Breakfast Chalupas with Egg. Great!
Seth L.

The place looked cool, my food was above good, but the rude service just ruined it all and wouldn't ever recommend this place. The lady "helping" did more grunting than speaking, more eye rolling than looking at us. I know there are not a lot around, but try somewhere else. Both of us are native Texan so we skipped the BBQ place (for natives, "good" BBQ is only great when it's your own, ha!). But we'd go ahead and go there before this place.

Although I was only in the area for 4 days, Venga became a morning ritual. Sunrise, coffee and breakfast at Venga, run my day, sleep and repeat. The coffee is fine, speciality but pretty simple, and the food works, but I'm confident this spot is so popular for their other offering. The aesthetic pet friendly patio, spacious interior, variety of plants, and purchasable local artwork set it apart for anything and everything you'll find in the area. In fact, if you have a couple minutes to spare, it's worth stopping in, grabbing a drink, and treating the spot like a museum/local store. From tshirts, to hiking gear, to small local products, cacti and more, there's a little something for everyone, Protip: visit them at sunrise for an unrivaled majestic experience. :)

When dining in Terlingua, I typically think I am grading on a curve. There isn't a lot down in these here parts, so I appreciate what is. With all of that being said, Venga is a 5-star breakfast joint anywhere! It was so good, it was our only repeat restaurant during our 4 days in the Big Bend region. Venga is a little more fancy looking that the rest of the area but it's not fancy. It's......modern. Part breakfast/lunch restaurant, part coffee shop and it's also a place to grab a souvenir or some basic outdoor gear. Our 1st morning here, I got a basic ham, onion and peppers omelet and some sort of multi grain toast. Everything was delicious and yet so simple. The second visit I went with the breakfast tostadas. 2 tostadas with chorizo beans, breakfast potatoes, cilantro and cotija cheese. These were amazing. I also got a side of bacon. The bacon was cooked to the perfect combination of meaty/chewy and crisp (which is rare for me to find). it was my favorite meal of the trip. If Venga were in a major city, there would be a line at 8am every weekend. Can't miss spot in Terlingua.

Quickly became obsessed with this place and wish I could've experienced a lunch there, but we didn't leave the park soon enough! The avocado toast was the perfect size and everything tasted very fresh. It was great to enjoy the food while also viewing the gorgeous sunrise. Service is quick and there is ample seating both inside and outside. Plus there is an entire shop and tons of really awesome art work!

Only deducting a rating due to lack of coffee. They only have drip and iced with little flavors. However, they have a good breakfast selection and great grab and go options. I'd come here again. The chorizo burrito was good!

What an awesome place to eat at. Not only are they friendly and the food is great but you get to check a lot of local artists work around the establishment. The food was fairly priced, the service was attentive and the restaurant itself was clean and decorated very well. It was fun to eat and just look at around at really dope art and see how much it would be to take it home. I did not expect something like this for being out in the middle of nowhere but I'm really happy we were all able to stop and enjoy some great food and fun vibes. This place is a must stop if you ever find yourselves around this area.

This coffee shop and café is unique and very trendy. Though the indoor is beautiful the outdoor seating section is my favorite. Great spots to take in the view and sip coffee. No espresso based drinks are offered here but the coffee was great and they are located in such a convenient spot while we were visiting.

Great coffee and a fun place to just look around. I bought some local artwork off the wall, love that. Very charming. Service took a while but they were very busy.

One of my two favorite breakfast spots in Terlingua. Never a dull moment in Venga! So much to see. And the best coffee!!! Highly recommend the eggs Benedict!

Beautiful place, Horrible attitude

Beautiful interior , very bad attitude We've visited this location twice, and unfortunately, both experiences were disappointing with the people taking the order. On each visit, we were served by different waitresses, but the attitude was consistently poor. There was no warmth, no smile, and no sense that they wanted to be there. As guests, we did not feel welcomed at all. It's a shame because the interior is absolutely beautiful and thoughtfully designed. However, the service does not match the environment. The staff would benefit from improving their professionalism and customer service skills.

You have to order ahead of time, customer service was great. Food was amazing low, sodium friendly. Also, I got an iced coffee and milk is lactose intolerant friendly, almond and oat milk available besides whole milk.

Cool camera lights

Very cool place to enjoy breakfast and/or lunch and great coffee. Love all the art work. They have a great outdoor patio too.

The artwork displayed was pretty neat and it all looked like it was available as well.

Food was delicious (had both breakfast and lunch here on separate days). And the design of the space was a delight for my architect husband.

Highly recommended for anyone wanting a genuine Dark Sky stargazing experience!…read more Our family of 4 visited Big Bend National Park as part of a cross-country trip and wanted to experience stargazing for the first time. We found Astro Mucho through a google search and called for more details. Immediately it was easy to sense Devo's enthusiasm and friendliness even over the phone, and we booked a tour. He was very communicative prior to the event, checking in about weather conditions and special considerations for our handicapped son to ensure he would be comfortable and be able to participate fully. We arrived to the site (only 10 minutes north of Terlingua) where we found an intimate set up with comfortable chairs and groovy mood music that set the tone for our celestial experience. We lucked out and were the only 4 guests that evening (think it usually may be up to 10 guests per event). We found the laser pointer helpful during the guided tour of the sky. Everyone got a pair of binoculars to use and a red light flashlight as a gift. Good mix of telescope time, real time astrophotography (on a tablet), background astrology info, and guided tour of the sky/ constellations. Devo was patient with our questions and was knowledgeable. Devo nailed it!!

We could enjoy ourselves immensely in the great outdoors with no risk from the virus. Plus Mike is now fixing my husband's 35-year-old mountain bike! Mike gave me a quick lesson on shifting gears so that I really understood it. He showed how a pickup tailgate and a blanket double as a bike rack by covering the upright tailgate w the blanket and draping the front tire over it and then tying it down. Wow! Chris has consistently supported children in the arts locally with her talent, love and enthusiasm for many years. I love her beautiful photography and art. I love her beautiful soul. Chris and Mike recently participated in a skillful and courageous rescue of a tourist stranded on a high cliff and then rafted him to safety in the dark! I won't go into detail, but they need to write a book about that! Thank you, Chris and Mike! You are gems! Thank you for all that and for flattening the curve.

Talk about small town charm with big city quality food…read more I'm in town for work and I was recommended this place by a state trooper who had to remind me of the speed limit on my way from Austin. The first morning I tried it out, I have been back everyday since. It starts with the staff. You enter and seat yourself and Bertha is with you almost immediately with a huge smile on her face and the softest sweetest voice. It's a small town and slower paced but the food arrives quickly. Now I'm not going to lie, this isn't a Michelin star restaurant and I actually prefer it that way out here. The quality and flavors are perfect, not exaggerated deconstructed nonsense. The food is made with love and the tortillas are made fresh in house. I'm pretty sure everything is made fresh and from scratch but the tortillas are for sure. The owner is usually in and has introduced himself and said hello starting the second time I've come in. If you're in the Big Bend area, specifically Presidio, stop in and say hello to Bertha and get some good food that isn't crazy expensive. I forgot to mention, they sell bagged ice if you're in need and they don't have bs single ply toilet paper in the restroom either. HUGE plus I'm my book.
