Open on both ends and about half as big as the American versions. It was just the right size before hitting the trails! The ladies behind the counter were as friendly as I'd expect anyone to be, moving like they were and dealing with entitled tourists. It's a tiny spot and the lines can get long. Super cute little shop that smells amazing when you walk in. I went here for drinks one day and food the next. The mocha coffee is yummy and the milagro smoothie is delicious. My sister had the chai latte which was also great. The chile verde, chorizo burrito, french toast, and the breakfast English muffin were great. Hands down our favorite spot of the trip. After eating around the Big Bend area, a lot of places honestly felt a little touristy -- higher prices and good, but pretty basic food. This place completely stood out. The breakfast burritos were fresh, hot, and genuinely delicious, and the coffee selection was fantastic. It became one of our favorite parts of the morning to sit on the shaded patio, enjoy the ambience, and ease into the day before the afternoon heat rolled in. First, I'd like to say that this place was impeccably clean, with an open kitchen where you could see them making breakfast. The employees were all so nice. We ordered two English muffin with sausage, egg and cheese and one ham, cheese and egg English muffin. I had the ham cheese and egg English muffin. I can honestly say it was the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. It was delicious. We also shared a pork tamale. It was excellent. My granddaughter ordered a mixed berry, banana yogurt smoothie and she loved it. It was quite busy, but we didn't have to wait too long for our meal to be prepared and ready to go. One of the only spots open in Terlingua on a Monday morning. A bit of a line to order at the counter but it didn't feel too bad and moved along quickly. The burritos were good but basic. Tortillas were fresh, cheese was freshly grated, bacon was cooked perfectly, but the eggs were way overcooked and dried out. French Toast was a real star. Bread grilled with lots of butter (YUM), crisp on the edges. Really good flavor. Dusted with perfect amount of powdered sugar and just perfect dipped in syrup. Guacamole was special. Super fresh and with a nice but not too overpowering kick of fresh jalapeño. They seemed confused about how to just add a side of salsa without the chips but they eventually figured it out. Espresso machine was, sadly, down and they didn't have hot tea, even though it was on the menu. Drip coffee was a little thin and "burnt-tasting." There is only outdoor dining, but there was a wood/burning stove which, along with the sun shining in, warmed where we sat nicely. Vibe was casual, upbeat, and friendly. Lots of out-of-towners, like us, but quite a few locals, too. The atmosphere of dining on a patio in a Ghost Town more than made up for the bits that were less than perfect. Would eat here again if we're in the area, and definitely recommend worth a stop and hang to anyone visiting. read more

Had a wonderful Asado burrito here on my visit to Terlingua. Great spice and flavor - perhaps a bit heavy for breakfast, but I chose my own adventure there. Plentiful outdoor seating - I imagine even in the shade it might be a bit uncomfortable around midday but in the morning it was just fine. Four stars because although the iced coffee tasted OK, there were chunks of I guess poorly ground beans dispersed in it (same for my friend). We went to see the Ghost Town in Terlingua and it was absolutely wonderful what we ran into the restaurants, the little side places, the food trucks, but this was our go to. We went here every day whether we were driving past Terlingua or driving from Big Bend to Terlingua and the lady who owns it also owns the taco restaurant. We never went down there because when we went up there, we spoke with her and she told us that she owned this little place and that was where you went for breakfast so we did our breakfast in Terlingua every day. It was wonderful. The ambience is great. The people are great. The service is amazing and they will change things up for you The pancakes. We love coming here every time we are in town! The chorizo and egg burritos with Noemi's homemade salsa are so tasty we always talk about it when we leave!! The jars of the salsa are usually for sale but every time I come here they're always sold out! But that's ok...one day when we visit again I will buy them out when they have some in!! Food and coffee are served rather quickly. They will call your name when ready. We each ordered a breakfast burrito with egg and sausage, and Christmas sauce to match. The fresh squeezed orange juice with pulp is perfect hydration to begin the day though $5 for a small cup seemed a bit excessive until you remember exactly how remote Terlingua is. Overall excellent. Good breakfast to get our day going. I ordered the #2 that came with a meat, egg, one tortilla and beans and salsa. They scrambled the chorizo into the egg for me. The beans didn't seem homemade, not a ton of flavor but mixed with the eggs and chorizo became more of just a filler. The salsa was good though, just the right amount of spicy to give your breakfast a little kick. Coffee was decent (no decaf available), creamer was at the front where you placed your order and paid and the sugar and stirrers were out on the patio. Nice that they had a water jug outside with cups for no extra charge. Got our toddler the granola and yogurt bowl. It was huge, and tasty. I had to steal a few bites. Hubby got the waffle and added a side of bacon, all of which were good. The orange juice is definitely fresh squeezed. It was $5 for a small cup but it was really good. Terlingua is one of the last bastions of the funky, off the grid little towns of America. And Espresso Y Poco Mas is the epitome of the kind of place to relax, recharge the soul, and enjoy sublime culinary arts. All in the middle of no where. The spot is definitely off the beaten track of an out of the way town. Getting there is tough, but the pretty full parking lot means you are in the right place. If you have a hard time finding a good parking spot, across the "road" is another one. The building is small. Order on the left, pick up from the cook on the right. She only makes one order at a time, so put on your chill and enjoy the awesome seating areas. Looks beautiful, fits in well, and enjoy your companions or the weather. We ordered a Burrito Mexicano and was treated to a slice of heaven. The cook is an absolute Artist! So simple a start so well executed. I had to go back and thank her and she just smiled. Like a Zen master proud & proficient at her art. The coffee was also rock solid. If you are ever near Terlingua, make darn sure you try this place out. read more

A delightful breakfast and lunch stop with credibly good coffee/espresso drinks, wonderful food and fantastic views of the Big Bend mountains, and importantly, good seating outdoors in the shade. Though the only coffee shop in the area, good enough it doesn't matter because it would be quite a feat to beat out what's going on here. A little community this small with this kind of gem, we feel lucky it's here. Certainly, with all of the Airbnb rentals in the area the place is hopping daily. In particular we loved their breakfast burritos and their signature Poco Más plate filled with eggs, a meat of your choice, refried beans, tortillas and salsa. Tomorrow we'll have breakfast there then say goodbye to the region and head home. We'll miss hanging out here. If you come: all major credit cards accepted, plenty of parking in front of the restaurant. Dress is hiker casual and don't be surprised if someone's dog happens by the table to say hi. read more
