After repair, we can play CDs, and "please update" does not appear, but the unit cannot keep time unless playing a CD or the radio. When "idle", it flashes "please wait" every minute, resets, and loses time while doing so. We discovered this within minutes of its return after repair, confused as to how this could have been returned in this state. We immediately contacted Art's, and were told the 90 day warranty would cover it, so paid again to return it to Art's and it was finally returned to us a second time today, with no communication whatsoever, in the same state as we sent it to Art's the second time, more than a month ago. It still flashes "please wait" about once per minute, resets, and cannot keep time. Communication here is not good - no acknowledgement of receipt (either time) or of return, or what, if anything, was done. I appreciate the CD player repair, but we used the unit as the clock and alarm in our bedroom, and it is totally useless for that now despite two repair attempts. It would have been nice to just state that it couldn't be repaired, but to receive it back in the same condition with no note, email, or any communication after more than a month, is very frustrating. I spent over $300 in shipping and repair costs. I think I bought the unit for $299 or $249. I really wanted this to work out as I used to love radio, but I guess like Bose moved on, I will now have to move on to something else.
