The staff here is amazing to say the least. They were friendly and very thorough. The marketing staff, Amy, was super at explaining all the details and made sure we were aware of any and all the in's and out's. The Nurse was incredible and so kind. We couldn't walk the halls at our visit with out the nurses and staff stopping to introduce themselves to my mom and welcome her. Everyone treated her with respect and made sure she was comfortable. I will post again at 6 months and see how things are but I am very impressed with this place. read more

If I could give a less rating I would. My mom has lived here for many years. The care is borderline neglect. She has a skin condition that requires medication and daily showers. They refuse to shower her daily she is a fall risk they told her to take her own showers. Here is her skin today I'm sorry for the graphic pics but I hVe made complaints to adult services etc as well. This is why we should never have our parent suffer in this manner. AssistedLiving - This use to be a decent place but lately it is awful. They never tell resident what medicine they are giving to them, have brought her the wrong medicine and most recently, they have brought her her morning meds twice in the morning - she would of overdosed had she not refused to take them again. They do not offer any recreational activities unless you count senior work outs they put on a tv utilizing you tube. No beauty salon, no transportation/outings. No snacks or vending machine. You have to eat all your food including your dessert in the dining room. If you are full and want to take you dessert with you, you are told no you are not allowed. There was on day my mom was sick and asked for her food to be delivered and nobody brought her food for the entire day. I had to door dash food to her. There is no assistance in this assisted living facility. They have a new director and was hoping things would improve but they have actually gotten worse. Very sad. read more

My great grandma is in her last days of life and there was a recent complaint about our family being here for her. We have not at all been loud or rude in any way at all. You guys have cared for my grandma to the best of my knowledge in a good and caring manner. You have treat my visiting family very well but today there was a staff member giving us dirty looks while giving a tour to someone. So all I have to say to that person is if it was you in our place you'd understand. Do not complain about my family for being there for my grandmother. read more

The facility shows well and is fairly well maintained. We had a few issues with memory care. Services were not being completed by staff. Doctor changed her medication and she acted out, and was sent to the hospital. Was calm on arrival and discharged back to the facility. Except no one would answer the phone. A social worker could not get anyone to answer the doors that night. Hospital staff called to tell our family she was discharged. And to look for new placement in a hurry. No contact by administration. It was not legal to dump a client. The system failed my family member. Always check out your resident rights. read more

My parents have been residents since 2011. While any service can change, overall the staff and treatment they have received has been wonderful. Any time there has been any question of any issue, the front desk has been able to address the issue and clear it up. Lets face it... no one is perfect but this facility does address issues and takes accountability for the staff's actions. They treat everyone as family. read more

My relative did not get the services that were paid for. There were simple but imperative tasks that were not performed when they should have been. On occasions we had to ask that someone perform the task. Please do not call adults good/bad "boy" or "girl." These are adults who led productive, and in the case of veterans, heroic lives. They are not children. Also, please do not call patients or visitors "troublemakers." These references are demeaning. I am glad my relative is no longer there. read more

From the moment we walked in to look at a place for my dad we were impressed. Instead of people preparing for last moments, the residents were smiling. Whether in the main lobby, hallways, or dining hall they all seemed relaxed and happy. The marketing staff staff starting with Heather and the director Susan all laid out everything regarding helping my father get settled in. Meeting the head nurse Kayla was awesome as well. She doesn't see residents as a number, but people with real needs. I can reach out to her at any hour of the day(which I don't do) and she will respond. Without her help and the staff, dealing with my dad's transition from another place that was less than acceptable has been made easier. I would definitely recommend them for review. I have read other reviews here and I think though valid in points, our experience has been great up until speaking to the billing lady. My father was recently approved for health coverage benefits through the state and I had a question regarding his invoice. I felt the description was stupid and mentioned that to which the billing person at the Ventana Winds billing office took exception saying it was not stupid. She was not willing to explain other than what I saw or help me understand further, this is the reason I am editing my review so people are aware. read more

Mom lived there for nine years. Started in an apartment in assisted living and ended up in memory care at the last from which they evicted her because she became combative. She had a nice large room in memory care but they came up with some excuse to move her in to a tiny room so they could give her nice room to someone else. Don't know why...they don't keep the place clean enough to suit me. And several times I found meds that mom hadn't taken just laying around her room. Instead of making sure she took them, they just left them for her to take. Meals don't look appetizing..they serve nice meals for assisted living in the big dining room. But in memory care, they serve slop in an unappetizing manner. So many things I would have liked to have been nicer but weren't. After moms eviction, she was moved to two other places before she passed away. They were even worse than Ventana Winds...it's all very sad... read more

Beautiful Community! I have a loved one who lives in this community and they absolutely love it. Lots to do, tons of activities and outings to join in on. The apartments are extremely spacious and the staff is wonderful. I would definitely recommend this community to anyone looking for their loved one. Thank you for taking care of my nana. read more

I wish I knew who wrote those comments. It's all exactly true and it's putting it mildly . Awful lazy uneducated staff. Although the simple tasks took all of five minutes they refused to do it. Or they passed the buck or you had to kiss A-- to get it done. Further more do it yourself.. The place did nothing. What a farce of a company. I can't stress enough the sadness of the residence having to go through this and the family's .Do not expect change when all above management does nothing to turn it around. What a mess. I can't stress enough what a struggle it was there . It appears to all be fine the first month when all these convincing smiles come your way . There will be no choice but to move out so don't even move in. There will be no medical attention and emergency buttons will not be answered . They will hire anyone off the street that's willing to work for a penny. How can those people treat those seniors so poor. They deserve everything that's said to be offered. Do your home work read reviews. I'm sorry for everyone who suffered pain as well as we did. God bless for some honesty and respect in these places. read more
