM card may not be connecting incoming numbers. I would need to have my sister and her phone with me for service since I was not on the account, as there are passwords. I literally hate going into any Verizon anywhere, ever. I get it, guys. The long lines, annoying customers, and time/money suck can be a real downer. My Dad and I stopped in to take care of some upgrades and do some device shuffling. We went in on a Friday about 3pm and walked right in with no lines! Luckily, Jaclyn assisted us, and she was THE BEST! She was super knowledgable, very helpful and didn't try to sell us tons of extras we didn't need. She was patient, smart with her numbers and fun to talk to while we waited on things like my phone backing up. Also, she loves Yelp, so YAY! I honestly think that a trip into a phone store is make or break depending on the person who assists you. If you can, ask for Jaclyn! She'll make the experience as least painful as possible and will do her best to genuinely get you in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Tech who serviced me was definitely a veteran and knowledgeable. However, the wait to be helped was about 45 minutes (I was #5 on the wait list). Having troubleshot my phone's issues at home using the online knowledge base & forums, all I needed was a new SIM card (takes less than 3 minutes to get one, install, and activate). I thought it would have been a really quick visit. Oh well, what can you do.... I have had Verizon for decades, since they were Cellular One. I have always avoided their stores, as they were always worse than the DMV. Long lines, indifferent staff that were trying to squeeze every penny from you etc. for the past few years I have avoided the stores and conducted my dealings with them online. But this weekend I had to go to the store for a complicated issue of getting two new phones, adding a line, and moving lines around. I dreaded going in, and prepared myself for a long wait and some arguments to get what I wanted. Well, something has changed in the past few years, because there were no lines and the staff could not have been more helpful. Everything was really fast, and they actually showed me a couple ways that I could actually lower my bill. I was really impressed. This wasn't an anomaly either- because I went in the next day to trade in an old phone, and it was the same. No line, and fast friendly help. In fact, I had been considering switching from Verizon to another carrier, but this experience convinced me to stick with Verizon. I wish there was some way to let Verizon corporate know that their awesome staff saved them from losing three unlimited data lines to another carrier. I am very pleased with my experience, and won't hesitate to visit this store in the future. read more

My phone was acting very strange the other day so I decided to stop into my neighbor Solon Verizon store and ask for some assistance. While I know that there are many Verizon stores, this one is my favorite in the area as the customer service is exceptional. As far as the store looks, it's your standard Verizon store- red and black and very tech looking. This one is spacious and well maintained -- some are sort of small and worn down -- but not this one. There were four people working when I recently stopped in and while there were people there waiting , it took them 5 minutes to get to me-- very fast in my eyes. My phone had some minor issues with updates and the young man who worked with me fixed it so quickly. He also went through my account and told me that I had an upgrade soon- so kind of him to take his job a step further. In total, the whole process took under 15 minutes and I was so pleased. This is the store I will go to in the future and suggest everyone do the same. read more

The Sale Rep there is way to unprofessional! They said they could not help us and we had to call the customer service. They kept saying that the customer service closed Saturday and Sunday which is not true. The employees are not willing to help us at all. So we went to Bestbuy and the sale rep there figured out customer service opens on Sunday so we could be able to call to resolve the problem. It's just a small thing but they were never willing to check for us at all and kept saying they could not do anything. I should check the review before I came in that store. I have been to all the Verizon Wireless stores in the Cleveland area pretty much. Most of them are TERRIBLE with awful customer service and slow phone techs. Wait times are usually over an hour just to talk to someone. What a joke. The Solon Verizon is different- they get me in and out in under and hour with just about any issue I have taken to them. They worked with me to get the right plan for some crazy needs that I have and didn't just hand me a pamphlet. It's like a well oiled machine in there. When entering the store, we were prepared for a one to two hour visit. That did not happen at all! Jaclyn approached us immediately and took care of our phone issue within minutes. We can't say enough good things about this experience as we had been on the phone with tech support the night before for about an hour and a half. I enjoyed my experience at this Verizon as my tech made my visit quick and painless, and he was very friendly. However, I went to view my bill and it is $92.00 higher than what I was expecting. (I knew my plan was increasing by about $30.00 a month). I called and was told it is due to some tax law in my county. Understandable... there's no way around tax. I'm not a fan of surprises though, especially when I'm used to paying a $95.00 bill, not a $227.00.... My advice is just to tell the buyer exactly what they will see on their bill. I also then wouldn't have spent 30 minutes trying to get in touch with customer service. read more

Just to clarify, one star means zero to me. Worst experience with customer service. I bought a phone and decided to return it less than 24 hours later, unopened, untouched, unused. They charged me 50 dollars for returning it. Granted it was in the contract, but when I signed they only showed me the numbers and they did not mentioned or showed me this returning policy. When I complained to the manager, he threaten to call the POLICE. His argument was that I was taking too much of his time (we talked for no more than 5 minutes). Also, he insisted he would prefer not having me as a client, and he mentioned several times that clients are always doing these things . Not very big on clients, apparently. When I asked him he should ask the sales person who had talked to me, he said he would not because the sales person would lie to, I quote, "cover his own ass." I am still appaled. read more

I had the worst experience at the Verizon store in Solon, OH and extremely disappointed. I am not good with cell phones and will go out of my way to wait on replacing my phone for this very reason. I took my new phone to Verizon in Solon to help me activate it and switch over my contacts. They told me they could not switch over my contacts/photos because they were not saved with google. They 'activated' my phone and said there was nothing I could do and no way to get my contacts unless I went to Best Buy. Supposedly Best Buy would transfer over my contacts even when I said I didn't purchase my phone through them. Of course, when I got to Best Buy they said they couldn't because I didn't purchase the phone there. I went back to a different Verizon store and the person who helped me there found out that my pictures were actually saved to google and transferred them over. He then told me that I could Bluetooth my contacts over or download an app. After explaining this, he actually took the time to help show me how to do it. From there he decided to check and see if my phone was actually working....and it wasn't!! So thankfully he gave me a new SIM card and made sure my phone could call out. I am very grateful to the man who took care of me at the other Verizon store and extremely disappointed in Solon. There is a difference between not knowing how to provide a service and being lazy. It is unfortunate that even though I am a reliable customer and pay to service my phone through Verizon, they can't return the same curtesy to me. read more

This store misled us on our contract. Now we are in a legal battle over something sooo simple. Buyer Beware!!!!

Not a pleasant experience. Left Sprlnt after many years. Went across the street to Verizon. Was told by our sales person that my contract would be bought out to make the switch. Beware, Verizon does not buy out your contract. Received trade in for my old phone Trade value was applied to new equipment and fees not towards my Sprint cancellation fee. And was told a gift card would arrive in two weeks. Not the case. Did agree to take hundred bucks off second bill. This was do to sales person saying I would get hundred bucks because I switched from another carrier. Did not apply in my case. Plan price quoted was ten bucks low. Can only hope coverage is as good as I've heard. read more

I was highly annoyed that the new iphone 5 that we signed up for was out of stock. I also felt that the young associate helping us was cocky, and trying his best to sell us extra crap we didn't need. I honestly think searching for a new plan/phone is as bad as car shopping. read more
