As a chocolate lover, could not resist walking in. I grabbed a few truffles including a dark chocolate pistachio, dark chocolate raspberry and dark chocolate Tiramisu. I tried their gelato. I've stopped by twice so far. The first time I was greeted by Diana. She was so welcoming and sweet! She made sure I had a good experience trying their products out since they just opened. I had a good time getting a good glimpse on what the store has to offer and of course the tastings. I plan to come back to try the gelato. My sec time was not so welcoming. Didn't catch her name but she was shorter and brunette working on Thursday 9/13 around 11:30am 12pm. She seemed like she didn't want to help promote the store and didn't want to be there or like she was bothered by something. She wasn't inviting at all and had to ask her about what to try there and their popular stuff while Diana was quick to explain everything. I walked out and said bye and she didn't say bye back. I'd say let her go lol because she doesn't really represent the store well and I'd hate for the store to be a bad experience because of bad customer service. Anyways maybe she was having a bad day but don't want to make excuses for her. I'll still be back to get more chocolate and get a gelato and treat myself! We had such a wonderful experience at Venchi! From the moment we walked in, Diana welcomed us so warmly and made us feel right at home. She is incredibly sweet, kind, and friendly. After just a few minutes of interacting with her, you feel so comfortable and welcomed. The gelato was absolutely delicious! They also offered us samples so we could try different flavors before choosing, which we really appreciated. Everything tasted fresh and so good. The Nutella made with olive oil was by far one of our favorites,you can really taste the hazelnuts, and the flavor is incredible! The atmosphere is elegant, classy, cute, and welcoming, but what really made our experience special was the service. Diana's kindness and positive energy made our visit even better. I love their chococaviar orange and raspberry flavors . Used to buy them at a gelato shop in PR but now there's a complete store with many of flavors and options . Staff is friendly and welcoming and always give samples . Con: don't eat the chococaviar in bed or without a plate . I chill them, leaving the wrapper on I tap off the extra "caviar" and use a knife to scrape as much of the tiny bits . then i dip the exposed orange marmalade or raspberry into the extra chocolate bits . do that unless you want them in your carpet down your cleavage and your bed looks like you had an accident with bits of melted chocolates everywhere in the AM read more

Brand new store just opened in Topanga Mall! Quite a beautiful location, feels like you're transported into a colorful wonka factory. Staff was extremely kind and offered samples upon entrance. They are very friendly and helped me navigate their different types of chocolates to narrow down what I might like. Around $14 for 1/4 lb of chocolates. You get to pick and choose to fill your own bag to your liking. They have many assorted boxes available that would make beautiful gifts. They also offer gelato, crepes, and coffee! Definitely a fun place to visit. I only tried some chocolates this time around and shared the rest with family and friends. I gave it 4 stars because I haven't tried their Gelato yet!! But the service is totally 5 stars only because (this is our first time here, before as I walked by, without really looking at the store, I thought it was some jewelry store...lol) as we walked in, we just browsed around and as we were browsing, the nice lady that was standing by the front noticed us and was apologetic saying how she had missed us walking in and was handing out chocolate candy samples!!! How nice is that?? I didn't even know about the samples, I saw her talking with other customers and that was how she missed us walking in. The place inside is so pretty and fun!! You walk into the store and smell fresh waffles. They offer sample chocolates and the staff is very friendly. I ordered the affogato with hazelnut ice cream. It was alright, i expected more but it came flat for me. I was expecting it to be rich and lucious but it was just ok. Hubby ordered 2 scoops of ice cream, dark choclate and hazelnut. I prefer the ice cream only. It was creamy, smooth and rich. This is near the food court of the mall. read more

This place is truly impressive. The flavors are bold, creative, and far from your ordinary gelato experience. One thing I especially loved as a pistachio enthusiast is that they offer three different pistachio options, each with its own unique character. The fresh-made waffle cones are a great touch, and while I came for the pistachio gelato, the real surprise was their White Coffee flavor. It was unlike anything I've had before--rich, unique, and wonderfully exotic. I always enjoy stopping by to try something new, and every visit has been a great experience. Very disappointing experience. I paid $10 for a milkshake, and the cup was left about two inches from the top. For that price, the cup should be filled. When I asked about it, I was told it was because it was made with sorbet. I don't see how that's relevant. If that's how it's served, then use a smaller cup that reflects the actual portion instead of serving it in a larger cup that isn't even full. I left feeling like I didn't get what I paid for, and I wouldn't order a milkshake here again. read more

To start the ladies inside are very sweet, great hospitality skills. The feel of the store is very warm and welcoming. The chocolate there is amazing however, I did go for the gelato. Horrible experience with the staff here. Came for the first time to check it out. I met my parents at the mall and I told them about this new gelato shop that opened. We decided to check it out and get a sample to see if we liked it. The lady behind the counter said what's your size? I said what do you mean? She said tell me what size you want and then I'll get you a sample. I said we don't know if we want to buy one yet we want to try it first. And she reluctantly said ok I'll get you a sample and then you can tell me what size. So we tried a couple flavors. It was good. I still had more shopping to do so I said I'll come back when I'm done and my mom decided not to get one. On our way out my dad was looking at some chocolate samples they had. And my mom wanted to try one. The set up was weird with some in wrappers and some out so I said maybe try one of the ones in the wrapper. And then the same rude lady came from behind the counter and says the wrapper ones aren't samples these are samples and takes it in her bare hand and puts in it in my moms hand and then takes away the whole sample box away. Literally treated us like we were homeless people off the street. Such a rude employee. After I did my shopping I decided not to go back there and deal with the rudeness at that store again. I went down to wanderlust instead and the employee there was super sweet and offered me samples and I got my ice cream from there. Won't be going back based on this experience. And I'm sure they'll lose other customers if they don't train their staff better. read more
