This is seriously the ONLY Verizon store I will go to in Jacksonville. Yes, I had to cross the Buckman & kill some time before they opened @ 9am, but I stay with their service and go to this location because: 1) It is a corporate store that I trust & have never had a bad experience here. 2) It has competent, knowledgeable service people that will help solve your issue. 3) It has been consistently reliable over the years. 4) They always offer some great deals and many product options when I visit. 5) The staff here have given me no-nonsense advice on my cell service & plans. Overall, this place is outstanding with excellent customer service and I always leave happy with my questions answered and exactly what I came here to accomplish. There's a reason why this place has a low rating. I walked in with a new Verizon phone to transfer my contacts from the old phone. Mr. Sales pitch proceeds to try and convince me that I should pay $30 to conduct said process. It's bad enough that you knock peoples heads off with the price of the phone and the price of the phone plans, a little courtesy goes along way. read more

Went in with my mother to buy a screen protector for my phone and car charger for her car. Seth was polite but broke my phone case when he took it off to attach the new screen protector. It snapped and it was obvious he realized what he had done right away. He asked "was it like that?" and I replied "no." I had just taken it off yesterday and it was totally fine. One would have thought he would have offered to provide/order me a new one as he broke it, but he just handed it back to me. I asked why he wasn't going to provide me a replacement given the fact he broke it, but his partner in the store condescendingly stated that my phone is too old as if that's a problem. Not all of us are male techie nuts whose self-image relies upon having the newest electronic devices. I have an iPhone XR. It is NOT that old. I take care of my things, and if they don't have cases in the store, they should be ordering one online for me. But for argument's sake, if they have the screen protectors for an iPhone XR in the store, why don't they have the cases in the store too? In any event, I know Verizon still could order cases for an XR online. They're just lazy and would rather tech-shame women. As someone with a law degree who understands Torts, I find this inexcusable. Edit: My mother just realized they sold her a car charger that does not fit her phone. I guess they rudely assumed she has a newer iPhone as well. We're paying Verizon customers and so long as Verizon is still able to service our phones, they should be able to provide us accessories that are compatible with our devices. read more

The supervisor at this store Hugh Jones is incredibly rude and unprofessional. I have spoken with his supervisor but I wanted to write this review to warn others. I went into this location on the advice of a customer service rep to try to return my internet box that I have been trying to return since December and have been given the run around. Hugh comes to tell me they can't take it at the store. Instead of helping me call customer service as I told him the numerous issues I was having he said he wouldn't do that and would only notate my account. I said they had poor customer service and also advised another customer of this. Hugh Jones then said he would no longer help me and even called the police on me! I have never been treated more poorly or been more embarrassed in my life. I have been told that he would be coached but I honestly feel that Hugh Jones needs to be terminated. Treating a customer so poorly is uncalled for. And to add insult to injury, when I advised him he no longer had my permission to access my account, he told me don't tell him what to do. If this is the type of management that Verizon employs then I fear for any future interaction that I may need to have for my phone service. read more

This store has always been my go to store and yet today, the manager named Kyle, could not have been more snarky or more obnoxious. I had to do all I could to just sit there and take it because I needed the repair of my screen. I find Verizon to be the most user-friendly company that I deal with and it's a shame. But when you walk into a store and none of the original employees are there, and they have been replaced by somebody who is so below grade for public contact, it is a travesty. read more

I bought my 1st phone here and have had Verizon as my carrier forever! We had been going to a rural area in NC and Verizon was the only service there so we started with them and stayed. I know there are many providers available and if you stay in one area probably they're all acceptable BUT if you travel a bit...Verizon is the best! Both my daughter using Vorizon in NC and my getting a new phone was a huge headache and felt left out on a limb. Originally, I'd thought Vorizon was the premier cell phone carrier. Not so any more. Had a problem with my bill, which had charges I was unaware of, and the problem could not be solved with customer service online or over the phone. I had to drive over. In the past, this would have been a quick stop. It turned into a 4 hour ordeal. The top service person where I went could not take care of my problem. I got the impression Vorizon was cutting corners, big time. He had to call Vorizon national customer service line, the same one I'd called at home, and went through several reps before anyone could solve a simple problem. I could go into more detail, but suffice it to say, I'll be going to T Mobile next time. After numerous attempts to get her own line and a new functioning phone, she returned her phone, cancelled her Vorizon service and got a new functioning phone with T Mobile quickly and in a professional manner, without unnecessary complications. I think Vorizon is just wanting to sell phones and get you out the door as quickly as possible and then not provide timely or professional service. It seemed like they caused as many complications as possible so you just buy their phone and then avoid going in for anything else, to avoid the time consuming hassle. read more

My family has 8 phones, two watches, and an iPad with Verizon. My wife went in to get our youngest his first phone. The sales person removed our insurance and allegedly reinstated it and told my wife to check with the insurance company. She did it showed we were covered. My iPhone 11 was dying we went to make an insurance claim and we were told for 90 we could upgrade to a 12 which I did. A week later it was stolen. It turned out we didn't have insurance despite paying for it. My wife got Verizon to reinstate the insurance and their solution was to tel us to defraud the insurance company and lie about the date it was stolen. I called the insurance company and told them the truth. They put it back on Verizon. I've called both the store and the 800 number and have gotten no help. Other than call this number which only operates during business hours. Every time I use this store something happens. We have a complex account and they can't seem to figure out what to do. Go directly to Apple or use AT&T. read more

I was a customer from 2006- 2010. I had the unlimited plan then it went away and I wasn't grandfathered in. They would not drop my extra line since it was in contract so I bit the billet and paid for it. After 2009 it went downhill. Terrible customer service and fraudulent services. Tried to say that my bill was $800 one month for my $130 personal mobile service. Last time I checked, there's no way that could happen. Even after going over on my data by 20 gigs (which I only would go over 1 gig at most) it still wouldn't calculate. I never received a breakdown of my bill (like I asked for) and phone CS would only tell me "that's just what you owe us". Yeah, great job Verizon. You're a scam for such a large company. You lost my family and friends' business, not to mention the company's business. You're so far from being an honest company and you have no integrity. Bye!!!! read more

Watch out when you make your purchase. My sales guy had a few extra items that I didn't ask for and that he planned to ring up with the rest of my purchase - specifically two $50 screen protectors. When I noticed them I asked if they were free...he said no and gave me the price. Why on earth would you just add items that I will have not asked for and that are not free? I can see how customers can easily get duped/confused with the "upgrade fees" "activation fees" "stepping into the store fee" by the time all is said and don't you don't know what you've been charged...therefore making it easy for a salesperson to sneak in a few commission generating items in your total. read more

So I help my parents by adding a phone line and simple phone for my 88 year old mom. She passes away before using the phone. The Verizon person on their corporate line is helpful and removes the line and says to drop off phone at local store and they will return. The girl at this store tells me , no I need to return the phone via fed ex and when I ask questions she gets a small box and fed ex label and boxes up the phone with no packing material with it bouncing around in the box and tells me to drop off next store to fed ex. Fed ex says it is likely to get damaged if returned that way so I pay $4.00 to pack properly. Confirmation: I will stay with AT &T and always avoid Verizon now. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a cell phone provider. I went here 3/23/18 to upgrade my phone to say this young lady didn't know what she was doing is an understatement. I had to leave the phone which is a work phone for two hours which I understood. However when I returned she had done nothing because she forgot to disable the password feature (I put my password in for Her to get started) she did say she tried to call me UMMMMM you had my phone???? So I waited another hour. She said by the time I got to work it would have updated. It did not and was unusable to make or receive calls. So then she needed to give me a new phone and start all over. While I was there they blurred annoying music and discussed their 401ks oh and btw the manager RICKY participated and thought that was ok. It's not!Now I get the first bill and a partial credit for the old phone is on the bill and then removed I just spent 50 minutes on the phone with Verizon to be told I only get half of what she told me and that he would get me a credit. I had 14 days to return the phone which ended yesterday. NEVER NEVER USE THIS STORE . read more

Very upset. I moved here from Canada and simply wanted a new sim card to put in my phone. First Verizon shipped my sim card to the wrong address. I called Verizon and I was told to go to a local store to get a new card. I went to the store and the CR put in the new sim card. I went to my car and realized that he didn't give me back my original Canadian sim card. Nor did he offer to give it back.  I literally went back a minute later and asked him for my sim card. His response was that he put it in the shredder and that I can request a new sim card. Wow - just wow. That's not the point. It had all my information on it. I called Verizon and I was told by the supervisor through the call contact centre that they value security. I was transferred over to the store manager at Verizon and he admitted that it was human error and he apologized. However he said there was nothing he could do to remedy the situation. I am utterly disgusted. I then contacted my Canadian cell phone company and they said that he should not have done that as it was still an active service and had my contacts on the sim card. I will be switching to AT&T ! read more

Go to any other store but this one!!! This place is messed up from the top down. Benny the store manager is a real trip. They placed the order for my phone under the wrong number on our family plan. I got my phone set up and they activated the wrong number, my mothers, to my phone. Her phone which she uses for work got shut off ( she's a nurse who does home visits with critically ill patients!) We live 4 hours away from each other. Their was no way to track her down to get her phone reactivated because she was out all day for work. Her patients could not get a hold of her. Verizon wireless customer service line finally got it all worked out. I went to tell the manager (Benny) how frustrating this was and ask to be compensated the $30 it cost me to upgrade my phone, since they didn't upgrade the right number in the first place! Very unsympathetically he said he was sorry. He didn't even look up who it was who placed the order for my phone! (umm you don't want to fix this problem in the future ??) He said I can't reimburse the charge. I asked him, you can't or you won't. He said, I won't. What Can I say, Careless and not customer friendly.
