I was dreading going to the Verizon store to upgrade my ancient phone. Tim provided excellent customer service, hearing what I needed and my concerns, not trying to up-sale this old guy on a tight budget, and patiently switching devices with different operating systems. Thank you Tim!! You were exceptionally helpful. 5 stars all day! read more

I have mixed feelings about getting services or buying new equipment through Verizon in store it seems like with promotions they have are sometimes misleading due to our experience of what is actually offered as a Verizon customer. where yesterday we were told that by employee in the store that we were able to do a one for one trade meaning the phone would be covered and of course any fees that applied will reflect that. But today that was not the case unfortunately we end up only getting a credit instead of getting even trade in to applied to the new phone. But after we got the salesperson to understand what we was told. he did clarify that the deals to change from time to time very understanding and that we only had basic plan and that didn't applied to the offer that was present. read more

As a Verizon customer for almost 20 years, my experience today with Justin was disheartening. I was scheduled to pick up my new phone and the customer service was subpar. I had questions and Justin nonchalantly blew me off. I had to pursue him to ask more questions. He handed me the phone and walked away. I felt devalued today as a customer. I know that this is not indicative of the brand but training on customer etiquette should be a priority. read more

We had a great experience with the associate Tevon, he made it very easy to understand and is easy to talk to. Would go again.

1 person on the floor helping people. I waited 20 minutes, while at least 4 employees came in to their office in the back of the store. I knocked on their office door to speak with the manager. I was told by Tim, an employee that came to the door, " we're only human and going as fast as we can." I explained that was unacceptable response. He cared less. This Greenbriar store has Yelp rating of 2. Spoke with the manager who transferred from another store 1 week ago and wants to improve things. Employee Sheldon helped me and was outstanding! Hopefully things change. read more

I've been in this store multiple times and the associates always lack basic customer service skills. Most of the associates give off an unwelcoming demeanor that makes me feel like they are irritated to help me. I wanted to talk about changing my plan for the SECOND time in the store and both associates just talked at me with a bunch of numbers, not presenting the information and pricing where it was easy for me to pick the best plan for ME. But that's the point, talk to the customer like they are dumb and don't show all the numbers so the customer can't see they are over paying for services they don't need. I was told multiple times I would lose my discount if I down graded my plan, that's because they knew I'd be saving money overall when downgrading regardless of their discount. This review concerns the store at 1224 Greenbrier Pkwy in VA but also applies to the 2 VERIZON stores in the Outer Banks. Staff (maybe 6 or 7 clerks) on Greenbrier were standing around-not busy. I heard someone say-who wants to take this one. Someone approached me (maybe CHAD ?)--once he found out I needed an updated flipflip phone- he talked me out of the "only" flip phone they had--not good he said. I should go over to Best Buy. Staff at Outer banks were likewise extremely unhelpful, Corporate Office should know what is happening at their stores, If I could give 0 stars, I would. read more

I have made several calls to Verizon Wireless about the poor network service in East Greenbrier Chesapeake. Verizon Wireless makes trouble tickets and claim the network is fixed with each trouble ticket. I went into this store and tried to talk to someone about the issue. No help. I left Verizon Wireless and went to T-Mobile. Great network for about the same amount of money. Just got tired of paying $100 per month for a crappy network. Verizon Wireless, you need to step up your game :( read more

Came in thinking about doing an upgrade. Was there about 15 minutes. Wasn't acknowledged once. Until I was leaving for the door when I was told to have a good evening. There were three clerks doing nothing but joking with each other. Other customers had a rep and were being taken care of. Guess since it was closing time at 8 they were not wanting to wait on someone. Thanks Verizon. read more

Cause it takes two weeks for them to cash a check. The online billing takes a week. Whats wrong with their billing. Its horribke

If you know exactly what you want you can be in and out within 25 minutes. They were polite all though not as knowledgeable as I would expect (had no idea what a OnePlus 7 Pro was). They ended up having the pixel 3a I was looking for in the color that's sold out most everywhere but didn't carry the google cases which was a bummer. Also parking isn't too bad out front. I do have to give three stars though as the guy helping me, Doug, rushed putting my screen protector on and actually damaged it now that I got home and checked it out. I like the in and out quickness but on his part after he got my money he definitely rushed putting it on. Debating whether I want to go back and deal with them or not. Knowing Verizon nothing will come of me going back, so I guess I can just warranty three screen protector immediately after having it put on. I'll add a picture to show what I mean. Edit: Took it back the day of purchase after calling the store back. Over the phone I spoke with the manager, Sarah, who quickly made me aware that it's a courtesy for them to apply the screen protector, and that they are NOT liable if they break it during application. Our conversation quickly turned into an argument as she became more frustrated with me not willing to back down. When I went back to the store, before I said anything, I showed a random employee the screen protector who validated my opinion of it having some type of crack / hairline fracture. After asking for Sarah she eventually came out from the back and began inspecting the screen protector for several minutes. She seemed upset to help me, but either way I received a new screen protector. In the future, I hope they make people aware that they're not liable when applying such products. When they offer to put it on with confidence, when you never asked them for help, why would they not be liable after breaking it? read more

I asked Verizon to selll me a phone ON MY BUSINESS account after being a Verizon customer for 11 years that did not have international calling capabilities. They assured me this was the case and I purchased the phone. Someone was able to call internationally to the tune of $8,000.00 dollars on that phone after being assured it could not happen. After never having international calls for my business before. I have been on the phone with Verizon for more than 30 times and they won't do anything about selling us a phone under false pretenses. We have a small Veteran owned, senior citizen owned business that has always tried to do the right thing for our customers. When trying to discuss this with Verizon you have to go thru the many layers of the electronic systems to get to a live person. They have promised many return phone calls that never happen. Many times they have hung up on us and we have had to to go the 45 minutes to try to get to a live person over and over again. We have spoken to customer care managers, the billing department and have been told they are working on it. They stated we should be able to take care of this and instead turned off attached phones and data to our business devices. They have never once made a promised return phone call or email. They lie and say we can expect a response in a certain time frame and never once have they responded. Verizon wants your money and they don't care about the customer service they provide. It's sad that they are willing to make a dollar off the hard working backs of their customer but can't even keep their promises of returning a phone call. #VERIZONCUSTOMERISNONCARING #DON'TUSEVERIZON read more

My husband and I were just in this Greenbrier store. We had gone in bc of a plan change and weren't sure we had made the right decision. We were thinking we needed to up the plan to include more data, etc. The guy that waited on us met us with a " what do you want" attitude. We explained and he told us the plan was pending and there was nothing he could do until after the billing cycle. He was totally not interested in helping and was rude. My husband asked him when the new billing cycle started and he didn't know. My husband told him, "you have the account open, can't you look?" His reply was, "ok, it starts today, you can check tomorrow" You need some "customer reps" there Verizon because he sure isn't one! Please don't respond with, "sorry you had a bad experience." How about you? Leave me some contact information and let me give you a call because you missed an upgrade in our plan! read more

I've had my fair share of admittedly pretty bad experiences at other Verizon locations, but this one exceeded all expectations. I called before I arrived to make sure that a discount was still available on a particular phone and spoke with a very helpful Verizon representative. When I arrived a couple of hours later, we were greeted by many Verizon representatives who were ready to help. (Note, this is possibly the first time I've never had to wait to be helped at Verizon. Sometimes more than an hour.) Ben Riggs, who answered my questions previously, happened to be the same representative to help us. He was FANTASTIC. Hands down the best Verizon employee I've ever met. He made sure we got the best deals--on our phones, our accessories, and even our monthly plan--and made a great sale without being pushy at all. My husband and I effectively got free phone cases with the discounts he helped us get on our products. I'd highly recommend this store! read more

terrible customer service. My phone is basically constantly switch on and off the network. I go in for help and all they can try and do is sell me wifi. I need my phone to work outside of my home. thanks. Then I buy a new phone and because I didn't buy it with them I received no help. I once again have to return to the store because they gave me the new phone without activating the esim (according to Apple). which is why I usually only deal with Apple. Lesson learned. read more

Being that I'm new to Verizon this was not a good first encounter. I walked into this branch to see how I would go about trading in my old phone and the process of combing my fios bill with my wireless. I literally was given the "I don't know" and "I'm not sure response" and then I was given a sticky note with the 1800 number to call. Definitely not a friendly environment. Will not be returning to this location. I hope this place does not set the precedent for all Verizon stores. read more

Even if you make an appointment they can't keep it! They expect you to show up at the store, and sit and wait until they can get to you. You are better off talking with someone online/via telephone with Verizon directly and just pick up your items at this store, or have them shipped to your door. This is a much better experience than dealing with the people at this location. read more

Ask for Brian !! We walked in tonight unfortunately because my 3 year old iPhone had broken (software malfunction?). Needless to say, I needed a new phone. Brain walked us through all our options with different iPhones and GB choices. Brain was incredibly patient with me as I was very indecisive as to what I wanted, even down to the phone cases. I am very happy with the decision I made & had a pleasant visit at Verizon. Thank you Brain for all your help & amazing customer service ! read more

Was all set to buy new iPhone and iPad. $1500 in equipment and they want to throw in $100 in hidden fees. I thought we had moved past this.

Verizon is charging for equipment that I have returned. They fail to acknowledge this fact. I signed up for FIOS, then I came to find that they have me dial up. I paid $49.58 for 1 week of slow dial up service and they stick me with the equipment charge. I returned the equipment. read more

This is quite possible the worst store! We spent over 3.5 hours just trying to buy a phone and get started with Verizon. We had the newest employee he was trying so had but he couldn't figure out how to transfer our phone numbers. He asked a team member and ultimately the manager for help. Both people blew him off. The manager requested we come back another day!!! After waiting for over 3 hours I was leaving with my new phone that I had already paid for. The managers shift ended and he walked out of the store with no resolve for us. The sales associate became so flustered it became clear that our new phones weren't going to get activated. I called the 800 number and activated the phones myself and then was CHARGED 40 dollars per line by the store for activation-- something that no one there could figure out how to do. I said I wanted that money refunded or taken off my bill. I was supposed to have the manager call back. 2 weeks with no call back I followed up with 800 number This was the worst store! I'm hoping there are better stores or I will be switching carriers because their customer service is awful!!! read more

I've have been a Verizon Wireless customer for 10 years almost all my family and friends have Verizon. It's a little on the expensive side but you get really good service. I've been here several times as this is my go-to Verizon store. Everyone here is pretty nice and go out of their way to provide you great customer service. Once you get inside, there's someone to greet you and put your name in line to be serviced next. This location seems to get the brunt of people on busy days. I came here on a Saturday and a Monday (it was a holiday) and both days were packed with people. The wait times ranged form 40 minutes to an hour. There's only so much you can do in a phone store to keep you from keeping bored. I ended up calling *611 to get my things straight. I say try calling Verizon first than try going into this store and fighting the crowd. read more

They refuse to honor their deals and try to screw you into paying full price. Wasted an entire day trying to get then to honor the simple deal, absolutely unacceptable. Chose to upgrade and use their Black Friday trade-in deal for a new iPhone 11. We live in an apartment so we couldn't do the signature verification for delivery to our mailroom, so we chose to pick up in-store. Placed order Thursday and got an update saying "Don't go to the store yet, your order isn't ready" then Friday got another email "Your order is here! Come pick it up! We'll hold it for 3 days". So we go in Sunday afternoon to find they cancelled the order because their "3 days" begin from when the order is places (EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE CLOSED THURSDAY), and even though they stated on Friday that they'll hold it for 3 days. Clerk even commented that "We were the first of many with this situation", and had the audacity to try to sell us it at full price like nothing happened and was shocked when we said no. Went home to review the paperwork and receipts to see if I just missed something (didn't see anything about the "3 days starts from the order placement, not when we tell you it's in stock and we're holding it for 3 days") so we called the manager, who simply said it was stated somewhere and that was that, sorry not sorry. DO NOT waste your time here, go with someone else who actually values you as a customer. read more

The performance of the Verizon leaves a lot to be desired. I went to Verizon to order a replacement phone and the phone was ordered the associate told me the phone would be delivered on Thursday. I checked with Verizon and one associate told me the phone was shipped that is all I know. Later that afternoon I went back to Verizon and asked to speak to the manager and the manager looked the order up and said the order is in transit and it delivered by 8 pm. The statement by the manager is an out an out not true. The statement in transit means its in route to the tidewater area not out for delivery. The manager needs to e retrained and associates also need to be retrained in customer service and telling the customers the truth about orders being sent to them. I am now getting ready to go in the third day with no phone. This is unacceptable and I' think it is time to look for another cellphone carrier. read more

OMG!, where to start. This is the worst store ever. I walked in to upgrade my phone but they tried to con me into every thing but a phone. I did, however, get the phone but in the process I was talked into getting two tablets for &10.00 each a month plus &10.00 a month for each line, and a hum for $10.00 a month. I figured I could afford and extra $50.00 a month, but man was I surprised when I got my next bill, it read $700 which was sent to me via email and two days later I received another bill showing $900. I went into the store to question it only to find out the tablets had to be paid in full and not $10 a month, which came to $300, so I gave them back, along with the hum. While at the store I received another email showing my bill was $1000, I showed it to the manager and she looked at me and said not to worry about it, they were still working on the bill. Two days later I received another bill showing $800. Bottom line is, be careful when dealing with these people, cause their bottom line is to lie and get the most out of the customer any way they can at customer expense. Needles to say, I am no longer a Verizon customer. read more
