After Brand X cellphone company hijacked my phone number on New Year's day, I rolled up to this Verizon location & spent at least 2 hours with Mark getting my phone & hotspot back up and running. He wasn't able to reinstate my old #, but I was so happy with his customer service and knowledge base that I don't care. The location was semi-busy all morning, popular site for walk-in traffic. This location is on Delaware, just before Hertel, in a strip shopping center that includes Fleet Feet, a Credit Union, and Little Caesars Pizza. Mark shepherded me through this perplexing issue with patience and kindness. If you ever have reason to visit this location, ask for Mark. He's the best! read more

They are thieves; they are lying to their customers and scamming them. This is the scam!! After you get done buying your phone, they tell you that you have to pay an amount to leave the store. They told me this amount was 300 dollars in taxes and fees. Then I said BS taxes and fees are not 300 dollars; what am I paying for. Then they told me that I was paying 150 for a case and charger. I said I don't want that!! Then I asked what the fee is for. And it was an 80-dollar fee to set up my phone. So I looked this up, and if you were at a corporate-owned store, they would charge you anywhere from 0 to 35 dollars to set up your phone. I told them I was not paying the 80 dollars, and they made me just pay taxes. So I agreed and had to return my phone the next day as a trade-in. There was an older gentleman buying what looked like the same phone, but this time the fee was 350 dollars. The gentleman asked what the bulk of this charge was, and the salesman said taxes and fees, but acted like the case and charge were part of the deal. I informed him of the scam, but this I am assuming if it was the same phone the setup fee was 130 dollars. This is TCC owned store and TCC states that they charge 29.99 as a set up fee. They can make the fee whatever they want. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!!! Make sure the store you go to is a corporate-owned store. read more

So this is a very mixed experience. Coming in you get a sales person who is probably going to be able to close a deal with you, talk about the benefits of the product. There's no question but that Verizon is very expensive compared to other carriers in the Buffalo area. So that's the downside. You agreed to buy the phone, and they have to order it and then they're supposed to call you when it comes in. Only they don't. So when you go back in to see if it's there or when it's expected in, and it turns out that it's been sitting in the back. So it takes hours to get you hooked up. I don't remember that happening when I went from one phone to another with AT&T but that might be because I stayed with the same carrier I'm not sure. And for sure check your bill. Because it definitely was a lot higher than I expected I had to call and get that all fixed. I was kind of a pain. read more

I had a good experience at this store. I worked with Dave G. who was extremely knowledgeable and seemed to be genuinely interested in helping us get the best deal possible. We worked through what would be the best plan and he assisted us in getting some additional discounts. The set up did take an extremely long time but I do not think that is the store's fault. There are set up fees and an additional charge for some type of water protection plan that it would have been better if he had been a little more transparent about. But with the additional discounts we got I was fine with it. I recommend this store. read more

Phone was bricked. Went in here, it's a licensee so they charge a setup fee, you will still get charged activation from Verizon in addition to this. which they do not tell you until they set the whole phone up, and you are about to leave. I bought a case, and had to pay tax on the phone, when asked for a card and told the total, I asked why so high, was told it was taxes, setup fee, and case. Was told the setup items were auto input, and rep couldn't change them. I mentioned taxes should be like $40ish, case was $30, so the setup fee was $60? Was told the set up fee was $30, and the taxes were higher than $40. I needed a phone so I paid. Was given the receipt folded in half. When I looked at it in the car, it had some BS redux water treatment charge for $30. I went back to ask, they said if my phone falls in water they put it in a machine, I said I didn't sign up for that, nor was I told that, they said it was part of setup. Do yourself a favor go to a real Verizon store, save the additional fees, and the random services you are not told about and you do not ask for. Total scumbag that sold me the phone. This very very nice young lady was a delight to do business with. Professional and patient to a fault!! Treated us like we were here own parents, didn't rush us, even though the store was extremely busy!! Took the time to show me how my new phone worked and even reviewed our old plan giving us better options on a different plan. Great employee!! A pleasure to do business with!! I purchased a phone at this Delaware verizon store. It took over two hours from start to finish. I had previously done my research and knew what phone I wanted to buy. But the sales people continued to try to sell me other phones regardless of my refusal. I was initially taken care of by Steven who REPEATEDLY talked about how popular he was with customers. My sale was completed by Tricia d/t Steven being busy with another customer. During that time, both sales persons continued to talk back and forth about personal things. VERY POOR customer service! I walked out with my purchase but a week later returned it d/t my dissatifaction with the service. I then repurchased my phone at the Hamburg store which took 15 minutes with friendly, professional salespeople. read more

Probably best to avoid this place until the employee with the beard and glasses is dismissed. I was there recently getting a new phone with another employee, when I noticed him come out of a back room or office or restroom. As he walked behind the employee I was with, I saw he had a drip near the cuff of his pants and a drop on his shoe. He went away but then reappeared showing a customer something on the wall, once again, behind the employee I was with. Yes, that was most definitely his XY chromosomes dripping down the bottom of his pants. Totally disgusting. I don't know if he had been by himself or sexually active with someone else before he came out of that back door. I'm pretty sure a big company like Verizon and its authorized service centers like this have strict "keep it zipped" policies at work. I hope that their in store cameras can see it, but then I think about the poor security personnel who have to go looking for it. Anyway, once they have fired him, it's probably safe to go here, until then, avoid it. Security personnel, please review store cameras from 10/9/17. Hard to believe that Verizon authorized retailer TCC would complain about this review. Have they dismissed the employee? Idk. Why didn't they include that information? I have a couple of work deadlines to meet today, but hey. What's the point of working remotely if you can't sneak in a Yelp post or two? After several months of internal debate, I (reluctantly) decided to commit to buying two local phone plans. My decision to go with Verizon, however, took no time at all. Here's why: I was greeted; well-informed of the company's products that fit my needs - and not those of Verizon's profit goals; objectively referred to two nearby stores for phones that had previously run out of stock at this location (additional proof of this store's performance?); and, while I sat in a cushioned high chair, I was quickly hooked-up with phone plan activation by a committed and seasoned sales associate whose focus was to make a sale but using only the right blend of professionalism, product knowledge (including snippets from the timeline of Verizon's competitors), small talk, and charisma. Negatives? The high chairs at the counter don't swivel. Anyway, thank you, Chuck. You made my re-entry into world of local mobile device use a painless pleasure (That's right, readers, I think pain can/should feel good once in a while.). read more

Don't ever come to this location. Terrible customer service, extreme unwillingness to help. Went in 30 mins before closing to consider switching services and they basically said they don't have to the time to setup new services because they were closing. We weren't no more then three steps into the store and they shouted that they were closing. Both reps were finishing up with customers and could of taken me, but refused. I was ready to switch over two lines and everything. If they work on commission, then that was a huge mistake. Regardless of the timeframe, if you have willing customers to buy, even if it takes you 5-10 mins over closing; you take them. Big mistake. Guess I'll stay with AT&T. read more

Piss poor customer service. One of our phones is a brand-new Pixel 4xl (that we paid a BUNCH of money for just two months ago). It stopped working yesterday, won't turn on, and when you try the troubleshooting steps for a hard reboot, you can't access the necessary screens to fix it. Sooo...let's replace this brand-new, defective phone, right? Wrong. Verizon stores aren't "authorized" to replace defective phones. Placed the order for a new phone 3 hours ago and was told to wait for an email confirmation to come pick up the phone. Called again an hour ago to confirm the store received the order and was getting the phone ready. It was at THAT time that they started getting the phone ready HOURS later. Waited another hour and didn't receive a confirmation that it was ready for pickup, so called again to see if it was finally ready. Was told it was ready and to come pick it up. When we arrived at the parking lot, the employee came out and told us that the system crashed right before we got there and they couldn't confirm the phone was ready to go. How convenient. Meanwhile there is literally no one else at the store. The employee told us to wait for a few minutes while they worked out the issue with IT. 10 minutes later the employee comes back out and tells us we have to cancel the order and redo the whole process, "which should only take 15-20 minutes". Verizon what is even the point of your online ordering if this is what happens. Just tell customers to go to the store in the first place!! Ridiculous. AVOID THIS STORE!!! Aside from the lousy customer service and typical upsell schemes, you are GUARANTEED to pay $70 in TOTAL FEES for EACH DEVICE you upgrade! $40 of this total is the standard fee Verizon will charge you for upgrading in a store (vs. online, which costs only $20). But this particular "authorized retailer" store tacks on another $29.99 "setup assistant" fee to cover services you may not even use, and won't be told about. The manager explained to me (when denying my request for a refund) that this extra charge is fair and standard for all their customers. But the fact is-- if you go to a legit Verizon corporate store you will not be charged this bogus extra 29.99 fee. My boyfriend and I moved apartments and we needed to get FIOS set up at our new place. We walked into this Verizon on Monday 7/22 around 6pm and were not greeted by any of the gentlemen working. All five of them were just sitting around talking and they just starred at us when we walked in till I finally greeted them and told them we needed WiFi. No other customers were around and Aaron, I believe his name was, took care of us and was definitely super friendly and easy to talk to. My boyfriend and I are both very tech savvy and we were planning on setting up the router ourselves after purchasing it. However, he told us that wouldn't be possible after looking up our new address, he would have to charge us $200 for a tech to come out and re wire our apartment. The reasoning for this, he claimed, was because the old tenants had lived there for so long and had been basically grandfathered in to an older system that was no longer available so new wiring was needed. It seemed weird to me but I don't know enough to question it so I agreed to pay it along with the price of the router. My issue came today when the tech arrived and I asked to see exactly what it was that he was scheduled to re wire and he was extremely confused and had no idea what I was talking about. He brought out a phone that showed the work order he'd been given for my address and it didn't say anywhere that new wiring was needed. It simply said he was here to set up the router-therefore charging my bill *another* $99 for a router set up fee. I'm upset not only because I'm being charged for a service I could have completed myself but also because it seems as if the "re wiring" that was so necessary to get done by a tech, was just a ploy to get us to have a tech sent to the house and set up the router so they do not lose money on that service. Maybe the man that helped us genuinely made a mistake and thought wiring was needed- but why would it not show up on the work order for the tech and why was my bill charged for something that didn't show up on the work order? All very sketchy to me. I will not be returning to this location and I will continue to insist that I set up my own router so I never have to deal with a $400 charge to my bill ever again. read more

I am very frustrated with TCC in general. I purchased in cell phone case to go with my new phone while we were traveling in our RV. The new phone is great but the cell phone case needs to be returned. We are back home and there are no TCC's close to where I live (Reno is home. The closest is 8 hours away in Las Vegas.) called were I bought it and was told returns are only done in person. So then I called the corporate office who explained that company policy states returns must be done in person. I admit I was perturbed and hung up on them. I apologize. I don't understand- if I have a receipt and the original packaging why I can't mail it to them. The credit can be processed back to the original payment method - I just don't get it! read more

Watch out for the total home solution that they put on the sign at the front door. Most people that want anything beyond home email will find the mobile hot spot lacking. And God help you if you want to make a change beyond the 14 day window. They won't even stand behind their service and let you talk to their management if you have a complaint. I went in to get my upgrade. I knew what I wanted. An iPhone 6. When I told Devin he didn't try to convince to get something else. He helped me get my plan squared away and when we found out they didn't have the phone I wanted in stock he called another store and personally picked it up that evening so I could get it the next day. He then set me up with the edge plan and bundle package. He gave me his personal recommendations on cases and screen protectors. If I didn't want something he just said ok and didn't try to push it on me. Devin was fantastic. He was professional yet friendly. Took care of all of my needs and made sure I was happy. What a rip off! My little old mom took her phone in because it went through the washing machine and they totally swindled her out of $108. The ethical thing to do would be to tell her frankly that her phone is never going to work again after a sudsy adventure with her sheets and towels. They told her they could dry her phone for $10 and if it worked it would be $100 more. The phone turned on (see it works) so she paid but when she got home realized that it was glitchy and unusable. (Of course) So she returned to get her $100 back three times! She is a little old lady. The manager is never "in" and nobody there is "authorized to give a refund" "this has never happened before". Give me a break. Drying a wet cellphone that has been through the wash seems like a scam to me. She is an old person on a limited budget so she fell for it. Give my mom her money back please this is ridiculous. - ok 4th time is a half charm. Now I have to pay 2 phone bills: ATT ETF and my new Verizon bill. Paul Antonucci has stopped responding to calls and voicemail and didn't make note of this in any official document, so Verizon won't even assist with the problem. My daughter is a student up in Buffalo I am downstate (7 hours away). She broke her leg and of course in the process broke her phone. I told her to go to a Verizon store and purchase a new one (mistake number 1). I spoke to Shanna in the store and another gentlemen in the store and told them THE ONLY THING MY DAUGHTER NEEDS IS A PHONE - DO NOT TOUCH MY PLAN. Response "No problem". My daughter (college student who does not have a clue on this process) picked out a phone gave them the credit card and walked out with a new phone. Two weeks later comes home with the receipt where they FRAUDULENTLY signed her up for a 2 year plan. She thought she was signing for the credit card receipt. Now who would give up a great unlimited plan like I have for the crappy plan they signed her up for - really? My advice to all you Buffalo consumers DO NOT LET ANYONE ON YOUR PLAN GO TO THE STORE WITHOUT YOU!!!! Mr. Hicks was useless in rectifying this situation in his OWN store obviously he allows this practice to happen in his store. I guess anything for a commission even if its to defraud the customer. I reported them to Verizon and finally having this rectified through them since Verizon was unable to reach anyone in the store to mediate this situation. THEIVES & LIARS. A family member bought a new Apple i-Phone7+ here, and was sold what was inferred to be an Apple Care plan. She was also sold a "liquid" screen protector and a protective case. Less than two weeks later she dropped the phone, which landed on the corner of the protective case, which transferred the shock into the protected screen and shattered it. At that time she learned, beyond the obvious about the screen protection and protective case, that they sold her a third party insurance policy and not an Apple Care policy. To fix the screen, she would have to send them, the insurance company, her new phone and $200, w/o her data, and in turn receive a refurb phone. Spoke to Josh Hicks, damage control person at the store, who offered no help, even going as far as to treat our presence in his store as a sales opportunity. He admonished my relative for dropping her phone, equating it, in what seems like a well rehearsed line, with buying a bike and crashing it. But she didn't buy a bike and crash it, she bought a phone, a protector and a policy to have it fixed. The main issue here was the worthless warranty, which turns out to cost more than Apple Care. The best Hicks could offer was to tell us to call a Verizon call center, which made no sense since we were standing in a Verizon store. As it turns out, this fully branded doppelganger is actually owned by a company called TCC, which speaks more to Verizon's shady operations than to TCC's deceptive sales policies. Hicks would not take back the phone, would not arrange to repair the phone, would not talk to Verizon about replacing the phone, and would not intervene with the so-called insurance company that, at the very least, his Verizon store represented as an agent. After using polite language to repeatedly insult us, when my relative's only crime was to trust his sales rep, Hicks got up from the desk and retreated to a back room, leaving us sitting there with a shattered phone and no realistic suggestion for a remedy, other than pawning us off on a call center on the other side of the world. Went to TCC/Verizon store on May 16th to reactivate my cell phone. I told the salesman(Drew) that I wanted to reactivate my current phone at which time he said I could upgrade and they had a $300 promotion if I did. I then stated that I need to check with the "Win Back Department" to ensure that I did not have a balance as I had previously spoken with them in April. He and I contacted the "Win Back Department" after numerous transfers/reps I was told I was in the clear to upgrade and I needed to pay $74 after that there was no balance due. I then agreed to upgrade and trade in my existing phone, of which I understood I would receive a $100 account credit for. We completed the transaction and I left the store. Fast forward to 11/3/2015; I have had to make numerous calls to the store since leaving there, as they created a duplicate account and I was receiving bills for two accounts(finally cleared this up on my own in October 2015 after exhaustive call/conversations with Verizon/store), the credit for the $200 that was promised for coming back over to Verizon finally posted and I still have not received the $100 credit for the trade in. According to Verizon corporate this promo was offered by the store, but was not available at the time. I have spoken with various agents in the store and at Verizon corporate and keep getting told that this is being "sent up the chain for review" or "we are submitting the forms" and nothing happens. I have tried to reach the "Regional Manager"named Josh Hicks, whom I am told is in charge of these things and have yet to hear back from him. I did speak with him the early part of October when I wold him I still had a duplicate account and I had not received the $100 credit--his reply, we have done what we needed to do there is nothing more I will do at this point. He could not provide proof that the credit was applied and directed my to Verizon who directed me back to the store. I have been misdirected by both and I as the customer are caught in the middle.
