Hands down our favorite spot of the trip. After eating around the Big Bend area, a lot of places honestly felt a little touristy -- higher prices and good, but pretty basic food. This place completely stood out. The breakfast burritos were fresh, hot, and genuinely delicious, and the coffee selection was fantastic. It became one of our favorite parts of the morning to sit on the shaded patio, enjoy the ambience, and ease into the day before the afternoon heat rolled in. You can tell real care goes into both the food and the experience here.

This place was the best find out of the whole area. Delicious, fast coffee/espresso. The smoothies were so good. Mango chimoy and fresh. Breakfast was amazing and fresh ingredients. Super fast service and can get it to go or sit on their peaceful little patio area. There's lots of beautiful plants around the seating. The salsa is homemade and spot on. Not super spicy. Would highly recommend this place over anything in the area.

Love this place! Such a unique and chill vibe. Great selection of menu items and not overly priced. Breakfast sand and chili verde burrito were great with the homeade salsa!

First, I'd like to say that this place was impeccably clean, with an open kitchen where you could see them making breakfast. The employees were all so nice. We ordered two English muffin with sausage, egg and cheese and one ham, cheese and egg English muffin. I had the ham cheese and egg English muffin. I can honestly say it was the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. It was delicious. We also shared a pork tamale. It was excellent. My granddaughter ordered a mixed berry, banana yogurt smoothie and she loved it. It was quite busy, but we didn't have to wait too long for our meal to be prepared and ready to go. Wonderful places to sit with great Mountain View's. It was really a enjoyable breakfast. Wish there were more breakfast places like Express Y Poco Mas!

One of the only spots open in Terlingua on a Monday morning. A bit of a line to order at the counter but it didn't feel too bad and moved along quickly. The burritos were good but basic. Tortillas were fresh, cheese was freshly grated, bacon was cooked perfectly, but the eggs were way overcooked and dried out. French Toast was a real star. Bread grilled with lots of butter (YUM), crisp on the edges. Really good flavor. Dusted with perfect amount of powdered sugar and just perfect dipped in syrup. Guacamole was special. Super fresh and with a nice but not too overpowering kick of fresh jalapeño. They seemed confused about how to just add a side of salsa without the chips but they eventually figured it out. Espresso machine was, sadly, down and they didn't have hot tea, even though it was on the menu. Drip coffee was a little thin and "burnt-tasting." There is only outdoor dining, but there was a wood/burning stove which, along with the sun shining in, warmed where we sat nicely. Vibe was casual, upbeat, and friendly. Lots of out-of-towners, like us, but quite a few locals, too. The atmosphere of dining on a patio in a Ghost Town more than made up for the bits that were less than perfect. Would eat here again if we're in the area, and definitely recommend worth a stop and hang to anyone visiting.

Amazing vibes and food. The smell of the kitchen just radiates out the front door and makes you want to get to the front of the line as soon as possible!

The food was AMAZING. Coffee was DELICIOUS. And you just can't beat the vibe of this little place. Definitely recommend. We had a roadrunner hop over during breakfast!

Excellent food! This place was recommended by the front deck at our motel and it lived up to the recommendation. Good selection and relatively fast even with steady customers coming in. Highly recommend when in the Terlingua area.

Consistent, flavorful, and the outside dining offers amazing views. We visit every time we come to our place on The Ranch. Located in The Ghost town but get there before 2pm.

Homemade tortillas? Check Hearty, filling, tasty breakfast? Check Great vistas? No doubt. Probably the best breakfast we had while in the Big Bend area. Conveniently located between Big Bend Ranch State Park and Big Bend National Park, this is a great little place to get your fuel for the day. Our food was great and really kept us from eating our arms the rest of the day. Get there early. We got there at 830 and there were a few people there already waiting for their food. As soon as we got there, the line started to build up, about 8-10 deep. NOTE: MAX 2 PEOPLE ALLOWED INSIDE TO ORDER so everyone else has to wait in line outside.

We went to see the Ghost Town in Terlingua and it was absolutely wonderful what we ran into the restaurants, the little side places, the food trucks, but this was our go to. We went here every day whether we were driving past Terlingua or driving from Big Bend to Terlingua and the lady who owns it also owns the taco restaurant. We never went down there because when we went up there, we spoke with her and she told us that she owned this little place and that was where you went for breakfast so we did our breakfast in Terlingua every day. It was wonderful. The ambience is great. The people are great. The service is amazing and they will change things up for you The pancakes. I do not have a picture of them, but they were huge and they were wonderful. you cannot go through Terlingua without going here.

We showed up early for our ride with Terlingua Stables, while we had some time to burn, we dropped by to grab some coffee. It looked like it opened slightly earlier the day prior, and the day we got there it was as if they were still getting ready at 8:20am. I was glad to have this place open during the Terlingua "slow" season. They had three types of drip available, and I tried one of their muffins. I think for the most part the other patrons in the shop/cafe. The menu has sandwiches, toasts, breakfast snacks. So, if you had time, at breakfast or lunch, food is an option. The staff were nice. The cafe and shop were clean. The shop had a variety of things for sale - cool gear, cool snacks, cool coffee, cool art. They have art for sale, and big art, small art... shirts with art on them. Liz picked up a light long sleeve shirt to cover her arms during our times outside. There's a cool painting of John Wayne outside the bathroom for about $1,200. There is a bigger but similar style mural of Willie Neslon in the main shop area. It looks real cool. They have African statues and masks from all over. In the cafe portion, you can find plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Liz enjoyed her coffee in the unusually cool and breezy July morning outside. Solid 3.5 and great place for coffee and art.

We travelled there in mid-July and the options in Terlingua were somewhat limited, but this is one you don't want to skip. The first evening, we stopped by coming out of west Big Bend NP, and I just needed something easy and not messy. So, I got an horchata and an al pastor burrito. Liz had the al pastor tacos, and the burrito was a self contained version of that deliciousness. The agua de melon was very sweet and energizing after a long day of hiking in the park. The horchata was creamy and thick, but just as cold and refreshing as its fruity cousin. We went horseback riding with the Terlingua Stables and before checking out Big Bend Ranch State Park. This time around, Liz grabbed a burger, which she was happy with. I tried another burrito - the chicken fajita bacon ranch. The fries that came with Liz's burgers were good... i stole some. I went back for seconds and ordered a small order (6) of wings with a not so spicy version of the mango habanero. I was able to enjoy them, and I tried their third agua fresca - hibiscus/jamaica. In the end, i was impressed with Gordo's they were always there for us, during the Terlingua "slow" season. The service was very friend, and the food served was very good. Don't miss out on Gordo's.

The first morning I tried it out, I have been back everyday since. It starts with the staff. You enter and seat yourself and Bertha is with you almost immediately with a huge smile on her face and the softest sweetest voice. It's a small town and slower paced but the food arrives quickly. Now I'm not going to lie, this isn't a Michelin star restaurant and I actually prefer it that way out here. The quality and flavors are perfect, not exaggerated deconstructed nonsense. The food is made with love and the tortillas are made fresh in house. I'm pretty sure everything is made fresh and from scratch but the tortillas are for sure. The owner is usually in and has introduced himself and said hello starting the second time I've come in. If you're in the Big Bend area, specifically Presidio, stop in and say hello to Bertha and get some good food that isn't crazy expensive. I forgot to mention, they sell bagged ice if you're in need and they don't have bs single ply toilet paper in the restroom either. HUGE plus I'm my book.

That said, it's a cool spot with great people and I'd happily go back. I ordered their signature breakfast sandwich, egg, bacon, and cheese on a biscuit. It was good, not mind-blowing. The biscuit was a little dry, which was a bummer since that's supposed to be the star of the show. I kept wishing for some butter or sauce to bring it together. On the flip side, I also grabbed a slice of cake and that was excellent, easily my favorite thing I ate there. For drinks, I got a matcha latte. They warned me the matcha was a bit earthy and suggested adding sweetener, which I did. I always wonder if "earthy" is code for lower-quality matcha, if ceremonial matcha doesn't really need sugar, but with the sweetener it was totally fine and enjoyable. The space itself is cute and very Marfa. It's in a converted gas station that's part coffee shop, part vintage clothing store, with vintage motorcycles to keep the gas station theme going.
