I arrived here at 7:30 pm with the intent of getting a phone to replace the iPhone SE I had for the past three years. It was broken and I needed an immediate replacement. The guy there was busy helping someone else, so by the time he got to me was clearly motivated to close the store instead of helping to ensure my new iPhone was working properly. I had to call Verizon wireless myself since he couldn't update my device without having to try several times, and he didn't give me his full attention either- he helped another guy pay a bill while also pulling all the phones off the wall to begin store cleanup. He made it quite clear he had no intention of staying past 8pm to finish helping the customers who were there. I left the store without having my phone fully functional, and had an hour long conversation with a Verizon rep via 611 to finish setting up the activation. I was tired last night after that ordeal, so I just this morning saw my receipt from last night. I only agreed to pay the taxes on the new device. WTH is this $29.99 charge for "setup assistant"? I did not ask for it, was not informed about it, and certainly would never have authorized it! Seeing as I didn't receive the services of a setup assistant, and that it was charged without my knowledge or consent, I will be returning tonight demanding a refund of my cash payment for that junk charge. Very poor customer service. Receipt says Craig Y is the salesperson, but the guy (who never told me his name) gave me a card that said Devonne Laird store manager. I don't know who to contact about this! read more
