The Service is always consistent. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere feels welcoming every time I come in the drinks are always great. You do have to pay for parking but they have their own private parking, which is nice. There's no food on site but when they have events, I believe they have food trucks that stop by. As for the venue, it sits next to PublicUS and offers good sound plus easy access but terrible ventilation. A non-smoking venue, ignored without consequence by many in attendance, leave it to a couple of assholes "moshing" to prove a nuisance. If security had any balls they'd have tossed 'em after one warning instead of four. That said, if you want smaller bands at smaller venues in this city you have to go out and support, and on 4/18/25 Sparta took the stage at The Usual Space for an exceptional set. While Sparta never achieved the commercial success of The Mars Volta Jim Ward's music has always seemed to carry forward At the Drive-In in its own way. read more

Recently went for a concert and the obnoxious man at the food truck with a megaphone responded to questions about the menu with flipping me off and saying "fuck off" in a bird sound. Then when I tried to have a conversation with him he then (as a way to insinuate I was gay, I'm not) asked if me and my friend were "together". As if that was a sly insult. I did not get any pictures of the venue. I did not even realize what type of place this was until one of my friends from California noticed that they were holding an event here. It is actually a pretty great place to have an event. They do not have food. They do have a full bar. One of the things that we did not realize until we got into the venue is it's very limited on seating so if you want to get seating you have to actually buy tables which we did not realize until after we got in we are older so we for sure wanted to make sure that we purchased table to sit at. read more

Worst gig ever , Do not even spend your money on getting tickets for this place, You get the ticket with days in advance, the show started at 8pm , We arrive at 10 , and they oversold the show and people like me and my friends that have tickets already , they scanned the ticket, stamped my hand and still won't let us in cause the place is full already, why do they over sell the place if they have a max capacity. Came here to see a local band ( close to modern) and this place is just on the outskirts of Fremont street I recommend taking an Uber or cab there cause the streets around there are alittle dark, so the doorman was friendly went in and this place is super clean, decorated well, really nice bar with a vast selection of spirits with one of my favorite tequilas which is hard to find (forteleza) the bartender girl was super cool and made a good drink , plenty of seating and they have a taco truck parked right outside not sure if it's there all the time but it was there when we went l, they have a great sound system! Overall just a really cool bar that doesn't over charge you for a drink and they deejay after the band played was really good too like a dark wave deejay I will be back when I'm back in town if you get a chance check this place out !!!!! read more

My first time in this venue was last night. My husband was playing with his band. The venue itself is pretty decently sized. The sound was very good, you could hear everything from any point in the room. They did have some tables for sitting. One bar and drink prices are fairly cheap, considering it's a bar in downtown Las Vegas. Easy to get to. They have a lot in the back for paid parking. I paid $4 for almost 6 hours, which is a great price considering casinos on strip charge $18 to $24. If hungry, fremont Street is like a 10-minute walk, and there's all sorts of options. I will definitely be back to this venue. It's one of the better options in vegas for sure. read more

A Public Fit Theatre Company has done a major renovation of their theatre which they call The Usual Place. The entire interior has been redone and there is nom need now to know the way into the theatre from the back alley. Instead, the main entrance is on Maryland Parkway. After parking in the lot south of the building, simply walk to Maryland and the entrance is there quite near to the entrance to PublicUS. On entering, there's a ramp that goes slowly to a bit higher level. Check in here if the ticket person is not outside. In this area are the new restrooms which are simply amazing. It's like being in a restroom at the Bellagio. The interior was deliberately left open so a different number of seating options could be done by a director. What a remarkable change from my first production here when it had a lot of machine tool equipment. A Public Fit, thanks to you for the new house! It's superb! read more

Cute spot downtime. I came here for a burlesque show and it didn't disappoint. It's intimate with a bar and good prices. They sell snacks outside which isn't ideal but knowing upfront doesn't hurt when you can eat before or after. Show was great. Dancers, hosts, both great. The show says starts at 7 but that's when doors open. If you want to sit with friends, be sure to arrive at the same time or have one person buy all the tickets. Will be back. Visited this bar for a concert - the Delta Bombers and absolutely loved the venue! The set up is nice, with a bar along the back wall and tables and chairs allowing to sit down for the show or walk up to the stage if you prefer. The staff were friendly and efficient and the ambience was great! The lighting and decor had tiki inspo without being overbearing. The drinks on their menu were really good, my favorite for the evening ending up being their: spring fling!! Soo good! My only wish was that the sound for the bands was a little better, the vocals were very hard to decipher, they seemed a bit muddled, even though the music was loud and clear, I think they just need to work on that balance. Cute little cozy place. Came here for the Orgy concert and had a fabulous time. Appreciated the snacks offered by the bathroom attendant and glad they were all sealed snacks. Wish they had more places to sit. I liked the lounge chairs, especially coming in with back pain, but saw many people sitting along the walls on the floor waiting nearly 4 hours for the opening acts to finish. If they say the show starts at 8, please don't wait till 9 and have people waiting outside till 8:30 to get in. Otherwise nice place with good acoustics. First time seeing Jay live and he did not disappoint. Have to get used to his new band members and their sound on the original music. One star is generous. This place is boring. Friday night and only 3 patrons. DJ was rude and douchey. When I asked if they take requests he pretentiously said "whatever you want we don't have". It wasn't until our waitress that asked them if they take requests explained to us that they only use vinyl records and only have a few to choose from that we understood. Which is fine but for the DJ to be such a douche about it is just not okay. Fine ambiance if the music was better. It was the same D&B beat for the 30 min we were in there with a few filters. Photo booth will not give change and took $5 from me. There are so many other places in DTLV to have a better time. Avoid this place. read more

A Public Fit Theatre Company did a FANTASTIC job in presenting the play entitled, "The Beauty Queen of Leenane." The cast of actors and actresses were very believable and told the story with Broadway professionalism. The entire crew made everything look so real. My mother and I really LOVED it! At the end of the play, a moderator conducted "The Buzz," which is like unto a commentary discussed with the audience, along with the cast and director. I believe "The Buzz" is given at the end of each play by A Public Fit Theatre Company. It is really a wonderful way for the audience to express what they thought of the play and how it made them feel. The Usual Place located in Las Vegas, Nevada is a great place to go to see live theater. The theater is such a rewarding experience because it is live. The Usual Place is a bar. I think people have it confused with the theater company. The bar and theater company are 2 separate entities, although the share some common areas. When you first walk in, you'll notice how spacious the place is. All of the tables are spread out nicely. In the middle of the room you'll find a stage. Surrounding the stage are lounge chairs and tables. Lining the outer portion of the bar are these long beautiful wooden bar tables. Each table easily seats 10 people. The spacing in nice, you'll never feel cramped or crowded in there. The bar is nicely stocked, I saw a few bourbons that I liked. There are several beers on tap. I don't remember them all, but I can recall guiness, pbr, and a brown ale among them. There are also 2 Crokinole boards available to play as well as a pool table. For the uninitiated, Corkinole is an old Canadian board game that is sort of combines shuffleboard and curling onto a tabletop sized board. It's heaps of fun. The decor is warm, pleasant, and very inviting. There will be live music being played a couple of nights a week. If you're looking for a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere to throw back a few and listen to live music, this is the place for you. read more
