My Dad spent 5 days here at the skilled facility for respite. He did not enjoy the experience,…read morehowever I can understand that and want to give a fair review. My biggest issue, NO ONE and I do mean NEVER EVER does the skilled facility actually answer the phone, so there is no way to call and check in on your loved one if they aren't capable of answering/ calling you. Second biggest issue was medications, I was not told to bring the meds from home (I place that error on the hospice) but after he was there they requested the meds, so I drove there after work with the meds. The nurse on only took 2 or 3 stating they received the rest delivered from the pharmacy. I good, right? Wrong. The night shift nurse in day 3 calls me (Bless her) and says, hey did you know we only have some of his meds? I drive over and bring his meds again. When they sent him home, didn't send all the meds home, lol had to drive over to pick up and 2 of the med bottles were lost forever. At this point i want to mention it's a 45 min drive from my home one way, blah. He did have a fall at the facility, while using the restroom alone. No real injuries and they did notify me (The nurse used her personal cell so she did answer when I returned that call)! Facility was clean and the room spacious, but the respite stay was not restful for me.

I fully expect my kids to take care of me until I pass, should I be lucky enough to live that long…read more Realistically, they probably won't. So if I had to retire in Sun City, the premier senior community where it's not uncommon to see the elderly cruising around in their pimped out golf carts, I'd pick this place. Chefs that received proper culinary training, filet mignon once a month, special menus on holidays, room service--you can't go wrong.

I WOULD NOT recommend The Form at Desert Harbor to anyone considering it for themselves or a loved…read moreone. I wish I could give ZERO STARS. Since the community was purchased by a corporation, the atmosphere has changed dramatically. Residents have been pressured to either pay a large buy-in fee or face significant rent increases, leaving many feeling like they have little choice. Instead of focusing on the well-being of seniors, the emphasis now seems to be on generating more revenue. Services have also declined. Apartment cleaning, which residents relied upon, has been discontinued (they won't admit to that), while many of the activities that once brought the community together have been replaced with fundraising events. It feels as though residents are constantly being asked to spend more money rather than enjoying the amenities they were promised. Another concerning practice is the frequent serving of wine at community events. While there is nothing inherently wrong with offering alcohol occasionally, making it a regular feature in a retirement community where some residents may have some cognitive concerns, recovering alcoholics, or take medications that interact with alcohol seems irresponsible. The staff has also become increasingly unfriendly. The site manager, in particular, has shown very little empathy or compassion when addressing resident concerns and seems to find joy in being vile. Instead of feeling heard and respected, residents are often made to feel like they are an inconvenience. A retirement community should provide safety, dignity, compassion, and peace of mind. Unfortunately, this community has become more focused on corporate profits than on the people who call it home. I hope management takes resident concerns seriously and remembers that seniors deserve respect, honesty, and quality care--not pressure and indifference.

After much searching, we found the park at surprise. From the moment we pulled up, it already felt right. When we walked in, we were so amazed at how wonderful this place is. All of the employees and all of the residents are unbelievably super nice! After touring the full facility, my wife and I were sold. So many wonderful amenities, so beautifully decorated! My wife and I both know that if we looked hard enough, we could possibly find a place as nice as the park at surprise, but we knew we wouldn't find a place that was nicer. We figured, why continue to search, this Place is not only wonderful, but it is a wise decision for my wife's dad. We shared our hearts with dad, and he trusted our decision. Today, for the first time, he walked the facility and absolutely loved it. In his own words, he gave it an A+ rating. We highly recommend the park at surprise.

We needed around the clock team to take care of all their needs. We had Visiting Angels come to their home. They were great however the responsibility of all their medical appointments, meals, medication management, housekeeping, daily care maintenance, etc. were all on my shoulders. Lots of stress and lack of sleep due to taking care of both. Then I contacted Integrity Memory Care. Upon entering this group home, I immediately knew that this was the place for mom and dad. Svetlana's (owner) attention to all the details is impeccable. It has a homey feel and the beautiful home and surroundings is topped off with a high standard of care. All of the caregivers have been compassionate, loving and caring to both of my parents' needs. The home itself is new, clean and beautifully designed. There is a large patio and backyard with mini golf. All the meals are home cooked and they pay attention to dietary needs. There are certified caregivers on site 24/7. This home accommodates up to 6 residents so it provides tailored attention to each resident. No one is lost in the shuffle like that of a larger facility. I hope this review helps any one who is faced with a difficult decision of where your love one can reside. My original goal was to have them move in with me however after observing all the love and care they receive now through this group home, I would have done my parents and myself a disservice. I can now rest easy knowing that they will get around the clock professional and tailored attention. If you want a peace of mind with a well-rounded attention for your loved one, please consider Svetlana, her team and home. They are exceptional. Thank you!!!
