I have only positive things to say about this company. Here's how my experience went:- 1. Called the company on Thursday and left a message 2. Get a call back the same day from the owner Darrell and he arranges to come by that day to take a look for me and quote. 3. Darrell comes by and is polite and professional Quote given - great price !!!! 4. Monday morning the guys show up to work. They are friendly and get to work fast! 5. Tuesday the guys show up for work and by 9pm that night I'm walking on a new, beautiful deck. Can I say WOW! Thank you for transforming our deck. I so appreciate the friendliness in addition to the efficiency - hard to come by and such a pleasure to experience. read more

High quality work. Professional, courteous and respectful of the property. Put down drop cloths on the carpeted surfaces they traversed to access the deck. Cleaned the job site thoroughly at the end of each work day. These guys know what they are doing and they do it fast and well. If you live in the Ventura area, there is no better option. read more

Amazing company to work with. Darrell showed up immediately with an affordable estimate and started work just a few days later. His team was professional, clean, friendly, efficient, thorough and really paid attention to the fine details. Follow up calls were made to ensure we were completely satisfied with the work. I highly recommend this business for any patio or deck needs you may have. Thank you Ventura Deck! read more

Ventura Deck Coatings - Finished deck. - Waterproofing Near Me - Ventura, California

Darrell and his great crew resurfaced several exterior staircases for my condo's HOA. I am so pleased with the outcome. Our original builder used light weight concrete when constructing the buildings which did not hold up appropriately as it's a cheaper material. The rain water also pooled too much as the pitch of the stairs wasn't adequate. Darrell recommended a "Tuff Flex" solution with a sand grit to mitigate slipping. I am very happy with the product selection and several neighbors have commented that the rain water collects much, much less. The Tuff Flex seems to repel the water similar to RainX on a windshield. Darrell was very flexible with scheduling and I commend him for dealing with all the neighbors on an individual basis. His pricing and payment arrangements were very fair. I'm very happy that we selected his company for this job and would recommend him. Thank you again! read more

If you want to see how great Darrell's work is first hand, feel free to stop by and see for yourself. I'm the manager and part owner of the 3 story Troop Real Estate building you can see on the North side of the 101 freeway at Lewis road. We have about 2000 square feet of decking on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the building. Darrell and the staff at Ventura Deck Coatings coated and resurfaced all of them. I'd never met Darrell before requesting a bid on the job (This isn't a family member or an old friend writing a five star review). Without boring you with too many details, every interaction was pleasant, productive, informative, and professional. He came in with the lowest bid for the same service as the other vendors I received estimates from. He started the work quickly, worked without disrupting the tenants, updated me often and stuck to his estimated schedule exactly. He even repaired some of the doorway thresholds and railings. The tenants, other owners, and myself could not be more satisfied with the finished result. Darrell would send picture updates as the job was being done. I've attached a few because the finished result, although looking absolutely amazing, does not show all the layers of coating and hard work hidden underneath. I will definitely use Ventura Deck Coatings again at other properties. I probably won't need them in Camarillo again for a long time because they did such an amazing job. read more

Found this company via Yelp and some real estate agent recommendations after buying a new home that required resurfacing of multiple decks. Darrell came quickly to give a quote and got the work completed quickly as well. He is a man of his word and he showed up as promised and did a fantastic job. Although I don't have photos to post, the work was beautiful and sometimes I just stare at the decks and admire how nice they look now. Honest, clean, efficient, quality work and nice, all the things I look for in a contractor. It was a pleasure doing business with this company and, not only do I highly recommend them, I will use them to keep my decks looking fresh and waterproofed! Thank you Darrell and team. read more

Our deck covering was outdoor carpet, it was old and stained. After stripping off the worn carpet we called several deck coating companies for estimates. From the beginning Darrell was professional and provided a comprehensive assessment of how his company would cover the deck, along with an estimate. He was able to start the job right away, and was finished in one day. We had our choice of colors- we went with the lighter Stone Gray which matched the house color. The water damage was effectively covered, and we now have a beautiful and well executed epoxy deck cover. Quality surpassed our expectations. The installation was perfectly level with good drainage pitch, and the perimeters sealed water tight. The deck is water proof, so no worries about damage to the wood underneath. Partner Eduardo was fast, meticulous, and friendly. We are super happy with our deck from Ventura deck coatings, and glad we went with this plan instead of carpet, or outdoor decking or tile which would have cost more. Thanks Darrell and Eduardo! read more

Ventura Deck Coatings did an outstanding job on my garage. They exceeded my expectations...it's just perfect. I'm telling everyone i know because i'm really impressed with their work. The job was done fast yet they pay attention to every little details. Thank you so much guys!!!! read more

Nic job by Darrell and his crew. Scheduled very quickly and completed the project the next week. Very responsive , friendly and they do a high quality job. I'd recommend them to anybody. This job was a roof top deck near the beach. The beach salt environment caused the deterioration of the last deck very quickly. From what I see, the Polycoat system they used is going to last for years. The last coat takes a day to dry so I'll try to update with pictures later. read more

I can't say enough about ventura deck coating. We had pooling on our deck and Ed worked with his crew to fix the problem. He was very professional and strategic that only comes from year of experience. It's great to have peace mind in a job well done. Thank you Ed and Darrell! read more

Ventura Deck Coatings just completed a major deck repair and resurfacing on a multilevel beach house I own in Ventura. Throughout the process their crew was courteous, hard-working and clean, and the job turned out flawless. Darryl, one of the owners, was great at keeping me up to date on the process, and his excellent customer service made the project much easier on me. I would definitely use these guys again. read more

I just can't say enough great things about Darrell. He gave me a quote to resurface two 2nd story catwalks at my 16-unit apartment building in Oxnard, and first off the quote was reasonable and totally fair--not too cheap, nor too expensive, but right in line with what I was expecting. And the final cost was exactly what he estimated--not a penny more. He told me how many days it would take to resurface the decks (three), and that's exactly how long it took. Moreover, he worked with my tenants to ensure minimal disruption to their lives as he resurfaced the decks. But the best part of all: the final product was simply gorgeous...the new decks are beautiful. I own numerous apartment buildings throughout the state of California and I can honestly say this guy is on the best vendors I have worked with--total straight shooter, extremely skilled at what he does, and a very nice gentleman to boot. read more

Darrell of Ventura Deck Coatings is the best, he is prompt and his crew is clean and did a very thorough job. He answered the phone, give both verbal and email code, sent picture update on job progress. He replaced wood that needed to replaced within the quoted price. Ask us multiple times if we are happy with the job! What a stress free transaction! Although my decking is small less than 100 ft but I am confident he will do the same for your home. read more
