Came in here because the Verizon on Merle Hay in Des Moines closed at 6. My phone was being crazy and wasn't letting me access anything. I called this location and asked before driving that way if they had what I needed. This store closed later then the one on Merle Hay. ( Merle hay closed at 6 this location at 7) Cory assisted me and helped me out. Although we couldn't figure out why my phone wasn't functioning and going blank on me I updated to the new iphone14. He explained everything to detail and made me aware of the charges I'd be seeing in my account. He was patient and even offered my girls a refreshment. I went into the Verizon store today to upgrade my phone. It was one of the most fantastic customer service experiences I have ever had! I was with the representative James P. He was able to upgrade me to the new iPhone 16, along with getting me a generation 10 iPad essentially for free with a promo that was occurring. On top of that he was so kind and patient explaining that I could bundle my TV subscriptions (Hulu, Apple Music, Netflix, Disney+, Max) through Verizon at a fraction of the cost of what I was paying for each individual subscription. So not only did I get an upgrade to my phone and a free iPad, but I am saving $60/mo by him helping me transition these subscriptions! He was one happy customer! read more

We've shopped at this store for many years and have never had any issues with the service or staff. Four days ago I went in to upgrade my husband's phone because his old phone was no longer working. Jon helped me and he was very patient, kind and helpful. Once I got the new phone I discovered it was going to take four hours to update it and I have never done this before. Jon walked me thru all of the steps. I also told Jon I was receiving a lot of robo calls and he suggested I download the Verizon Call Filter app. I did just that and I haven't had any unwanted calls in four days! This store has it all! Sales pitches where they leave out monthly fees? Check! Waiting an hour the next day to return merchandise which incur said monthly fees? Check! Having to come in a third time to report that although the merchandise was returned weeks earlier, there are still three additional phone numbers on your bill? Waiting an hour to be handed the customer service phone number that you've already tried from home? Check and check! Waiting an additional 40 minutes so they can fix their own mistake? Should I go on? If the wait times are always this long, maybe schedule more employees. In an industry that is only a service, customer service is severely lacking. read more

I had a bill with them that I took care of and to this day they still have it on my credit report as not being taken care of properly I have been fighting with them for many years. Believe me I would not deal with Verizon again if you paid me a new phone every day. I'm sorry did they say verizon !!! Not by a long shot folks!!! You want a good deal I recommend you need to go to Sprint AT&T or any of the other ones they will definitely probably I'm guessing since I've dealt with the other ones a lot better than Verizon. read more

Where do I start? From the minute I walked in Jay Hanson was warm, welcoming and helpful. I needed to update my Samsung Galaxy Notebook 2 and was disappointed the Note 7 was blowing up, so clearly couldn't buy that one and Jay helped me to select the safer, s7.Very happy with my purchase and with the service. Jay was knowledgeable, not pushy and I enjoyed the experience. Was just driving through IA from NY on my way to SF and this pit stop was exactly what I needed. I wish I could give zero stars. I had an issue with my iPhone 6S and went into the Ankeny Verizon store today and unfortunately the woman that I was "greeted" with at the door was SO incredibly rude I really can't even believe it. I had previously talked to Apple about the issue I was having and he suggested I go into the Verizon store to get a new Sim card put in my phone since that has been known to fix the bug that I was having. Anyway, I told this woman why I was in there and that the Apple guy told me to try getting a new Sim card and she shook her head, rolled her eyes and said that wouldn't do anything and then another Verizon worker who actually WAS knowledgeable said that sometimes switching out Sim cards is known to fix issues, so she reluctantly switched it out. Then, when I turned the phone back on and it didn't fix the issue she said "see, I knew it wouldn't do anything". Then she basically said there was nothing she could do and had just the WORST attitude I have ever seen. I had to remind her I was up for a new phone, which seems like something she should have suggested as a resolution, but instead she said there was nothing she could do. I really wish I had gotten her name because she needs to be working in the back stocking shelves where she never talks to anyone, not out in the store dealing with customers who come in with a simple question. I will NEVER be going back to this store again, unless I can go in and find out her name so I can report her to Verizon's headquarters. read more
