As a Vegas local, being here less than a year (& moving from Miami Beach) I was genuinely worried I want going to get my fix of house music. In comes Terrace Afterhours. Jessica, Brett, & Stephen have done such an amazing job with this venue that it's confusing to recognize that you are on the rooftop of a strip club. Love Hustler by the way. Not only is it great music & great people, it makes me feeling like I'm back in Miami Beach. Drink prices, including bottle service is amazing & honestly where else can you go & pay a maximum admission fee of $10 (subject to change based on talent that is performing). NO WHERE. Oh yes, forgot to mention no lines no velvet rope bullshit & no bad music. If you're an early riser, come check it out or if you're a late nighter, come check it out; or if you're like me, an all around we lol, just show up & I promise if you're into that deep house, afro house, techno beat, you will truly enjoy it! See you on the dancefloor...

Nothing like dancing until the sunrises on a rooftop terrace! Open from 2-8am, I had a great Sunday morning here last week. The entry fee for out of town guests is definitely competitive. We waited a little while at the bar for drinks in the beginning, as it was busy but I wouldn't let that defer you. Definitely a unique experience and great dance music.

It has a very relaxed vibe.. order at the bar, find a seat, sing along! I'm used to karaoke bars that have private rooms, but it's an experience seeing people sing in front of the crowd! My husband and I shared a huge fishbowl cocktail that was deliciously dangerous, but the unexpected star of the show were their fries! I've never seen a potato cut like that and it's something I've never seen - imagine a potato wedge spiral that's not too thick, perfectly crunchy. We got the Parmesan truffle one and the sauce was so good! Cheese curds were also good! Some notes I picked up on.. it looks like you can reserve tables, bathrooms are the public restrooms outside, and it turns into 21 and older after 10 pm. On the Saturday night that we went, they had regular karaoke on stage with the song's music, then they switched over to karaoke with a live band which was pretty cool! We'll definitely be back.. still thinking about those fries!

The live music was amazing. It's too bad this band seems to only perform once or twice a year. Highly recommend them! As for the food - everyone is asked to buy at least $25 worth of food, and I would've paid that just to watch the band so it was a bonus. The food itself though is nothing to rave about. I got a $15 small piece of miso black code hand roll with some vinegar sugar rice wrapped in soy paper. I could've made it at home. The Japanese Mille crepe was decent, and I think not bad for the price. I wish they sold non alcoholic fun drinks (mocktails). I would've spent it on that and a dessert. Outside of the food being average and overpriced, the service was excellent! Our server was so diligent and always refilled our waters whenever it went down. I'd come back if any shows interested me but wouldn't go just for food.

I feel like I was here almost once a month for 4 years and it's a venue that I always enjoyed. The merch here was always on the main casino floor and very spacious, while downstairs/the venue itself was pretty darn massive. The main floor was large, the bar area had a ton of room as well as tables, and upstairs had bleacher style seating that sucked when I first started going, but got updated and were super nice by the time I left. I managed to see bands such as Bayside, I Am The Avalanche, Killswitch Engage, Ville Valo, Static-X, Cannibal Corpse, and many many more acts over the years and I wanted to make sure I left this place the positive review I think it deserves. Overall, The House of Blues is a top notch venue and one of the best for alternative music in Las Vegas. Would it be better if it wasn't locatd in the middle of the massive Mandalay Bay Casino? Probably, but the place has great sound, a ton of space, and even some good food to go with it. I'll definitely be back in the future!

The ticket buying experience was super smooth, and they were very communicative up until the event with info about parking, etc. (free for locals with your show ticket, btw! We arrived about an hour after doors intentionally, so got in without any delay. Everything is set up very well here. You go through standard security, up an escalator, and are met with merch stands for both the venue and artists as well as a few bars. I believe my beer was only $17 for a 24 oz which seemed reasonable compared to other venues in town. We eventually decided to upgrade to a high top table in the back of the venue, which made the show a lot more comfortable, considering there were three openers. It was $200, and seated 4. We were lucky to get the one right in the front, so truly had the best possible view of the stage. This area also came with a server who was okay, but I took a star off considering we didn't see him until the third opener was about to go on, and they did last call after about two songs from the headliner - I didn't feel like we really got to take advantage of having a server. I know they also rent out the bowling lanes, bar seating, and an upstairs standing room area. While the venue itself is larger than I expected, it's still very approachable and intimate. As long as you're okay with standing, there isn't a bad spot in the house, but I thought upgrades were reasonably priced if you'd prefer to sit. Can't wait for my next show here!

She never sat down which is amazing, she did not move a lot as she is aging but the voice, spot on, her heart, so much appreciation for her fans and so grateful to be able to perform all these years and still get a sold out house. She is truly, a beautiful soul inside and out and so gracious. I would definitely go see her again as she sings like an Angel. Such an amazing woman with class and beauty. Smokey Robinson, I saw him a year ago at a different venue, only this time I was front row. One of Motown's best ambassadors ever. There will never be anyone from Motown who is as amazing, gracious and a true performer as Smokey. He is very personal and up close with his fans and is so grateful for each and every person who supports his and loves his music. This man is 86 years old and has the moves of a 50 year old. I wish I could move like him. A 2 hour show and he did not sit down once. He sang, he danced, he controlled that stage and he interacted with the audience. You can feel how genuine this man is and how much he loves to perform. He is one of the GREATS from the Motown era and is so loved. He has performed with so many and his Stevie Wonder impression is awesome as Stevie is one of his closet friends and it so cool they have been around for as long as they have.
