Love this place , when I got there my family and I were immediately greeted and sat down ... the vibe of this Italian restaurant is awesome ... It was pretty packed .... Update: Called again to request owner call me but still no call. I was given a $75 gift card that has no expiration date so since I recently moved to Sarasota I stopped by on Monday 3/30/26 to finally have the opportunity to use my card but apparently they changed systems. A woman (I assume the manager that day) took a picture of my card and the receipt and said she would send to owner so he could contact me. So far I have not been contacted. I suggested they just give me a new $75 gift card since that is the amount of the card I never got to use. I also ordered a greek salad (yes a greek salad in an Italian restaurant). wasn't even close to a greek salad. spring mix with feta cucumbers a BALSAMIC dressing. What!!!! I'm following up after my last visit. Venenzia is my go-to destination for an exceptional espresso martini, and after a day at Lido Beach, we made a point to stop in for a late lunch and a drink. My daughter and I shared the grilled salmon salad, which I requested to be cooked medium, and I was impressed to find it cooked to perfection - a true testament to the kitchen's skill. I went so far as to give compliments to the chef. The lemon zest dressing, served on the side, added a burst of citrus flavor that elevated the dish. My daughter, still hungry after her half of the salad, ordered a half pepperoni pizza that was cooked to perfection and thoroughly enjoyed. I only wish Venezia was closer to home, as it would undoubtedly become our regular haunt. Ambiance is always bright, clean and I love the TV's at the bar for watching sports. read more

Had a great experience here last month. First time at this restaurant. We lucked out with a table for two outside ( inside was packed and AC too cold for me)--great people watching! We ordered white sangria , which was fruity and refreshing. For our appetizer we had smoked salmon bruschetta, an excellent pairing of smoked salmon, cream cheese on toast with a fantastic blend of olive bog and balsamic glaze. We shared the linguine del mare: mussels, clams, shrimp and calamari in a white wine broth. Decent portion and all fish properly cooked. It was light and delicious. We were still hungry (!!!) so we ordered caprese, : fresh mozzarella ( most likely homemade), basal and balsamic vinegar-- better than most due to the freshness of ingredients. Our server, Bernadette, was very attentive, friendly and offered good suggestions as we ordered. This was a great alternative to the restaurant we always visit when we go to St Armand's.; read more

We came here for a lunch on Saturday. Absolutely loved the food! Had stuffed mushroom, shrimp salad and linguine de mare. All food was excellent! Definitely a great lunch. Service was great as well. They played college women's basketball in the TV and we asked to show the final of women's tennis WTA 1000 and they switched, which was great to watch and eat some great food. Next time we come in we want to try pizza. Ambiance is low key, not a fancy place but very organized and inviting. Definitely recommend. read more

We're locals to the area and decided to stop in for the first time with friends visiting from out of town. After a beach day at Lido, we were all craving pizza and this spot was nearby--unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. The service was absolutely horrendous. From the moment we were seated, our server acted like we were an inconvenience. We were a party of 10 (4 kids and 6 adults), and every time we tried to order something, he either brushed us off or made us wait excessively. Meanwhile, we watched him rush back and forth giving much better attention to smaller tables around us. What really left a bad taste in our mouths was the automatic 21% gratuity that was added without any warning. We understand gratuity is sometimes included for large parties, but we were never informed ahead of time. Nevertheless a 21% gratuity, it's typically a %18 and that's when the party is paying on one check--and to add that much despite the poor service felt disrespectful. We also split our checks because some were couples and others were families, but each one had that same high gratuity tacked on. As someone who's worked in the hospitality industry for over a decade, I've never experienced service like this. Our server didn't check on us once, made it clear we weren't a priority, and gave off the impression that he didn't care to earn a tip since one was already guaranteed. The food itself was actually good, but the experience was so negative we won't be back. It's a shame because I was hoping to bring my dad and his wife here one day, but knowing how families and larger parties are treated, I won't take the risk. If you're visiting the area--especially with kids or on a budget--skip this place. It's not worth the stress or the inflated bill. read more

Skip this place during your Lido Key vacation. Bolognese sauce was the worst i have ever had - watery, almost like a thin soup. Chicken parm was floating in the same watery mess. Service was good - waitress tried to fix it. But even on the second try, it was a watery transparent mess. Antipasto was good. Great location. Good spot for Italian within the area. Really enjoy how bright it is with all of the windows - and plenty of outdoor seating. Service is always good - typically sit at the bar unless with a bigger party. Food always comes out extremely fast. The garlic herb bread is probably something I would not get again. There was not much garlic to it - was just pizza crust with some Parmesan on top. Caesar salad is good. Other go-to order is the angel hair pasta with vodka sauce - comes extremely saucey, but is more on the creamy side and not much "spice" per se. It's a great spot but not necessarily anything that will knock your socks off from a food perspective. Will still continue to go because the service is good and the vibe is good overall. read more

My only experience so far is Venezia's wood fired pizza. It was a 14 inch with sausage mushroom and garlic toppings. The service was good. It was a pleasant day and I sat outside so the the atmosphere was relaxed and casual. It was very enjoyable. When the pizza came the toppings were arranged near the center leaving a large area without topping around the perimeter. I can only guess that that the toppings were arranged in that manner to minimize the amount of toppings used. The crust was good. The pizza and two beers came to $51.47 tax and tip included. For that money it seems that they could have spent an extra dollar and provided a complete coverage of toppings. read more

This is a classic tourism trap. Venezia is located on the main strip of St Armand's circle and can get away with providing lacklustre food because of their location. I visited with a party of 5 and 2 out of 5 of us enjoyed our meal, really it was sub par at best. The service was friendly and the food was quick. If you're looking for a quality meal maybe go somewhere else and get a better bang for your buck. read more

We arrived on a Sunday Evening around 5pm and there was a line at the Hostess stand. Fortunately, there were tables available inside and we were seated promptly. No reservations here, but the place seems to have plenty of seating and an efficient operation. Service was excellent throughout the evening. I ordered the Angel Hair pasta in Vodka sauce and added Shrimp and Sautéed Calamari to it. That added about $20 in cost to the price of the dish, but it was well worth it. Pasta was perfectly cooked, sauce was delicious, shrimp were flavorful and the calamari was tender and tasty. Would get this dish every time. We didn't have a reservation & we had about a 30 min. wait to be seated at 7:00 p.m. on a Sun. night. I ordered the Greek White Pizza. The spinach is not cooked into the pizza, but rather it is dumped on top of the pizza, & I was not a fan of that. It had good flavor and a huge crust. My friend ordered the Capricciosa pizza without the ham. We shared both pizzas and I would say they were good. We also split a Greek salad with chicken and that was great. Our server was very busy and checked on us a couple of times. The restaurant is very noisy and it was hard to hear people sitting across from us at our table. They have a large outdoor patio dining area and a very large wrap around bar inside the middle of the restaurant. Oddly, this restaurant only has two restrooms for as large as it is, and the line was very long to get in there. I can be sensitive to gluten, and had bad stomach pains that night. I looked it up online and some pizza dough has more gluten than others, and I would say that their dough has high gluten content. One of our favorite activities is a progressive dinner and we elected Venezia to be the appetizer pizza before moving on to Shore. We almost hesitated though due to the unimpressive recent food inspection rating. We decided that pizza sans cheese would be a safe option. Decided to skip on the salad for obvious reasons..... No reservations here so we decided to show up earlier before 6pm. So darn hot outside and we opted to sit inside at the bar. Large tv's overtake the room and if you look carefully, you will see 2 pizza ovens blazing. My aperol spritz was perfect, hubby enjoyed his pinot noir. Bartender was very friendly and service was pleasant. Food delivery here is always slow despite it being before the evening rush. The marinara pizza sounded perfect- no cheese. Hubby likes anchovies so he had all on his side of the pie. Crust had a good flavor and crunch factor. Only odd part was that we were charged $2 for anchovies when the pizza has them as part of the description. DId not mention until I was reviewing the bill after we left. By the time we were strolling towards Shore for our 7pm inside reservation, the outside tables were filling up as well as the inside crowds. It is nice to bring the dogs and sit outside here when it is cooler. read more

Both food and service is excellent. The Bolognese is some of the best I've had. The interior is colorful and fun but so loud, I prefer eating outside because of the noise. My only problem with this restaurant are the seats. They are hard, heavy and uncomfortable. I also noticed when we sat at a high top, the bar stools were too high for the tables. They ordered the wrong height chairs for those high tops. It won't stop me from going back because the food is delicious. read more

We were in St. Armand's square while taking a trip "in town", and wanted to grab dinner. We didn't have any set plans, but opted to initially try Venezia for a cocktail while we decided where to go for dinner. Because we were only having drinks, the hostess sat us outside under an umbrella (they were starting to get pretty busy and we couldn't sit at the bar due to having our kiddo with us). I checked out their cocktail menu and decided to try their limoncello martini, my husband got a Peroni, and my kiddo got his usual: a club soda. The server was friendly, brought us out three waters while we waited for our drinks. Our drinks came out pretty quickly and I was eager to dig into (I mean have a sip) my martini. Now there's one restaurant I ALWAYS use as the bar for the best martini. When I say I was stunned that this martini gave it a run for its money, I'm not kidding. It had the perfect balance of sweet and sour, plus the sugar rim really made it perfect. It was so good, it convinced my husband to have one after his beer. After sitting outside for a few hours, we decided to eat dinner at Venezia, but asked the hostess if we could move inside, since it appeared to get hotter (I'm not even sure that was possible). They found us a table inside. We opted to order the fried mozzarella, gnocchi alla vodka, a margarita pizza, and the shrimp and pasta alfredo. Our server was delightful and very attentive. Our appetizer came out quickly and was delicious. I loved how the mozzarella had a crisp outer crust and the inside was gooey. Next our entrees came out. My alla vodka was delicious. Venezia is a popular and very visible place with several tables on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. I say popular because when we are walking around the circle in the evening those tables are always filled with customers. Our visit today was a little different, it was lunchtime in the off season on a hot day. We sat inside. No one was sitting outside. The inside was nice and air conditioned, a bit loud, my favorite kind of music playing in the background. We got a window seat and watched the few people on the circle walk by. Our server was right over and very pleasant, and did an excellent job. Our food was ready quickly, under 10 minutes, the pizza we had ordered placed on top of their signature tomato can stand. My wife got plenty of pizza, the size was 14", so I Instead ordered their Spaghetti Alla Carbonara. My food tasted fine. It was a heavy meal with lots of chewy spaghetti, so much so I filled up with food remaining. Happy and full, we were glad we finally stopped by. read more
