Burrito Mexicano, eggs Benedict and mango chimoy smoothie
    Heather K.

This place was the best find out of the whole area. Delicious, fast coffee/espresso. The smoothies were so good. Mango chimoy and fresh. Breakfast was amazing and fresh ingredients. Super fast service and can get it to go or sit on their peaceful little patio area. There's lots of beautiful plants around the seating. The salsa is homemade and spot on. Not super spicy. Would highly recommend this place over anything in the area.

Love this place! Such a unique and chill vibe. Great selection of menu items and not overly priced. Breakfast sand and chili verde burrito were great with the homeade salsa!

Super cute little shop that smells amazing when you walk in. I went here for drinks one day and food the next. The mocha coffee is yummy and the milagro smoothie is delicious. My sister had the chai latte which was also great. The chile verde, chorizo burrito, french toast, and the breakfast English muffin were great. Everything was tasty and it's a great little stop if you are in town. The staff is nice as well. You just order at the kiosk and they will call your name.

First, I'd like to say that this place was impeccably clean, with an open kitchen where you could see them making breakfast. The employees were all so nice. We ordered two English muffin with sausage, egg and cheese and one ham, cheese and egg English muffin. I had the ham cheese and egg English muffin. I can honestly say it was the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. It was delicious. We also shared a pork tamale. It was excellent. My granddaughter ordered a mixed berry, banana yogurt smoothie and she loved it. It was quite busy, but we didn't have to wait too long for our meal to be prepared and ready to go. Wonderful places to sit with great Mountain View's. It was really a enjoyable breakfast. Wish there were more breakfast places like Express Y Poco Mas!

One of the only spots open in Terlingua on a Monday morning. A bit of a line to order at the counter but it didn't feel too bad and moved along quickly. The burritos were good but basic. Tortillas were fresh, cheese was freshly grated, bacon was cooked perfectly, but the eggs were way overcooked and dried out. French Toast was a real star. Bread grilled with lots of butter (YUM), crisp on the edges. Really good flavor. Dusted with perfect amount of powdered sugar and just perfect dipped in syrup. Guacamole was special. Super fresh and with a nice but not too overpowering kick of fresh jalapeño. They seemed confused about how to just add a side of salsa without the chips but they eventually figured it out. Espresso machine was, sadly, down and they didn't have hot tea, even though it was on the menu. Drip coffee was a little thin and "burnt-tasting." There is only outdoor dining, but there was a wood/burning stove which, along with the sun shining in, warmed where we sat nicely. Vibe was casual, upbeat, and friendly. Lots of out-of-towners, like us, but quite a few locals, too. The atmosphere of dining on a patio in a Ghost Town more than made up for the bits that were less than perfect. Would eat here again if we're in the area, and definitely recommend worth a stop and hang to anyone visiting.

The food was AMAZING. Coffee was DELICIOUS. And you just can't beat the vibe of this little place. Definitely recommend. We had a roadrunner hop over during breakfast!

Excellent food! This place was recommended by the front deck at our motel and it lived up to the recommendation. Good selection and relatively fast even with steady customers coming in. Highly recommend when in the Terlingua area.

Amazing vibes and food. The smell of the kitchen just radiates out the front door and makes you want to get to the front of the line as soon as possible!

Consistent, flavorful, and the outside dining offers amazing views. We visit every time we come to our place on The Ranch. Located in The Ghost town but get there before 2pm.

We went to see the Ghost Town in Terlingua and it was absolutely wonderful what we ran into the restaurants, the little side places, the food trucks, but this was our go to. We went here every day whether we were driving past Terlingua or driving from Big Bend to Terlingua and the lady who owns it also owns the taco restaurant. We never went down there because when we went up there, we spoke with her and she told us that she owned this little place and that was where you went for breakfast so we did our breakfast in Terlingua every day. It was wonderful. The ambience is great. The people are great. The service is amazing and they will change things up for you The pancakes. I do not have a picture of them, but they were huge and they were wonderful. you cannot go through Terlingua without going here.

Breakfast burritos are delicious. Coffee was very fresh and good as well. Loved the vibes and ambiance of the place as well. Not too crowded when we went on a Saturday morning, but the place was still buzzing enough that we didn't feel isolated. Staff was courteous and welcoming to us out-of-towners. Definitely recommend if you are visiting Big Bend and want to fuel yourself in the morning or even if you're just passing through.

It's a fun mix of art studio meets gift shop meets outdoor store meets coffee shop meets restaurant. The vibe was something that would totally work even in the biggest city. My wife opted for the avocado toast, which was huge and piled high with all the goodness you'd expect. I opted for the breakfast burrito. The food was great, the salsa served with the burrito was so flavorful and not overly spicy. The food was maybe a little too expensive, but we're in the middle of nowhere, so I get it. Cannot complain one iota about the food or vibe. Some of y'all will probably roll your eyes for the reason for my one missing star. They don't have an espresso machine. I mean, call me a big city guy, but when I see a place advertising COFFEE, I assume they run the gamut: lattes, espressos, etc. Nope, this joint just offers black coffee, which disappointed my fru fru coffee drinking wife. Had to stop in Alpine for her fix. I'd be interested to know why they don't sell espresso drinks because I think they'd sell ... Overall: definitely worth a visit.

The first morning I tried it out, I have been back everyday since. It starts with the staff. You enter and seat yourself and Bertha is with you almost immediately with a huge smile on her face and the softest sweetest voice. It's a small town and slower paced but the food arrives quickly. Now I'm not going to lie, this isn't a Michelin star restaurant and I actually prefer it that way out here. The quality and flavors are perfect, not exaggerated deconstructed nonsense. The food is made with love and the tortillas are made fresh in house. I'm pretty sure everything is made fresh and from scratch but the tortillas are for sure. The owner is usually in and has introduced himself and said hello starting the second time I've come in. If you're in the Big Bend area, specifically Presidio, stop in and say hello to Bertha and get some good food that isn't crazy expensive. I forgot to mention, they sell bagged ice if you're in need and they don't have bs single ply toilet paper in the restroom either. HUGE plus I'm my book.

That said, it's a cool spot with great people and I'd happily go back. I ordered their signature breakfast sandwich, egg, bacon, and cheese on a biscuit. It was good, not mind-blowing. The biscuit was a little dry, which was a bummer since that's supposed to be the star of the show. I kept wishing for some butter or sauce to bring it together. On the flip side, I also grabbed a slice of cake and that was excellent, easily my favorite thing I ate there. For drinks, I got a matcha latte. They warned me the matcha was a bit earthy and suggested adding sweetener, which I did. I always wonder if "earthy" is code for lower-quality matcha, if ceremonial matcha doesn't really need sugar, but with the sweetener it was totally fine and enjoyable. The space itself is cute and very Marfa. It's in a converted gas station that's part coffee shop, part vintage clothing store, with vintage motorcycles to keep the gas station theme going. There are only a couple of tables, and it's not really a place I felt like lingering with a book or a laptop. More of a grab-a-coffee-and-move-on kind of spot. If you're visiting Marfa and heading out to explore, it's perfect for that. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. They were attentive, brought my food to the table even though they initially said it would be window pickup, and the place is dog-friendly, very relaxed, and unpretentious. I'd absolutely come back the next time I'm in town.

Getting there, though, felt like stepping backward in time--partly paved roads, weathered buildings, and aging homes that quietly carry the town's long history. Then, almost abruptly, Sentinel Marfa appears as a striking contrast. The building is crisp and modernist, the kind of clean, intentional design you'd expect in a big-city neighborhood, not tucked into a rugged, historic West Texas landscape. Inside, that contrast continues. The high ceilings and open, airy layout give the space a contemporary calm, while scattered tables display local art, newspapers, and small curios that root it firmly in Marfa's creative spirit. A hallway beside the ordering counter leads to a quieter back room, which in turn opens to an outdoor area shaded by a massive oak tree. The place was buzzing, full enough that we ended up sharing a table with another family, which somehow felt fitting in a town like this. Coffee is ordered at the counter, with both staff and baristas displaying some of that West Texas charm and with a smile. Drinks are picked up at the counter while food finds its way to you. The coffee drinks are crafted with beans from Picacho Coffee Roasters. Straight coffee and lattes were exceptional, and the breakfast tacos, made fresh with fluffy eggs, cheese, and potatoes, delivered exactly what we needed. By the time we left, we felt not just caffeinated, but welcomed and ready to explore a place where time seems to move at its own deliberate pace.
