I have been a Verizon customer for 12 years. Brought my fiance to Verizon from AT & T. Called customer service to find out how to get his device paid off with remaining balance owed. Was told we had to pay it off ourselves. Then switch to Verizon then we would be reimbursed in the same amount back to us after a few months with a gift card. Only to find out I was misinformed & that now we are out the $400 as not only was I given the wrong information but also my inquiry was never logged into their system when I called, like they are supposed to do. Not only am I a loyal customer of 12 years but I brought them another customer. I asked if anything could be added as a discount in the amount but was given the run around by customer service again! Extremely frustrating & disappointment with Verizon. Thinking I need to cancel all 3 lines & take my business elsewhere!  I shouldn't  be misled & not given a solution while I'm out that much money. Misinforming customers & not fixing the problem is the best way to upset a loyal customer & lose them while they ensure to let people know how badly they conduct business. 04/18/21 3:00pm I went to the Verizon Store off of 42nd Street to buy 2 new phones (one for myself/one for the wife) & had a very unpleasant experience. Fist off I want to I reiterate that I DO understand the "no mask" mandate Texas governor passed, doesn't necessarily apply, if the a business itself still wants to enforce you to wear masks. I get it. My family and I have been really good about wearing our masks for over a year and have had no issues with any business(s) whatsoever. Today although, I had forgot to bring my mask with me & my wife had hers in her purse. She wore hers, I didn't have one. That's you is how it started. We had already been to several stores for the day, getting supplies for DIY's projects & had ZERO issues with any of the stores that were visited. I ended up dropping & breaking my phone at Home Depot & decided to just buy a new one instead of replacing the screen. My wife's phone was also up for an upgrade so it was more convenient to upgrade both at once. We arrived at the Verizon store and greeted by a woman at the door. She proceeded to ask for my name, telephone number & the purpose of our visit. All information was given and an employee then opened the door behind her to let her know he could help us in that exact moment. She said "ok good". As soon as she turned around and we were about to walk in she stops us and said "you need a mask to go in". I get it. It might be their policy but the way she said it and in the manner was so unacceptable. If this is their "policy" she should of let me know that I wasn't allowed to enter their business without a mask as soon as she saw me walk up to the door and before she asked me all her questions. This wasn't the case. She greeted us, asked for all my information, question the reason of our visit, spoke to me for a minute, asked for another employee if he was ready to help us & then turns around and says I can't go in without a mask. I mentioned to her I didn't have one & she just gave me a deer in the headlights look in complete silence. She didn't even bother to explain if it was policy or not. It was a very awkward and disturbing silence. If she really wanted to help/ease the situation she would of given an explanation or even apologized for the inconvenience. Neither was done. She gave me a look in complete silence, as if she was saying I was SOL. Very disrespectful & unprofessional in my opinion. Her judgment was extremely poor in handling this situation and in that I begin to wonder if Verizon even trains their employees in costumer service? My overall experience with this this Verizon Store in the past 20 years has always been above and beyond great, except for today. I was greatly disappointed with the woman at the door. I believe the woman was a manager (which would make this worse if she is) and if so, she should have better judgment and training when it comes to dealing with situations that arise. Because if this I will most likely NEVER step foot in that store again and would rather travel the 20 min it takes to visit the Midland location. Customer service is a staple to any business & should be a priority to new & repeated costumers. Based on the reviews (1 star) of this particular location it is very clear that costumer service, or lack there of, is almost nonexistent. The midland corporate store is usually my go to store, they have never given me issues, but this store the second I told them I was prepaid the body language of the representative changed immediately and refused to provide me the service I'm used to receiving from the other corporate store. They stick me on the phone to speak with a prepaid department, the store couldn't give me a Sim card the reps explanation "the system won't let us sale it out" what the hell does that mean to me? This is unacceptable to me, as a business owner I thought the level of service was second-rate. I had high expectations coming in here. Just know a short drive to Midland will make a world of difference in customer service. Definitely my last time coming to this sad represenation of Verizon retail. read more

The service is horrible. They just try to get rid of you but don't even attempt to fix the issue. I was super close to discontinuing my service with them u til I went to another store and actually got good service. Thanks for nothing, asshats. read more

this store on 42nd and tanglewood is horrible!! i went in to get help transferring my phone to a new one, and they made me feel like i was such an inconvenience than helpful.so i went to the mall for the same problem. i was welcomed with the best smile from david and he helped me so much!!! thankyiu david for being great at your job. read more

If I could give a zero (0), I would. Trying to get ahold of store manager to file an official complaint on an employee ( last name tag he had on said he was some type of manager Army Veteran- tonight, not wearing name tag). Rude, would not let me finish what I was saying. Told me verizon does not help its customers switch there phones over to the new ones. I never got to the part that, verizon is the one who sent me the phone because of a manufacturer defect in the one I have. I ask when did they stop doing that? His response a long tome ago. We just bought my husbands phone 4 months ago. I asked why were they doing it all these years and even recent when we bought my husbands phone. His response, it's a courtesy. The store was slow, he is a manager with no courtesy, who does not care about the way he presents himself to his team and customers. One of the managers I met 4 months ago said if there were any problems to let her know... too bad you can't get ahold of her, because the store number listed leads right to the verizon main call center. Won't be going back to this verizon. No point since the customers do not matter. I'd rather drive the distance to Midland where I know they treat their customers with courtesy. read more

I just moved back from SA to Midland and I have always enjoyed visiting the Odessa Store on 42nd. Ted and his Team have always provided exceptional service. Keep up the great work! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I already told the GM that they have garbage customer service after my experience. The employees can't figure out how to help you with phone issues and they don't give you options when they can't figure out a solution. These idiots didn't even know how to check if I had insurance. I bought a "brand new" iPhone X there in 2018 and turns out it was actually a refurbished phone with shoddy work done on the inside. The employee who sold me the phone opened the box before giving it to me but he told me it was brand new. Let's just say I went to the Verizon in Midland...not only did they find out that I had insurance, I got a HUGE deal on a new phone from their kind employees because they found good offers!!! Plus they are all very knowledgeable. GO TO MIDLAND!!! read more

Went in this store a few days ago, and the girl (April) 'greeting' customers at the door was doing anything but that. I don't think I have ever experienced such a negative attitude paired up with a smile, right upon walking in the door-quite a combo! I think if you are going to be working in customer service, at least attempt to be a positive face for the company. Thankfully another employee, David, stepped in and was able to make up for her sheer unpleasantness. He was soft spoken, polite, and very helpful. Thank you to him, and he should be commended for being an asset to Verizon. If I am correct, Verizon employees get a commission, so if you shop here, you should ask for him! I don't know how she still has a job. I will be doing business elsewhere, and advising my friends and employer to do the same! read more

Bad customer service! The sales rep. that "helped" us was not helpful at all. She didn't provide any info on getting my deal that came with phone even when u asked. We spent a lot of money in this store to be treated rudely. A few more things happened that I will be filling s complaint about. I was in the store a second time due to my brand new phone not working. After being on the phone for 2 days for a few hours with Verizon, they determined after having it for only 6 days that they will have to replace it. Having to drive a second time for 1.30 hours, second time was no different. They told me I was getting the same screen protector and said it was cracked. I in no way in hell broke that screen only 6 days in. The screen broke while sales rep held it. The first rep took her in the back and said something to her. 2nd rep not so nice after that. We spent over $1400 and we got Terrible service! Not so happy with this phone anymore. read more
