I've been to this venue for a couple of concerts during the Hawaiian Festivals(Rebel Souljahz and Kapena) but this time it wasn't for a concert, but for Zumbathon-Lucky Zumba 2012. We were not only getting a kick-ass workout for 2 hours straight, but we were also there for a good cause, helping out three square as well. The cost for admission was 5 canned vegetable items per person. After the DROP Studios ladies had us sign waivers, took our canned goods and handed us our Lucky Zumba bracelets, we headed inside. DJ ROB was providing the rockin' beats for the evening, and didn't have any boring song selections during the whole time like some Zumba classes can. The "Cream of the Crop" top Zumba Instructors in Vegas orchestrated this Zumbathon and it was High Energy all the way. One of the familiar faces was Jackie. Some of us may remember her from the Yelp Olympics, and she also teaches Zumba classes at LVAC. Surprisingly, no other LVAC instructors represented(Where was Olga and Joe D.???) The other instructors-Enrique, Teddy, Maria, Megan, and the buff G.I. Joe dude(forgot his name) were from 24 Hour Fitness(at least I think so) Participants and instructors came dressed wearing green for St. Patrick's Day and some even got very creative with their wardrobe even sporting green facial hair! The Zumbathon was broken into high powered segments between instructors so participants could rehydrate and also win raffle items from Staycations and dinners at Silverton, Chippendales and Thunder from Down Under Tickets, Botox Treatments, and the participant that dressed up the "Most St. Patrick's Day" won a pot full of Zumba clothing and accessories. What a workout it was! after the first hour, a few that couldn't hang had already bailed, and the party went on for the 21 and over crowd as there were also cocktails being offered for those who decided to drink !?!?!?! The last segment was in honor of St. Patrick's Day which included a traditional Irish Jig, a blast from the past with House of Pain's "Jump Around", then DJ ROB went FURTHER BACK and we all ended the Zumbathon with "Come On Eileen" from Dexy's Midnight Runners! Finally, a cool-down with "Bruddah Iz", Isreal Kamakawiwoole's "What A Wonderful World" ended the night's festivities. With close to 1,000 participants, well over 4000 pounds of canned goods were recieved and our mission was definitely accomplished.....ALOHA!!! YELP 365 CHALLENGE-(199/365) "ZUMBATHON 2012"

Seating isn't tiered to be able to enjoy a concert. The A/C is on point though! Would be nice to have assigned seats.

Great Venue. We love the size, not a bad seat in the house. This was our second time there and we will be back for more.

I highly recommend the Hyatt Place Las Vegas at Silverton Village for anyone looking for a modern,…read morecomfortable, and quieter alternative to staying directly on the Las Vegas Strip. Located about 6 miles south of the Strip, this newer 3-star hotel offers a more relaxed atmosphere away from the airport flight path, making it noticeably quieter than some other Las Vegas locations. It's also a great value thanks to its free parking and no resort fees. The staff truly make the experience stand out -- everyone was friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout my stay. A unique touch is that the reception desk staff also serve as bartenders at the hotel's 24-hour bar, creating a relaxed and personable atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, modern, and thoughtfully designed, featuring Hyatt's signature Cozy Corner sofa sleepers, mini-fridges, and swiveling HDTVs. The amenities were excellent, including a heated outdoor pool, jacuzzi, 24-hour fitness center, EV charging stations, and complimentary hot breakfast every morning. Another major advantage is the location. The hotel is only a short 5-10 minute walk from Silverton Casino Lodge, where you'll find restaurants, Bass Pro Shops, and the famous 117,000-gallon aquarium. Plus, the Las Vegas Strip is only about a 15-minute drive away, making it easy to enjoy the action while still returning to a peaceful hotel at the end of the day. Overall, this hotel offers an excellent balance of comfort, convenience, value, and service, and I would absolutely stay here again.

There is a small parking lot in front and some street parking around the venue. If you get there early, you can snag a spot there in front. We scored one. Just inside the front doors is a small lobby with a bar that serves a few options for beer, wine, mixed drinks, sodas, and water, along with a few snack options. The bartender was friendly and took care of us quickly. The venue is through another set of doors and seats about 200-250 people. With that size, there isn't a bad seat in the house. We were in the back row of seats and were still only about 100 feet from the stage, if that. There is also a section of bleacher-type seating in the very back. The sound and lighting system were excellent. There is also a room in the back that they use for meet and greets. Again, small bar serving drinks. They also had a charcuterie table set up. I don't know if that was specific to the artist performing that night or a typical offering, but the spread was very nice, offering decorative cups with a small variety of meats and cheeses, along with salted caramel chocolate. There were also cake pops offered. Overall, this is a great venue. I would recommend looking into the shows they have to offer and come check one out!

In an email later, Ashley informs us it's "Force Majeure" and that it would be impractical and impossible for the venue to host our wedding. After I spent about 15 minutes laughing at a non attorney explaining the law to the two of us (two attorneys)and that too incorrectly... I proceeded to freak out. This is bad business and we have been told they are looking to sell the business. I for one will be keeping an eye on this corporation and the officers involved. NO bride and groom should have to go through this while planning their wedding and the damage caused emotionally and financially is unforgivable. Get an ACTUAL attorney to do your work instead of a sales girl hired by daddy. Bad business practice that will follow them.

I…read moreusually have great experiences in most places and give good reviews, but this is a bad review I had to write due to having a bad experience. The food was decent, but the service was really bad, like really bad! Customer Service: The staff was okay. My friends and I went to Sierra Gold around late lunch/early dinner time. The restaurant was honestly really dead, with a few other customers. We were probably the biggest group that went to the restaurant at the time. The food took a while to come, the servers gave one of my friends food earlier than what she wanted, the servers took so long to get us to go boxes that one of my other friends literally went to the bar to get us some. Food/Drinks: Sierra Gold had a good variety of food & drink selections. I ordered the baked soft pretzel bites as my appetizer, and I had pub classics sliders with a side of tater tots. The portion of the pretzel and cheese was huge, so one order is definitely good for at least 2 people. I did appreciate the fact that they had a variety of potatoes as your side, such as the choice of sea salt fries, twister fries, or golden tots. Overall Experience: Overall, I had an okay experience at Sierra Gold. The food and drinks were the best thing about the visit. The service, on the other hand, is not so much, unfortunately. I'm not sure how Sierra Gold can improve as a restaurant & business. Maybe having the servers be more attentive to their customers, especially when it is dead? I hope this review helps Sierra Gold & its current and future customers. Have an amazing day!

I feel like I was here almost once a month for 4 years and it's a venue that I always enjoyed. The merch here was always on the main casino floor and very spacious, while downstairs/the venue itself was pretty darn massive. The main floor was large, the bar area had a ton of room as well as tables, and upstairs had bleacher style seating that sucked when I first started going, but got updated and were super nice by the time I left. I managed to see bands such as Bayside, I Am The Avalanche, Killswitch Engage, Ville Valo, Static-X, Cannibal Corpse, and many many more acts over the years and I wanted to make sure I left this place the positive review I think it deserves. Overall, The House of Blues is a top notch venue and one of the best for alternative music in Las Vegas. Would it be better if it wasn't locatd in the middle of the massive Mandalay Bay Casino? Probably, but the place has great sound, a ton of space, and even some good food to go with it. I'll definitely be back in the future!
