They also up-sold her the most expensive iphone and promised her a "$350 Reimbursement" for the phone she traded-in that I have yet to see. Absolutely egregious business practices, I cannot express enough how sickening it is for this establishment to take advantage of elderly women. I strongly recommend avoiding this place like the plague.

I recently traded in my iPhone 13 for a $700 off promotion on the iPhone 16. When I asked Jon to show me the trade-in deal information on AT&T's website (due to a past issue where I didn't receive my full credit for 3 phones), he refused to help and was very dismissive. He even threw my phone on the table when I asked him to find the information on the AT&T website. Jon told me it wasn't his job to assist with this and claimed that previous bad experiences were due to other employees not representing AT&T. Fortunately, another employee, Aayan, quickly found the information I needed in under a minute and was polite and professional. Jon's behavior was unacceptable, and I believe Aayan should be the manager instead.

He started by trying to repair my phone, or at least update it for a little more service life. When we could see that it would only be a temporary fix, I decided it was time for a new phone. My appointment was set for the day they moved their store to the local Meijer. I showed up and the only tech there took care of me (I had called earlier also) and took care of me as he should of. Found out my only issue was the electrical outlet I was using for my charger. Not my phone, my new charger or lightning cable. Nothing of mine. After my experience at the Verizon store near me, this is my go to Verizon store. I had previously…read morebecoming here when I was on a family plan with my folks as it was about a halfway between us point and the workers were incredibly helpful. I got my own phone plane earlier this month(first Saturday of June) and the worker who helped was incredibly helpful (not 100% sure who it was; maybe Naim, though I know that Matthew was the one who put the screen protector on). He went over all of my options and answered all of my questions. It was definitely a worthwhile trip. I also came here last Monday after my horrible experience at the Verizon store on Rochester Road in Rochester Hills. The amazing lady who greeted me was shocked by what I was told from the person who helped at the other store and how I was treated. She stated, that Verizon's policy was to get your phone up and running. Also that it is easier for them to put the screen protectors on as they learn/know the tricks for the various phones. It took her about 10 minutes to do it but that was really because she is a perfectionist on it. Everyone has always been so helpful at this store. And even though I'm not meeting my folks because I have my own plan, I will continue to come here.

It's embarrassing that customers are more informed than the staff. Instead of handling a simple upgrade, I was told it would take over an hour to complete what should be a quick, straightforward process. Trading in a phone and setting up a new one is not complicated, and the fact that it was treated like rocket science says everything about the lack of training here.
