Verizon is a scammy company. They said they'd give me a $300 phone for free if I stayed with them for 30 months, and then a few months in, upped my monthly rate +$12/mo, so I ended up having to pay for the phone via their forced rate hike. If I leave I have to pay the remainder so I'm stuck buying the phone EITHER WAY. Either I pay the $300 to leave (buying out the phone) or stay for the remainder of the 30 months for the additional $300 paid out monthly via their forced rate hike. Partially due to COVID I'm sure, the customer service seems to have declined significantly. I went in to the Verizon store because I was having trouble with my order online. There were multiple times during the encounter that I was told "we no longer do that in store". Additionally, the associate was not knowledgeable of the current promotions. After paying for 2 day shipping I received my new phone 7 days later. Not because the shipping companies are running behind, but Verizon didn't ship my phone until I contacted customer service 3 days later. Got the phone and Called the local number for my local store and made an appointment. Told them exactly what I was needing done and was told no problem see you at 3:30. Get there and was told we don't do that you where misinformed. Given attitude and a sheet of paper to do the process of transferring my old phone to my new phone. Spent 1 hour doing that after spending an hour on a trip to the store and back. The transfer was not complete with their little app, it only transfered my pictures and contacts. No texts, emails, or calendar info or apps. So I research and find out the iPhone does it automatically when you set it up. Well I never saw that because the guy at the Verizon store went through the setup and installed SIM card for me but neglected to let me know he skipped that part. So I reset my phone to factory settings and miraculously the iPhone transfers my data to the new phone in 14 minutes. Just want to thank Verizon as a whole for wasting days and hours of my life. I went yesterday to switch from att to Verizon. Dee was helping me. I just want to say that the customer service she provided was poor. First, she went behind a door way where she was setting up our service when a friend of hers walked in. He stood by her as she was setting up my service and keeping hollering questions to me from where she was standing with her friend standing next to her. I finally had to get up to see what her friend was able to see on my account screen. He promptly left after I stepped up. Finally, she able to set up the account. She said she would text instructions to get a free gift card which she never did. Plus, she did not give me a detail receipt Of my plan purchase! I had to call Verizon to get it. Quite a bad experience. I felt like I was guilty that my iphone charger jack stopped working. Granted, they used an iPhone charger to test it and it worked... but at home, in my car, and at work the chargers were not working. The charger I have at home is an Apple charger by the way. I have had bad experiences at this location in the past and would drive out of my way to avoid it. I ordered an HTC One online and accidentally purchased the windows phone instead of the Android. I tried it out anyway and was horrified by it, so I called their location and asked if I could exchange it in store. Yes! Unlike some carriers, they let you do that. When I walked in I was expecting the normal customer service and anticipated a long wait. It didn't happen. I was immediately helped, got my phone swapped out, and was out of there with a functional device. The CS rep even offered to transfer my data, but droid users know that's not necessary. Everyone was nice even when a very angry man who "was calling the CEO" was rude to them. Thank you for fixing the customer service issues at this location. if i could i would give this place negative 100 terrible experience. my boyfriend and i were in the cedar hill store on 10/03/21 the staff seemed friendly but the rep we had seemed distracted and didnt explain things very well and then to top that off she flat out straight up lied to us she told us that we were getting a $45 plan each and we both got insurance on the phones at like $20 each and the phones were free but we had to stay on the plan for until the free phone is paid off make sense of that for me. anyway it was supposed to be two phones with ins and an account for us together that was $45 each before we left it somehow became 2 separate accounts and the plans were changed from $45 to $90 plus ins and the phones so they want $177 for my first bill then $135 a month after that from each of us. these people have lost their freaking minds and also if we decide not to stay with this sh*t they forced us to eat it would cost an additional $100 to restock a free phone that i an pretty certain does not cost $100. these people are straight up rip off artists and they are deceitful and they gave my boyfriend a paper receipt but they sent mine paperless so when he looked at the paper which at that time we were still under the impression that we were on the same account so he didnt question the $90 price tag then we stayed on the phone with them almost all day monday and then again the next day and we still have to go tomorrow and return the phones and cancel the service hell i think i would rather use metro piece of sh*t before i ever try with these people again and i hate metro piece of sh*t and swore i would never go back with them so that is pretty bad i do not recommend you use this store at least unless you totally feel like getting it in the *ss because they dont care if they put you into financial hardship they are just looking at more money for their sales guess what people you may think customers are a dime a dozen right now but keep one thing in mind when your company collapses we made you you didnt make us treat us like sh*t and lie to us make our lives more difficult one bad review leads to another and another and so on then word spreads by mouth and fb reviews and there it is baby watch the cookies crumble right out from under your fortune 500. just know that we know and completely believe in karma so as your sales decrease ever so slightly month after month and you dont understand its karma so remember that and have a nice day while you can and thanks for screwing me over good i am disabled and i was got by these b*tches and i dont appreciate it if i had money i would buy me a lawyer and sue you for lying to us and false advertisement but i dont have the money it takes to sue you feel lucky for that and you and your company can go get f*cked sorry piece of sh*t excuses for human beings read more

Request Clarence. He's young and VERY technology savvy. No offensive to the others there but he is very knowledgeable and knows ALL the special features on the new iPhone x and he showed me rather quickly. He was very patient with me and we couldn't get my iphone X volume working so he ordered me a new iphone with no hassel. He let me keep my current iphone until the new phone was mailed to me 2 days later... He said once the new phone comes in, to come back and he will get me all set up. He said request him because I have more than 1 icloud account and I need all my accounts backed up onto my new iphone, which I have no clue how to do. Once you find a good tech, stick with them.. I will be sticking with Clarence, he makes my apple life more enjoyable when in need. Also, I planned on buying the new ipad, he told me they'll be on sale for Black Friday. I LOVE saving money... Clarence will get def get that sale because he didn't have to inform me of the sale. I am SURE he will set that ipad up for me as well. I am grateful for him because I hate a tech that has no clue, I already have no clue at times but it doesn't help when we BOTH have no clue. 9/27/2016 - Went to Verizon (Cedar Hill Texas Location) to upgrade my Samsung Galaxy 5. Salesman advised that if I wanted to try the I-phone 7 and did not like it, I could return it in 14 days for a 35.00 restocking fee. Then he gave me $120.00 credit for returning my Galaxy 5 and told me that if I bought something off the center display that I would get a $200.00 credit off of the phone I was purchasing. I did not need anything off that shelf but if it was actually going to save me money it made sense. I asked the man what is the cheapest thing on the shelf and he said this waterproof speaker is $79.00. Simple math, I pay 79.00 and you give me a 200.00 credit off my phone, all is well. I left the store and started using my I-phone right away and knew by the next day that I did not like it, the size, the feel, the apps, etc. Nothing about it did I like so after I picked up my three year-old from daycare, I went to the Verizon Store again with child in tow, this is going to be easy right? Well, I told the sweet young sales lady what the deal was and she started doing the deal on the return. As she was ringing up the Galaxy7 and the cover and extra charger I was going to buy she found that the $200.00 deal that was on for yesterday was not on for today and that I would have to pay not only the 35.00 restocking fee but that I would also have to pay $200.00 today and she thinks this would be able to be credited back to me later when they filled out a form and sent it in. I explained to her that I was not told that yesterday and asked the assistant manager if she could just take the speaker back that I did not need and give me the $79.00 for it and I would apply that and pay the difference. Here's where I started getting upset, she then tells me the speaker was just a purchase and had nothing to do with the promotion. WHAT, POOF! MIND BLOWN!!! So yesterday, your man played me? In that case I told her, I would like to return this speaker, as you can see it is not opened all seals are in tact and here is my receipt, "I am sorry mam, we can't take those back". After this point she proceeded to call me a liar in front of my Son and all the customers in the store. I raised my voice when she raised her voice and then she asked me to leave. (I should have left at that point) I lowered my voice at this point in shock that a customer of over 11 years with a phone plan that has 10 devices on it (It is our business phone account) that pays over 750.00 a month and who you just told was scammed out of $79.00 would be called a liar and asked to leave the store. I felt and still do, degraded, demoralized, assaulted, humiliated & robbed. I called the police because she would not give me the money back on the speaker and because she refused to give me her managers information. The police came and although they were not able to file a claim they did give me an incident report number and they got her business card. After I got in the car and started the 20 mile drive back to my house my emotions of all the terrible things she said came and I cried the whole way home. My husband called Verizon corporate as soon as I got home and they said the store was wrong on the phone and they are sending me a new on on Friday and applied all the credits. I still have a $79.00 speaker I did not need but that does not even matter compared to the distress I am still feeling today from these actions. Injustice is real and these companies should not be able to scam people like this and they certainly should not be able to treat people in such a manner, I mean it was so bad, I am still flustered today. I am a CFO mother of 4, I can handle most anything and I feel like I can't even work today, and that is just not right! Yes, I know, I can take my business elsewhere but really I can't because all 10 phones are on separate expiring contracts. I do plan to take each one off as they are available. read more

I had one good experience at this store, but today was horrible I recommend going to another Verizon. Some of the employees don't know that much stuff about the products they sell and give out wrong information. I went to the store today and my screen was literally coming out of my phone and I told the person who helped something was wrong with my phone he didn't even look at it and since it didn't turn on he automatically said it needed to be charged so he put it on a charger and nothing was wrong with my charger to begin with I already knew that, but he said it might be because I have a shortage in my charger already, but you can literally see my screen is popping out of my phone, so then i told another guy and he checked to see if I had warranty and I did, but he told me to bring my mom next time because I'm under her account and told me to tell her to call a number he gave me. I was so happy I called customer service cause it was way better than that store. I didn't even need my mom to call the number I did it myself and it went really well. I didn't understand why the people in the store couldn't give me a new phone, but customer service sent me one in the mail because I had warranty.
