Great, responsive service in Boulder! I normally like my LBS a lot, but after three fails at fixing a problem with my road bike - and then telling me it would be at least two more weeks before they could get it back in - I started looking for alternatives. Called a few other local shops and they were also booked out. I remembered seeing the Velofix van around, went online and booked an appointment for two days later. Velofix was awesome they are prompt, professional, caring and the service was perfect! Mike shows up at our door with his travelling bike fixing van on time and ready to work. He also took the time to show me things I needed to know about maintinaing my bikes. I have had them deliver and assemble a new commuter bike as well as come and do a complete tune up of my old mountain bike. On both occasions I was more than pleased! Imagine knowing so little about bikes that you're intimidated enough to budget for five months to afford getting three bikes fixed {surely this will cost a small fortune}. Imagine telling Trent your front derailleur is bent, but actually - again - you know so little about bikes that the derailleur's not bent, it's a whole different problem. Further imagine asking him about goop instead of slime. From the first phone call with Trent - thank you a million times over - to Mitch coming by and spending a good deal of time on bikes in sad condition, they were so cool. I nearly fell over when the price Mitch gave me for parts and labor was half what I had budgeted; it allowed me to get slime in my daughter's tires. I absolutely have to mention that I don't have a vehicle that will transport one bike very conveniently, let alone three. It would have taken me a good 30 to 40mins to get three bikes one-way to a bike shop {not complaining, just explaining}. These folks come right to your door, and I didn't have to spend another 30 to 40mins bringing my bikes home. Do not hesitate for a moment booking Velofix to get back on your bike. Extraordinarily affordable, extremely efficient, Mitch and Trent are beyond knowledgeable and gracious, there was nothing negative about this experience whatsoever. I am so grateful!
