Communicating what I wanted done was a little challenging, but I think I understand that the paint was cleaned with clay material first to remove all debris, the sealant was applied, and was then polished with a rotary tool. The car looks great, very shiny, and the interior detailing was thorough. The exterior work was $150, and the detail added another $60, which seems quite reasonable, though I am still not clear on exactly what sealant was applied. Subsequently the only problem I noticed was that the driver side mirror still had bug residue on it, and which I cleaned with a wet paper towel, plus some minor surface imperfections in the sealant when I look very closely, but overall looks great.

The issue wasn't the weather. The issue was the lack of communication. A mobile car wash business deals with weather every day. A simple message before the scheduled appointment time would have avoided wasting a potential future lifelong customer's time as this was our first appointment. After I explained that my concern was the lack of communication, I received an "understand" response, but no apology for the lack of notice or communication.
