BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!! If I could pick zero stars I would. Someone at work referred them and I…read morethought why not let someone else do the leg work on my trip while I sit back and not stress over it....it turned out to be quite the opposite! This agency is incompetent to say the least! I could have done better if I had booked it myself and had way less stress!! They do not return calls or emails. They changed my original agent to another because the first was "too busy" to reply. This is a $10k trip with a 2 bedroom suite on a cruise and they couldn't be bothered to follow up or give me reminders of upcoming payment dates. Instead they called me the day before the balance was due and said we need it now. I had to email several times to get airfare booked as prices were just going higher and higher, that took a month for them to book! Finally after being fed up, I got thru to them this morning and asked them to release my reservations so I could make changes it to it myself as it would be faster. My dog sitter fell thru so I needed to change the flight day out to LA, it cost me $200 with the airlines to do so because they did not release my reservations. They told me thats not their problem it's an airline rule. I am still currently working with the cruise line to take them off my reservations as well. I had to hang up the phone as Mike was literally yelling at me into the phone. I could go on and on with the horrible details but bottom line....they are rude, incompetent, ignorant to their clients needs and basically think they are doing you a favor by taking on your travel needs. Please do not use this agency!

We had one meeting with a travel agent at Diplomat, and he told us to email him once we looked at…read morethe brochures he'd given us and finalized where we wanted to go and for how long. I emailed him our rough outline, and he said he'd get back to me the next day with a more final outline. The following week after not hearing back from him, I emailed him again to touch base. Did not hear back. I emailed and called him a week later, and received no call back or email. I then waited a few more weeks and called the office one more time. The receptionist told me that he told her he was busy helping a client adjust their flights due to bad weather, and would call me back later. Never heard from him again.

    B&C Costa Rica Adventures

I just returned from a family vacation to Costa Rica booked by B&C…read more I sold our boat and called B&C and said, "the kids are getting older and I want to take one more awesome vacation before they are off to college. Please put something together for me." The five of us left on a Saturday morning and arrived Saturday night at the Blue River Resort. B&C arranged the transport from the airport. This is one spectacular place. We loved it. It is at the base of a volcano, has five hotspring pools, cool butterfly garden and is in the heart of Costa Rica country. We went Zip Lining as a family. Two of my kids joined me on a 7 hour round trip hike up Rincon de la Vieja volcano which was a vicious climb but the payoff was awesome at the top. The trek down led us to a waterfall and a natural pool... just what you'd picture paradise to be. Over half of the hike was through the rainforest which was amazing. We saw a toucan and monkeys. They also had a really nice spa and restaurant where we ate all of our meals. The people at the resort were over the top helpful. This was real Costa Rica. We saw all the housing, the farms, the schools, everything. We loved it. There are only 20 rooms and at times we seemed to have the entire resort to ourselves. On Tuesday we were transported (again set up by B&C) to the Flamingo Beach resort. About a 2-1/2 hour trip. Flamingo is a top notch beach resort. Very classy, awesome pool right next to the ocean. So you can hit the surf or the pool and we did alot of both. Personally I spent alot of time bellied up to the swim up bar as well. We got the all-inclusive and I would highly recommend it. The people who didn't were spending alot of money. I just kept ordering! There is a really good restaurant there and since we got all-inclusive we ate all of our meals there and were real happy. There are other restaurants around but we didn't bother. We also took a day and took a 15 minute cab ride to a little surf town called Tamarindo. That's where you can find a ton of shops for souveniers. We went over spring break, last week of March. It was 98 degrees every day and got down to 50 at night. It was not humid. And I was shocked that we never really came across bugs. Not even in the rainforest. The heat didn't bother us at all, we loved it and plenty of water to cool off in. At Flamingo we had one hiccup with the billing and we called Charles at B&C and he took care of the whole thing. It was really great having them to work with and they took care of everything from start to finish. We booked our own flights and shopped it hard. There are only two things I would have changed on this trip. 1) We took 3 flights there and 3 home to save money. In retrospect I would have spent a little extra and done two flights each way. I didn't mind it so much but the family was pretty spent. (2) We would have stayed one more day at Blue River and one less day at Flamingo. Simply because Blue River was amazing and the real Costa Rica experience. I would and am recommending B&C book a trip for you and for all of my friends, family, etc. You will not be disappointed - especially if you just duplicate the trip we made.

SHADY. SCAM…read more Booked/paid for/confirmed a reasonable 2bd/2ba with gym, hot tub downtown Chicago unit (on South Water Street) January 25, 2016 with Flatbook. Booked early as I knew this was a High Demand weekend (NFL draft). Got note from NTS (had no clue who this was) on 3/16/16 that I did not have a booking/ sorry Flatbook overbooked the unit that is not theirs to manage and they cannot honor my reservation. WTF?? Flatbook initially tried to point finger elsewhere. Sorry, but I signed with you....any issues you have with others -- between you and them, not me. Flatbook offered a unit 25 minutes away on public transit, with no gym or hot tub as their "comparable" accommodation. No other consideration/compensation. Just got "sorry/we made a mistake/don't have anything else". They would be 'happy' to refund my money (yeah, and if I say sure, then they can say "I" requested a refund!). Thus, I'm left trying to find like accommodations at much higher prices.....and Flatbook is just shrugging shoulders... SUSPECT THAT THE REAL REASON is that Flatbook did not realize early enough this is a very busy weekend--when they did, dumped me to take a higher paying rental....OR is it that the unit they sold me is not/was not ever theirs to rent?? Also charming was the comment made to me "well, you are not the only one this happened to". I'm supposed to feel better about that?? Judging by comments made on social media, I am not the only one that this has happened to in Chicago. And as I discovered and questioned, the pictures they post are not necessarily from unit you are renting. Happened to notice that the same exact pictures were used on four different postings that they had on HomeAway in Chicago. Think long and hard before dealing with this outfit, especially if you try to book during high demand period. What a scam and shameful practice.

Careful, everyone! I just got an email that Flatbook is now known as Sonder. I can't help but…read morebelieve, from my abysmal experience, that they may have opted to dump the Flatbook name after building a less than stellar rep by bait-and-switching people. Flatbook/Sonder was easily the most stressful, worst part of my wedding experience. Thanks for the memories, Flatbook/Sonder!
