Like an exclusive cruise where you choose your activity! Ashley, Chef, provides two different entrees every day. If you don't fancy either one there are plenty of other options, Great meals in a pleasant dining room with good service. I think Chaparral Winds Independent Living Is exceptional with the relationship between staff and residents. Kathy, senior receptionist, Toni, and Danielle and others split a 24 hours day. There is ALWAYS an answer when you call. Arthur, Steve and Nacho - Maintenance - also have someone on call 24 hours for emergencies. NO, I am not being paid for this review! Unless you live close to Surprise and can check on your loved ones in person at least once a month, do not trust the Colonnade. Also important to know, they're in bed with Condit & Associates. Your family will lose everything they worked hard for and their quality of life will decline when it should do the opposite. Do not trust this place. This review is a long time coming and I'm sure the Colonnade is surprised I did not obtain legal counsel for the way my grandparents were "cared for."

For the cost of meals, you can get a much better meal on the outside, but so many residents are stuck with what they have to offer. The delivery of meals is hit or miss. The meals delivered are always smaller than what is s erved in the dining room, may be missing items ordered, or are delivered cold. The concierge and full -time staff are okay, but have no sense of urgency if a resident has a problem that they have never dealt with

Willing to listen patiently to residents that are frustrated and struggling to get their thoughts out, they help to resolve concerns quickly (especially with technology). The food is good and plentiful, the cleaning staff keep both apartments and common areas looking good. They have both rehab and medical personnel that are either on property or visit regularly to handle those issues that come up and are concerning. Best of all the entertainment and things "to do" give it a cruise ship feel on a daily basis. I thank them for their service to residents who have entered their final chapter and have less worries day-to-day!

I visited several 'facilities', but my last stop was OP, and it was perfect. The staff were friendly, professional, and welcoming, not just to me but to my mom! We were embraced with their warmth, kindness and knowledge. My mother was a nurse, and her assessment of her care was, "They are excellent". In December of 2022, my mother-in- law fell and fractured her wrist. From the hospital, she was sent to rehab. She had trouble doing PT because her toe nails were long and painful. They needed to be clipped. The rehab would not clip her nails. The week before Christmas, on a Friday, she/I was given a 5 day notice of discharge. I immediately called Orchard Pointe-Surprise, and within 3 days, my mother in law was moved in and settled! She was cared for, loved on and treated with respect. The last six days of her life, staff members from administration, to caregivers, to transportation, and maintenance, came to pay their final respects and show me love and support. No place is perfect, but Orchard Pointe- Surprise was perfect for my family members. ~Eileen

There is so much JOY in the residents and the teams that work with them and there is a true sense of comradery, family and connection. As seniors age, mental and physical capacity may become diminished, but there is still so much spark in the residents I have worked with here and I truly believe it's because the teams working for the communities foster such a wonderful spirit of love and togetherness. They speak hopefully, lovingly and faithfully and it really reflects in the faces and eyes of those who live here. They are committed to loving the residents and you see it! I am not just saying this because I have worked with them for several years doing marketing photography, but because I truly do see a special difference in these communities. Heritage is truly top-notch and a place I've already started comfortably recommending to family friends, because I believe they have something truly special.
