I live in Phoenixville and the Verge studio there closed which was very disappointing to me.

Hummingbird Yoga And Massage

I have always been interested in the healing arts - meditation, tai chi, yoga. However, I would…read morenot be identified on any street as a "Yoga Mom". I've found most studios in the area a little too overwhelming, too full of skinny devotees who are fanatically enthusiastic and at the same time in dire need of a cookie. I lovingly think of these people as "Yoga-nuts." I found Hummingbird almost accidentally when a friend posted about their massage services. Hm, hadn't heard of this place. Oooh! They have Sunday morning meditation! Drop in! So I donned my baggy sweats, put on my most comfortable tie-dye shirt and headed down there to check it out, slightly nervous about the whole yoga-nut crowd. Hummingbird is lovely, a comfortable, serene space and Linda is as down to earth as it gets. She is not perfect, and she is one with her not perfectness, and she is happy to have you on the journey with her. Meditation with her is peaceful and enriching. I find myself looking forward to getting up on Sunday mornings for my hour of tranquility. Intimidated by the Yoga-Nut culture? Looking for a place not full of Lululemon and VitaminWater? Head to Hummingbird. Get a massage. Meditate. Practice yoga in a truly relaxed, real environment. A wonderful addition to Ardmore.

Linda, Noelle and the team are exceptional at what they do (I tend to refer to them as magicians b/c of how seamlessly they're able to alter my mind & spirit!). So many local businesses struggled to keep up with the pressure of Covid-19, but this studio has remained an essential part of my world, pivoting and adapting to the new norm with dignity and grace. This business goes far above and beyond to support and treat the local community, utilizing their studio and voices to offer far more than the business suggests. I couldn't be more grateful.

My mother spoke so glowingly about how great she felt after her session that I was inspired to try it myself. Serena is very kind, and most importantly, incredibly skilled. If you want a turn-me-into-a-puddle type of massage, she'll do it, and do an amazing job. But her real skill is structural integration, where she actually gets in between the fibers of your muscles and attachment points (as in, all 4 heads of your quadriceps muscle) and creates separation so that you feel looser over all, for longer than you would after just a traditional massage. She really wants to help address the root cause of the discomfort, not just trying to get to the discomfort itself. It sounds weird, but she gets into where it hurts, pulls on it, and then it feels better. She's all around an amazing practitioner. I love going because I always feel so much better when I'm finished. I cannot recommend her highly enough. I'd drive 2 hours to see her, but thankfully, she's very conveniently located close to my house.

She knows exactly what my body needs and how to deliver it. I feel like a million dollars when she's through with me. Not only is she a talented masseuse she's an extremely nice woman.
