Went here today for an early movie at this reduced price theater and we had the theater to ourselves for $9 total, plus $27 for three large sodas ($1 refills) and a large popcorn. The staff were polite and professional and the facilty was clean. It is an older theater, so it is not stadium seating but the old theater seating with padded seats in a row. Facility is older and shows some signs of wear. We were able to see a movie that had just been released after it did not do well at the main theaters. You can go to their website and see what is playing for the coming week, they usually have 5-6 different options and at least one or two is a kids movie. This place drives me crazy. On one hand I'm glad that we have a discount theater however they make a killing with the prices of their popcorn and drink. I cannot speak more highly of this place. I am here at least once every 2 weeks and always choose here over other theaters (unless they're not showing a specific movie). Hands down the best budget theater I've gone to. For a budget theater, they have fairly new movies, often overlapping the run at chain theaters. I personally prefer the popcorn here (without even considering the huge price difference). I love coming here for $2-$3 movies as a student looking for a fun evening that doesn't rob me blind. It is always well staffed (very friendly) and cleaned sufficiently. On several occasions, my husband and I have been the only ones in the theater, which is so nice considering how busy theaters can get. Highly recommend! read more

Definitely worth the wait for the movies that recently were in theaters to play at here. It is so rare nowadays to get a ticket for less than $10, but this place has them for $2-3. Even the popcorn, snacks, and drinks are way cheaper here! The only other movie theater in town is about the same quality with service, atmosphere, and cleanliness so might as well spend your money here instead. Seems like a nice place however the employees are rude and don't seem to know how to do their job, Greeted with what do you want Movie was passed 20 mins started 5 seconds after walked to the movie door and getting a seat my friend left to go get a drink and they closed the lobby then refused to open it back up not even a whole minute after we bought out tickets ( we didn't get the drink while getting the tickets bc we wanted to go ahead and get a seat because we didn't know the movie had already started and wanted to get good seats. Then when I asked for a refund bc at this point I was just fed up with the service I was then informed that's just not how it works while the other employee was giving me a nasty look. How dare they can behavior like that to people who are sick and has health issues. Just today I was buying the tickets and the lady told me not to take my water inside. I told her that I've medication in my water but she was against. In spite of offering me to transfer in a glass (previously offered by their stuff) she was keeping refuse me to have it. I told her that I'm a Cancer patient and need this medicine in case of sudden nausea but she kept ignoring. She said she will call police. I said I'll myself. So police came and wrote me a note that I'm not allowed to visit this Movie theatre anymore. And that Lady is an owner and has a right to be rude. And I have to sign the papers so they can leave. I start crying. I was not rude. She was rude. She could offer me a different cup (they allow to give free cups for water) but she was against. Now I'd like to talk to real owners. The prices are great. The smell... you get used to. The seating was comfortable. My aggravation with them comes because I was watching a movie and listening to the score during the credits - a fantastic cinematic score - and in the middle, they just cut it off. I always watch movies to the end of the credits. Partly to give my respect to the people who made it and partly to listen to music. For me, it's part of the movie experience. In any case, I believe since I paid for the movie, I also paid for the pleasure of listening to the score. Apparently not. Not sure if I'll ever go back. Best theatre prices and movies tend to come here pretty quickly after their debut. We've stopped going to the outrageously priced theatre across town and just wait for the movies we want to see to come here. Popcorn is fresh and the staff is friendly. You can't beat $2 Tuesdays! Took my daughter to a movie this weekend. The theater and restrooms were very clean & a great price. We got popcorn & 2 drinks and it was slightly less expensive than the regal cinemas. Wish the seats were more comfortable but for that price I really cant complain! I am looking forward to more kid friendly movies as they become available & now inexpensive movie date nights. read more

Due to reviews, I wasn't sure how this place was. I visited the first time today and found the staff very nice. The small theatre that I was in - had maybe 10 rows of seats. It was very comfortable seating, nice cushioned chairs with cup holders on each side. It was minimally dated (I have been in older theatres and a few newer ones). Overall it was pretty clean. The main lobby had shiny floors and pretty spotless overall. Bathrooms were not bad either. I was pleased to find that my $2 movie, small popcorn and water came to only $10. For the same deal at most other places, I can spend twice that or more. I was happy with my visit and I will probably return if I am in Lynchburg. read more

This place, although offering discounted movie prices, more than makes up for it with food prices. One 20 oz is $3.75! They filled that they are doing everybody a favor by offering discount prices on movies but that's not true because if you want eat you are screwed. My recommendation is to see the movie on Redbox, because movies have gone on video anyway. The tickets are cheap and the seats comfy, but the staff are awful! They act like you're an intrusion if you order food and if you have a question, forget about a polite response. One older woman is especially rude. She also stood right outside the front door smoking so when you leave you have to walk through a cloud of noxious smoke. Awesome place. Cheap movies, good seats, and a lot cleaner than the old budget theater that was in town. They also play old classic movies which is a really cool opportunity to see some of your favorite movies on the big screen. Staff is nice and it is a good atmosphere. It's so well priced that you can go multiple times a week without breaking your budget. Some ridiculous people wrote some awful review. It's pretty crazy to demand perfection from a theater that is only charging you $2. Sometimes people have bad experiences and feel the need to tell people but some of these reviews are unwarranted and ridiculous. You can't beat the prices here!! $2 a head for adults. Matinee. $3 a head for 5pm & later. Good fresh popcorn. The prices are decent there. It isn't Regal Theater but it isn't $12 or more a head either. It's an older theater, could be a lil cleaner, but overall if you wait a minute you can see new releases for a bargain. read more
