Venus travel and John Conenna are ready to make your dream vacation possible. He goes the extra mile to make his customers happy. Working on a limited budget he was able to build a trip of a life time for my son and I. From the minute we stepped off the plane we were met by our private driver. John actually called the driver while we were in the car to make sure everything was alright and told to call should anything arise. I actually think this man works 24 hours a day. I would definitely recommend he. read more

I can't say enough about John. One of my wife's co-workers referred us to John after John planned his trip to Italy. We had already planned 2 cruises for Italy and Greece. John worked on our airfare, hotels in Athens and Rome as well as tours in Athens and Rome and Italy transportation. The hotels in Athens were both fairly small "boutique" hotels. The pre-cruise hotel had stunning water views from our room and the 3rd floor restaurant. The tween cruises hotel in Athens had a rooftop restaurant that overlooked the Acropolis. The staff at both hotels were incredibly accommodating for all our needs. Heading to Rome for 4 nights pre-cruise John set us up with private transportation to the hotel and to the cruise port. Perfect. The Mascagni - wow - it didn't hurt that the hotel upgraded our room. Again. Wow. Such wonderful staff. As an aside - John confirmed each and every hotel, tour, car and flight with the companies the day before we got there. And that ends all of John's plans for us....or it should have. The last 2 nights after the Italy cruise we relied on my brother-in-law to book an Air B & B for the 6 of us. BTW - welcome to Venice - the city with no cars and the canal bridges all have stairs. So they booked a 3 story walkup. So...who comes through and finds us a porter and private water taxi for our 9am flight by talking to the Air B & B owner (in Italian) and making the arrangements that saved our butts? No it wasn't Superman. It was John C. John - from the bottom of my heart - thank you for the memories. read more

I'm so happy that my friend recommended John from Venus Travel to plan and arrange my trip to Italy. John was informative, answered so many questions, and arranged the perfect trip. We wanted to travel by train through Italy, and John made all the necessary arrangements and provided us with excellent guidance on our itinerary. One of our flights had a time change, and John texted and called to alert us ahead of time, which I really appreciated. Knowing we had John taking care of us made our trip stress-free! read more

We booked our first trip to Italy with John . This guy is amazing. He was with us every step of the way. While we were traveling he checked to make sure that our transfers were there to pick us up at our destinations, always letting us know via text no matter what time of the day it was (even when it was in the middle of the night for him). We are truly grateful for all he has done for us in making our first trip to Europe a memorable one. Very knowledgeable and professional. We highly recommend Venus Travel for your future travels. His customer service is top notch. Definitely be using Venus travel again. Thanks again John read more

John Conenna helped us plan a trip to Amalfi, Florence & Rome along with my out-of-state sister and brother-in-law. He arranged air fare, transfers from and to the airport, train tickets and excursions. He checked in via text the night before each train trip, each excursion and even our last transfer to the airport. The pouch he gives you to take with you on your trip has your itinerary details organized and it made everything so seamless. He advised on hotels, tours and how to spread them out for the duration. Our first flight was canceled weeks before our trip but not my sister's flight. Rescheduling for the date we wanted and to keep plans with my sister required changing the order of our plans. We could have never rearranged all that ourselves! John does it all and he virtually stays with you til the end of the trip. Thank you Venus Travel! His business card says "I got a guy!" We got one, too, and his name is John! read more

Awful service, zero knowledge, scheduled on his preference and rescheduled the last minute. Gets flirtatious and if you don't reciprocate, gets mad and refuses to help. My eardrums still hurt from his yelling. The office smells like it has bedbugs. read more

John and Connie were incredibly helpful and patient with me planning a recent trip. I was on a pretty tight budget but still wanted to do something special and they offered multiple options at different price points. Always got back to me whenever I contacted them with questions or concerns. Very friendly and professional. read more

Venus Travel is the reason people should go to a travel agency and not the internet to organize a small or a major trip. John understands the needs of his customers. He is an attentive listener, and patient and I never got the sense that I was bothering or annoying him with my questions. He was very helpful. Its clear when you deal with him that its more than making money, John is a professional and he cares about customer satisfaction. My next trip will definitely be arranged with Venus Travel. read more

John at Venus Travel helped plan a vacation for our family of four to Italy. We won't be using his services again. During our planning meeting, John spent more time on the phone with other customers than listening to our requests. As a result, instead of ending up in a family suite in Rome, my wife and I spent the first two nights of our trip sleeping on a small and uncomfortable pull out couch while our teenage son and daughter shared a queen size bed in our exceedingly small room. Upon returning to our hotel the second night, we were greeted with a message from the company he booked for our tour of the Colosseum the following morning notifying us that our visit had been canceled. Since we were scheduled to catch a train the next afternoon, we were unable to reschedule. We also asked that John book a private driver for a trip along the Amalfi coast. Imagine our surprise when instead of a car, a tour bus filled with 25 other passengers pulled up in front of our hotel. So much for our stated desire to be able to ask the driver to stop so we could take in a vista or pick out an interesting restaurant for lunch. We contacted John with the issues we confronted and, to his credit, he attempted to make things right. I will also acknowledge that the transfers and Vatican and Capri tours he booked for us were everything we expected. That said, for what we paid for the trip, I am confident we could have done as well ourselves at a fraction of the cost. read more

Fabulous service!!! We booked a trip to Italy (my favorite place on earth) and everything was smooth as could be. We travel a lot - and will be using them again! Thanks so much!! read more

Working with John at Venus Travel was wonderful; I would never go to another agent or agency! My fiancé and I thought we had found a deal online for airline tickets for our vacation to Italy (despite a 22-hour layover). With 10 minutes of giving John this information, he got on the phone and saved us over $500.00 on our tickets, got us better seats AND a 1-hour layover. He also arranged a transportation service to pick us up and drop us off from and to the airport. John was very attentive and flexible while working with us to plan this trip, and he was always available whenever we had a question or a request. Currently, we are planning our destination wedding through John at Venus Travel and we couldn't be happier with his dedication, even making 5 A.M. calls to our wedding coordinator abroad! Would happily recommend Venus Travel to anyone. read more

I was looking online for tickets to Italy and a friend of mine told me about Venus. My parents have gone there many years ago and I completely forgot. I called John with in a few minutes we had tickets to Italy. I can't say enough good things about John . His price was cheaper then online plus traveling with children he made sure we had connecting flights no waiting 16hrs or layovers and to my surprise I thought that I had to pay extra for seating or when you go to the airport and hope for the best that we sit together on the plane . Instead that was all taken care of . Plus he offered to come over and drop the flight information to my house. I will never book anything online going forward. I don't know why anyone would knowing this . Thank you John I look forward to do business with you in the future . Grazie!!!! read more

I've used Venus Travel for the past 3 times I've gone to Mexico and each experience has been great. Most recently they helped us book a New Years trip for 10 people with various travel dates just three months out from our vacation. They provided us with multiple options and found great prices that we would never have been able to find on our own. Booking was quick, easy and every detail was covered off on. I'd recommend using Venus to anyone who's looking for a simple, comprehensive and personal experience. read more

The only other review on here was written by the owner. I've worked with Venus for 2 trips. The first trip was great; we went to Europe and John put together everything beautifully, and there was no hassle on our end. Our hotels were fairly cheap considering their location (we were always in the main part of the cities). It was overall a great experience. The second time we worked with Venus was a much different story. John was very unresponsive to phone calls and emails. He told me multiple times that he was going to call me or email me with packages, but I never heard back from him. I had to go to a different agent because John wasted so much of my time. read more

John was the best travel agent I have ever dealt with. My family and I travel all the time and he suggested the perfect place for all of us to go. He took care of all of the accommodations including the flight, transportation to and from the airport, and the all inclusive hotel. We all received suites (including rooms with our own personal swim up pools) and my room was upgraded to an even bigger suite when they didn't have enough of those rooms available. The morning of the flight he called us at 5am to ensure we were at the airport safely and checked in to make sure we didn't have any problems. I have never encountered a more thorough travel agent, who truly cared about our experience. It is very difficult to plan a trip for 9 people and he made it look so easy. We had no problems or hiccups and had the time of our lives. I would recommend him to anyone I know. Thank you again John, I can't wait until our next trip!!!! read more

Venus Travel is everything that you look for when you are traveling. I have been using Venus, as well all my family and friends, for years now for all of my traveling needs. The owner John is truly invested to his customers and does everything he can to ensure that everything goes smoothly. Just recently I expressed interest in traveling out of the country and John kept tabs on ticket prices and stayed in contact until I was ready to purchase. In the past when I had issues with flights getting cancelled or delayed, John was on it. While everyone was waiting in the dreaded airport customer service line, John had me on the next flight. Traveling could be a stressful experience, but knowing that I could always call John for any issues puts me at ease. Not only are the services provided excellent but also the Venus team is super friendly and welcoming. read more

We have traveled many times through John Conenna at Venus travel. Every trip has been treated as if he was our personal concierge. His detail in making all the air, hotel and car reservations have always been spot on and stress free. When we went to Italy for the first time he would text me to make sure we were always on schedule for our next tour. Venus Travel is truly a place that makes you feel like a special client unlike booking on the internet which always keeps you wondering if you are going to get what you think you are supposed to get and then who do you call when its not.
