I had a delicious cheeseburger and fries. The fries were homestyle with crispy coatings. The burger was delightfully pink inside and came with all the trimmings you add your own mayo ketchup or mustard. My wife had the fajita burrito. The meat was very tender and extremely delicious. The food was outstanding our server had the most beautiful smile and was attentive to us yet not overbearing. You get refills on your iced tea which I like because I normally drink more than just what I'm served. The ambience is totally unusual. It is a huge store with clothing items for sale as well as Art by local artists, including our Server. Ndhusband hung on all the walls. read more

Weird. I ordered a salad, but they didn't give it to me, saying they forgot Then, I noticed on the menu that my sandwich came with a salad. I asked about that, and they said, even though the menu says otherwise , my sandwich wasnt "eligible " to come with a salad. So, no salad for me. Sigh. read more

The food is decent and they're usually open when I'm here, but just thought it was odd no Hispanic/Latino artists were displayed despite being called "Venga" read more

What a delightful surprise in Terlingua! This place was designed to make the most of the views here. Huge windows look out on both the vast desert mountain views and the dry stone wall courtyard. The building fits in well with the area but is a modern and sleek design. The food was great. We had pancakes and bacon and a fajita burrito. Everything was freshly made. The burrito was enormous! Fajita meat, onions, and peppers inside a nice thin grilled tortilla. Pico, salsa, and sour cream on the side. Pancakes were not too fluffy, not too flat. Service was prompt and the server was knowledgeable about the food AND the building. Worth the drive from anywhere in Brewster or Jeff Davis County. read more

This is such a cool place! We stopped here on our way out of Big Bend. I had the smash burger with fries and it was very tasty. The walls are all decorated with artwork, some for sale and some not. It was fun to look at. My only disappointment was they didn't sell beer, it's byob. But I had a Mexican coke and that was great after a long day hiking read more

We ALWAYS stop at Venga when we go to Terlingua and have never been disappointed! Comfortable areas to sit, good food, and friendly excellent service read more

Surprisingly good. Seems out of place in Terlingua. Kinda fancy for this laid back community. Had the breakfast croissant with chorizo. It was delicious. read more

Very cool atmosphere and all you can drink/free mimosas on Saturdays and Sundays! Food was good but it took about an hour and a half to get our food - busy time during lunch hours. read more

Buying food for 13 on short notice can be difficult at best! They turned it out 5 times in three days with zero issues. Great food and wonderful service! read more

We are staying at Basecamp Terlingua and Venga has been our go to spot for breakfast. Everything we have tried (avocado toast, egg plate, chocolate muffin, smoothies) has been excellent. We also had one lunch. I would recommend the grilled cheese and soup. I also bought a wide brim straw hat, which has been amazing for hiking and canoeing! read more

Stopped in to take a chance after reading the other reviews, and I have to say I am disappointed...in the other reviewers. The cheeseburger was great, and the cheddar actually left an impression. I also had my fries 'Disco' style and the cheese curds and gravy went perfectly with the seasoned fries. Our food came out quickly and was cooked exactly as I expected. I can not speak to how well they handle crowds but I have absolutely nothing to complain about in my visit. There are four of us in my party and we all agree that the food is absolutely worth a stop. read more

This place is gorgeous, but they're sure failing hard on the basics of being a restaurant! We walk in, and there's no greeting or any indication of what to do. There are some empty tables with a bunch of dirty dishes on them and I eventually spy a QR code menu indicating to order and pay online through it. We sit down at the edge of a dirty table and do so. Forty minutes later, the kiddo has reached the end of his rope and honestly so have I so I go check on it. Apparently there are still four more tickets in front of us, so we're looking at an hour wait on food AFTER ordering. It's mid-afternoon on a Sunday and the place is half empty, so I have no explanation for this. The staff is friendly though, so there's that! Sure wish we'd gone somewhere else though, because this feels like purgatory. read more

Come here if you want to wait over an hour for some very average food. Cause we did on multiple occasions. Won't be returning!

This place was fantastic! Had breakfast our last three days in the area. I wish we found it sooner. It's a great way to fuel up be for a full day of hiking in the park. The people were kind and the food was delicious read more

Absolutely loved this place! We stopped in each morning before heading out to hike. Coffee was hot and tasty. I loved the breakfast burrito, and my husband loved the salmon toast. We also tried the paninis and banana pudding. Yum! We will definitely be back again! read more

Cute vibe, inviting seating with sofas and arm chairs, but they are 1000% asleep in the kitchen. At 11:15 on a Saturday we ordered just a couple of breakfast sandwiches. At 12:21 our order was ready, and it was not even crowded. I get that it's a laid back vibe, but don't come here hungry! read more

Is it a furniture warehouse? Oh wait - it's a camera light warehouse. No. Mirrors? Were any designers involved in this? Looks very cheap and tacky. read more

Great food and service in a cool, modern setting. The avocado hummus toast and eggs Benedict are outstanding.

Cool building, decent food, good prices but the zombie staff acted like they could care less for your business and couldn't b bothered to even take your order. The place looks like a turd in a punchbowl in Terlingua. Very extravagant building compared to the cool bohemian theme in the rest of town. At least a couple million went into construction. Musta run outa money for the bathrooms though - they look like concrete prison cells. read more

Perfect place for breakfast or lunch! Great food and a very inviting place. Lots of comfortable seating. read more

Delish! Staff was friendly, atmosphere was fun, perfect lunch spot. Already recommended to others.

A great place to sit and rest after a day of playing at Big Ben's National Park. A great little place in the Terlingua ghost town. Great food and drinks! read more

Great food and atmosphere! Very nice staff. We got the avocado toast and salmon. Can't recommend enough!

The food is good. Considering they want a tip at payment, they should bring your food to you. I won't tip next time.

The esthetics are very cool! The coffee and tea were so good! This place is the proverbial oasis in the desert! The hamburger was a little dry but the fries made up for it! They have some delicious banana pudding and cherries jubilee! It's a great place to stop and enjoy good food, exceptional coffee and a cool little joint! read more

Delicious food and great coffee. Does not handle crowds well - food orders seem to get out of line. People who came in and ordered 20 minutes after we did got their food before we did (we ordered two burritos). We waited for over an hour for two burritos. When we finally got the burritos they were wrong. Don't bother if there are a lot of people inside (more than five people). If there isn't a crowd definitely worth trying. read more

Fabulous spot in Terlingua! We have been visiting Big Bend for years and this is exactly what Terlingua needed. Delicious food (we had the breakfast burrito, pancakes, avocado toast and mimosas) and great atmosphere. This is definitely our spot for every trip to Big Bend area. read more

My new favorite café in the world. I loved the art, the space, the staff, and the food. We came here every day we were in Terlingua and loved it. read more

Great food, cool vibe, and amazing prices. Nice breakfast spot. Cool art for sale. Interesting building design with nice outdoor courtyard.

Good food, good atmosphere, decent price (meals in the $8-$15 range) but enjoy the hour wait for some eggs and bacon.

This place is great if you have an hour to wait for an a $8 avocado toast. The inside is super cute !

This is a great place to grab a breakfast or lunch. Large, clean, modern decor, and very relaxing. Service was great. During my last trip to Terlingua, this was one of my go-to places to eat. It is located just at the turnoff that goes to the ghost town. Great place. read more

Great breakfast. Best Cuban sandwich I have had in a long time. People running the place were extremely nice and courteous.

Amazing atmosphere along with the views , def the best spot to eat at Terlingua ghost town ! Very friendly environment . Even has a car charger for electric vehicles! Not to mention it has a lot of GREAT ART and the best part is that it's BYOB!!!!! 10/10 recommend !!! read more
