Verizon stores are usually hell on earth. Hours of my life wasted. This was not the case this time. John is great and deserves a promotion.

I had a terrible experience with Verizon. The employees seemed to have no idea what they were doing. The representative helping us constantly had to ask other employees for help, but they didn't know the answers either. Instead of focusing on helping customers, they were talking about personal matters and even interrupted us while we were trying to explain our issue. It was very unprofessional. To make things worse, they asked us to do tasks ourselves instead of helping, just so they wouldn't have to spend more time with us. We specifically asked for the regular $120 internet plan, but somehow our bill ended up being $345. When we went back to ask why, we found out that random services and charges had been added to our account without our knowledge or permission. No one could explain how it happened. On top of the poor customer service, our internet doesn't work reliably, and the hotspot barely works either. Overall, this was an extremely frustrating experience. Every time we went to the Verizon store, wonderful sales personnel. This time, a young man with a :" Don't bother me attitude " Every question, not trying to assist us. Sent us to Geek squad at Best Buy read more

I never had a problem with them. Excellent service, great reception. Tried others found them to be the best.

The men at the Verizon store in Point Pleasant NJ were hostile & rude. They, especially the "asst manager" treated me so poorly, I couldn't get out of there more quickly. read more

Joel, the manager, should be demoted to window licker. I was having issues porting my number from my previous provider and after he explained to me that it "wasn't his problem" he then provided me with the same customer service number I had called 3 times. Thankfully, another wonderful employee did help me get my phone working- and shocker- it was on Verizon's end. read more

Although Verizon as a company is reliable and the phone service works well, I have never been thrilled with the customer service when I have gone into the store. Usually I know more about the products I'm buying than they do and they are not able to answer my questions. When I last upgraded, a few months ago and discussed changes in my plan, the rep I was working with could also not answer questions about the various plans, deals, and options. I wish I had as much confidence in the sales rep as I have in the Verizon service. read more

Never had a problem in this store. Anyone who complains obviously just doesn't know how sales people make a living. If you're going into a commission based store to make a purchase, you already know what the deal is. Don't bitch about "not knowing what you were getting" or "they sold me something I don't need" If you don't want it, just say no! I give these employees props because I would never want to have to deal with the bs they deal with all day long. Every person I have ever dealt with in this store has been polite, knowledgeable and thorough. Don't listen to any negative reviews- they're most likely written by idiots who go in the store to waste an employee's time needing to know how to turn their damn phone on. read more

All of these previous reviews are from years ago. Honestly I just went in yesterday because I needed a new phone. The customer service was amazing- I didn't wait at all- immediately was greeted and attended to. I knew what I wanted and the sales team was not pushy at all- they gave me the best deal possible and explained pros and cons to different phones I was thinking about. I even got a follow up text today to make sure everything went well & asking if I had any additional questions or issues!! Hands down a great location- great customer service. I have never been in and out of a Verizon store so fast in my life. Very painless and seamless experience. (Been a customer for 10+ years). Will be back to this location for future needs! read more

I usually dread purchasing a new phone, almost as much as I do a car. The feeling of some quick talking salesperson trying to get me to buy every bell and whistle that I don't need and will never use makes me shudder. Well, I am happy to say that today we were waited on by a Verizon salesperson named FRED who broke that image. He definitely restored my faith and made our shopping experience a pleasure. Awful customer service ... Dealt with a man named Matt - rude and disrespectful towards customers. Over heard him With other people then with us .. Didn't know how to interact with us politely. The whole store seems as if walking in and asking for help or needing answers to questions is a burden. Never going into this Verizon again just felt uncomfortable the whole time. read more

When purchasing a new iPhone, the store would not synch the two together. They seemed too busy and unwilling to help me. I don't have my own wifi or computer to do it myself. I have been in much more helpful Verizon stores before. The store in Brick (rte 70) is the worst experience I have ever had. They don't have any time to devote to customer service!!! They also need more training..., especially since it took the man 12 minutes of searching for grey settings icon. He wasted all that time before finally asking me where it was. Upon my showing him, he finally refused to help. I never met a more disrespectful man!!! read more

Absolutely terrible customer service! Not only do the salespeople LIE to customers but they don't apologize or try to help fix their own mistakes! Today was my mothers birthday and she wanted the new iPhone 8. She went in and before making her decision to purchase the new phone, she asked TWO salesmen if her voicemails from her phone would transfer to the new phone and they PROMISED her they would all be there. All she cared about was her voicemails being on the new phone since they were from her mother who passed away. And after being promised they would be transferred she purchased the new phone only to have her voicemails erased and gone forever. Thank you Andrew and Carney for lying to my mother and ruining her birthday. And thank you Simona for your terrible customer service when I went in to explain what had happened. My son is going away to college and Verizon is the only service that works in the area. So, I decided to go into the office and change his service to Verizon. When I walk in, there are a quite a few people there. All of the sales persons are busy with the exception of one saleswoman, white, mousey looking, glasses. So, I go and stand directly next to her desk as she is working on something on a desk. She looks busy so I patiently wait until she looks up before interrupting her. After waiting for about 7 minutes, a man walks in the front door. The saleswoman puts her belongings away, says to me, EXCUSE me, and walks past me over to the man who just walked in the door and says, "Welcome to Verizon. How may I help you?" Wait! What? Did you NOT see me standing here for the past 7 minutes directly in front of you...waiting for you to ask me how can you be of service? Well, I left. I will NEVER EVER give this Verizon one dime of my money. EVER. I will also rally and tell all the black folks in the surrounding area, how I felt this was a real racist move. Yes, I'm black. The man she ran to was white. I know good and well she SAW me standing there. I'm 5'7" and 210 lbs. My son is 6'6" and 290 lbs so she saw us. She is just a racist. And racist people have no place in this society. Verizon should be ashamed of themselves to hiring a racist such as her. read more

Sales reps need training on the deals they are offering. Manager needs training on how to deal with customers. I went in since it was time to upgrade my phone. Sales Rep, Mike, helped me out. Told him I was looking to get into an Iphone. We agreed on the phone and a plan. He told me if I traded in my Droid, I could get a Samsung tablet free. Sounded great. We agreed and he started the process. Goes in the back room and he and the manager come out. I was told by him they had some good news and bad news. Good news was that I still could get the deal on the Iphone. Bad news was that he "misspoke" about the tablet. Not that he lied or that he didn't know the programs. The managers way of making it right was by trying to get me to make monthly payments on the Galaxy S5 for only $20 a month. So I would be paying $240 since it was a year contract. I was only paying $30 for the Iphone. I told him that was not what I was looking to do. His response was pretty much, "well that is all we can offer" and walked away. I have no problems with the sales rep (he was very nice) telling me something that was untrue. I have a problem with the manager having zero personal skills and being so quickly to blow a customer off after his sales rep agreed to a deal. read more
