The owner, Tony, diagnosed the problem and had a man come out the next day to replace the damaged box and all the breakers in it (they were all reaching their end-of-lifespan, 40+ years). The technician performed the swap-out service with excellence. Courteous, organized, quiet, and focused on the task like a laser beam. He concentrated non-stop for five hours in cramped quarters and replaced the box and all its breakers. The wiring inside the new box was expertly organized and tidy. His interactions with me were knowledgeable and cheerful. A very pleasant professional. I am pleased to recommend Valentino Contracting without reservation. Joe, my service technician, arrived right at 9:30 a.m., the front end of his estimated time frame of 9:30 to 10 a.m. (He could give my cable guy a lesson in timeliness!) Joe was courteous, and went right to work. He didn't try to up-sale me on any "premium services" like other companies I have used. He also didn't try to sell me parts I didn't need - like the last company that serviced my HVAC unit. At the end of my appointment, all I needed was a new air filter. Over the weekend while out of town on business, my heating unit stopped working. My Nest thermostat…read morewas set to 62F and when I returned, my house was a chilly 54F. Not good, I thought. After doing some basic troubleshooting - making sure the connections were fine and then swapping out Nest for my old thermostat, and seeing no improvement, I called for Birkley. They were able to come out to the house within a few hours, and gave me a courtesy call of 15 minutes prior to arrival so I could drive home. The technician went downstairs to do some troubleshooting, and while he was at it, he checked out the heating unit from top-to-bottom and gave it a good cleaning. Long story short, it ended up being that the neighbor had blocked the input/output pipes that led to the HE furnace. Once those were removed, the heating unit worked fine and now I have heat! Great, professional service. Allowed me to be inquisitive and showed me some of the workings of the furnace. At least now I know how some of it works!

Buyer beware... I have a home warranty with American Home Shield and had NABI come out to check on…read moresome lights flickering in my house. Upon arrival the technician told me that we have some major issues and they need to be fixed as soon as possible due to safety issues. The technician then quoted me $3400 to replace the already brand new meter panel on the outside of the house in addition to placing in some ground rods and said some additional work might need to be done as well. Upon him leaving I borrowed a multimeter from my neighbor and tested the two hot wires and neutral coming into the house and they were way out acceptable voltage range which told me that this guy was full of crap as we were getting bad power coming into the house From the duke power line outside our house. Fast forward 2 days later Duke came out and re-crimped the neutral wire on the high line outside our house and our electric is now working perfectly fine with no dent made to my bank account. The duke lineman also said that this is something that any electrician worth his/her salt would be able to spot and let their customer know prior to suggesting them to spend a chunk of change to get something fixed that wasn't even going to solve the issue. I do not doubt that this guy knows what he's doing, but with that said he also knows what he's doing and will prey on those he thinks he can sucker into spending a boat load of money. I will be reporting him to my home warranty company and the BBB as having shady business practices.

After over 20 years working with Wilfert for our homes and our real estate business, the loss of…read moreone employee/owner dropped this company to the worst contractor we've ever used. we found fire hazards in new wiring they did, many errors and generally sloppy, unprofessional work. We had to hire a reputable electrician to correct their many errors and ridiculous mistakes. they gossiped about their clients' personal lives to us, wandered around our home and did non-requested work, redid work already done for no reason and failed to complete any one task, despite a lot of patience and careful listing of work. They delayed other contractors, then blamed other long-time contractors for their delays. We were stunned by the blatant fire hazards they left in their wake. We tend to use the same contractors we've used for over 20 years, but will no longer use Wilfert.
