This is a great spot for both morning beverages/food and tasty lunches. We ate lunch here twice and grabbed coffee and matcha for the road to Big Bend. The counter service is friendly and the ambiance is vibrant with contemporary takes on western art on the walls. For the lunch, when you have the choice of chips or pasta salad - go with the pasta salad! The dressing has great flavor and they use a unique blend of veggies that adds to the dish. Both days I went with the Turkey Ruben. They use thick, flavorful slices of turkey and the bread was soft with the great marbled flavor. My husband had the French dip the first day. The only feedback he had was the size of the sandwich was a bit on the smaller end for him so he didn't fill up. The second time, he ordered the Club Sandwich that features the same thick flavorful turkey. The Gage organization does a great job of providing different types of price points for food and we found all of the options to fill the perfect need with a great meal.

We spent three mornings at the Gage and ate breakfast at V6 every day. The food was great! My husband loved his breakfast burrito, and the migas was another favorite of ours. I ended up having the avocado toast with smoked salmon twice because it was so perfect. We ordered lattes with each meal, and they were excellent! Being a barista myself, I really appreciated V6! The Mexican Mocha is delightful and we had pumpkin spice lattes one morning for the heck of it and thoroughly enjoyed them! The vibes are good and the gallery/store next door is cute! We also felt like the price was fair for the two latte/two breakfast combos we were ordering. A must visit in Marathon!

Cutest spot. Great food and paintings. Always love a good coffee or matcha from here. Got the blueberry pancakes and they were very good.

On the way home from Big Bend National Park, the V6 Coffee Bar offers some traditional breakfasts and, of course, coffee. The restaurant was full of people, and we still got our order relatively quickly. It's a beautiful little country restaurant, family oriented, but cozy enough for couples as well. The biscuits are light a fluffy. Eggs cooked perfectly. Sausage was meaty, not greasy... bacon crisp and meaty as well. Excellent coffee.

We stopped in for a quick latte but to our surprise, we ended up having a delightful lunch and did a bit of shopping next door! The coffee was excellent, V6 offered great service, and the pasta salad was just the perfect side for my Power Bowl.

After four days camping at Big Bend National Park without hookups, and an oh dark 30 wake up call to get a jump on a long driving day through Texas, I really only needed two things: a hot shower, and a hot coffee. Since the former was several hours away at a hotel, my bride and I settled in for the long drive from the back corner of the park to the nearest coffee joint in Marathon. We arrived around 8 AM, drop the speed to 25 through town, and found enough curb for the truck and trailer. Cute little town, I thought, here on US 90. A fellow that looked like a regular was sitting outside at a small table enjoying the relatively cooler start to it promise to be a hot Texas day, and I went inside. The young fellow behind the counter greeted me with a good morning, and took my order for two hot coffees, straight up. He managed to sell me on a couple of berry-filled empanadas that were wrapped in a basket on the counter, after he told me they were out of muffins and such. The coffee's were brewed fresh, and while I waited for a few moments, regarding the inside of the establishment. Plenty of wood tables on wood floors, low lighting, and what appears to be local artists paintings hanging on the walls. Seems like the type of place I would hang out and write a screenplay. If I lived here. Or If I was a screenwriter. Instead, I snapped a photo, resigning myself to the fact that most of my writing is in the yelp review format these days... And maybe someday (or more accurately, today) I would get around to sharing my experience of a cool little coffee shop, on the side of the road, in a quaint little town that you'll probably never visit. Even though you should.

Checked this place out before heading into Big Bend. Lots of tables inside. It was quite busy. We were able to order pretty quickly at the counter. I got the Avocado toast. We grabbed a table and shortly after, our food was run over to us. Everything tasted fresh and the bacon was cooked crispy! Yum! Definitely stop here if you are in the area!

Awesome flavor with the Biscuits & Gravy, but I would have traded the sausage patty for another (or more substantial) biscuit.

The food was amazing. We will be back for more. It was busy but they treated us like we mattered.

Talk about small town charm with big city quality food…read more I'm in town for work and I was recommended this place by a state trooper who had to remind me of the speed limit on my way from Austin. The first morning I tried it out, I have been back everyday since. It starts with the staff. You enter and seat yourself and Bertha is with you almost immediately with a huge smile on her face and the softest sweetest voice. It's a small town and slower paced but the food arrives quickly. Now I'm not going to lie, this isn't a Michelin star restaurant and I actually prefer it that way out here. The quality and flavors are perfect, not exaggerated deconstructed nonsense. The food is made with love and the tortillas are made fresh in house. I'm pretty sure everything is made fresh and from scratch but the tortillas are for sure. The owner is usually in and has introduced himself and said hello starting the second time I've come in. If you're in the Big Bend area, specifically Presidio, stop in and say hello to Bertha and get some good food that isn't crazy expensive. I forgot to mention, they sell bagged ice if you're in need and they don't have bs single ply toilet paper in the restroom either. HUGE plus I'm my book.

Very worth it. Didn't know how a place out here had such a high rating with so many reviews…read more Starting with the greeting and the chips with salsa, I was understanding. Got the green sauce chicken enchiladas. Geez, perfect in every way. Most restaurants save their dried out chicken for the enchiladas, this place doesn't. There's not a thing I could say to improve or complain about. Friendly people, superb food, modern looking restaurant. Well, well worth the price.
