Inside the Smith Center

I was able to experience the Las Vegas Philharmonic for the first time. The Smith Center is easy to get to and plenty of parking downtown in the garages right across the street. The building is beautiful inside and out. I had box seats. Great view. There is also a bar to purchase non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails. Highly recommend seeing a show or concert here. Made for a wonderful evening.

Amazing performing art center. Many of the balcony seats all have good views. Multiple bars and concessions to get drinks and snacks before going in. Multiple parking garages around the symphony park for $6-10. Great show and experience.

I absolutely love the Smith Center. It's gorgeous, the staff is friendly, and there's a lot of great seating options. I've sat everywhere from the balcony to just a few rows from the stage in the orchestra section. I can't recall all the shows I've seen but I remember My Fair Lady being the first one and Hamilton being the last. I also remember seeing Tootsie and Six the Musical a few times. The sound has been great every single time. Doors open about an hour before and you first go through security. I then recommend heading to merch if you want some merch and then finding a nice spot to hang out and relax while you wait for the show to start. I can't wait to come back. In just a few years my niece will be old enough to enjoy it as well.

Vegas culture - seeing the Nutcracker

Another enjoyable evening at the Smith Center this time for our holiday tradition of seeing the Nutcracker. This year they returned to allowing you to take your hot cocoa to your seat which was wonderful and allowed you to savor it during the show. The show has been reworked this year. For one, they no longer have the video display which outlines each act of the story and tells you what to expect. For someone who didn't know the story this might make it harder to follow what was going on. They have new sets and costumes as well. Honestly the first half seemed worse than last year while the second half seemed better. Still it was overall an enjoyable night!

Even though I've attended more shows and Broadway production's than I can count over the years at The Smith Center this was my first concert. My Hubs is a longtime Robin Trower fan. Decades of musical mastery, iconic albums and that unmistakable sound that has influenced countless players. A true guitar legend with cheap seat prices- 2 tickets please! Hearing him play live in such an intimate, high-quality setting was something special. All in all, The Smith Center delivered a fantastic concert experience that was smoke free with comfortable seating and sonically outstanding. An always helpful staff with great bartenders and small bites. I'm already looking forward to my next show!

The Smith Center is truly a beloved cultural hub in Las Vegas. The building itself is beautiful, with elegant architecture that makes the entire experience feel special from the moment you arrive. The venue is well run, clean, and organized, and the staff is friendly and helpful, which makes getting in and seated smooth even on busy show nights. The performances are consistently memorable, whether you're seeing Broadway productions, ballet, concerts, or special events. The sound quality is excellent, and most seats offer a great view of the stage, though choosing seats wisely definitely enhances the experience. It's a refreshing alternative to typical Strip entertainment and perfect for date nights, family outings, or a cultural night out. Parking can take a little extra time during peak events, so arriving early is a good idea, but overall it's absolutely worth the visit. The Smith Center continues to be one of the best places in Vegas to enjoy live performing arts. Note: no outside food or drinks

I was shocked to see I've never written a review for one of my favorite places to be in the city! I have been coming to The Smith Center since my first show (The Book of Mormon) in 2014. First, this place is beautiful! There's a parking garage right across which is usually $6. The area has developed so much over the years, so there's a few businesses around. Second, the staff is always so kind. Whether it's the ticket checkers, security, ushers, or bar staff, we have never had a bad time. We have been to a number of shows over the years and have sat in many different areas. Typically we try to keep it to the lower level of the gallery, but lately we've been going for the dress circle. We just saw The Lion King in the 2nd row center of the dress circle and it was perfect! The view is great, you can still see everything going on, and it's not as pricey as the lower seats and not as high as the upper seats. I've also been here a number of times for the Disney in Schools program and to see the Las Vegas Philharmonic, so I've been in the lower sections for those. I was also lucky enough to get moved to the lower section for Six (squeal!!!). If I could swing it every time, I definitely would sit there. But I think the more tiered seating of the upper levels makes it better for view when there's people in front of you (I'm kinda short). I absolutely love The Smith Center. Their Broadway series programming is always on point, there's typically at least 1 show that I want to see each year. My husband and I have said that we will do the pass for multiple shows one year, just haven't had anything to entice me yet. Not only do they do the Broadway series, but they stage local theater as well. I've seen local shows here, live music, dance, educational presentations, etc. There's so much to offer here and I'm so happy they have been so successful!

Saturday night went to see the NEW Nutcracker. Seeing the Nutcracker has become a family tradition. The Smiths Center is so beautiful & just a special place. The ballet now has a live orchestra, new costumes and lighting. I mean it has really been upgraded. I love the old one but this one you have to see!! You aren't allowed to take video or pictures during the show so you will have to go check it out. See my pics of Maddy and me

We saw the Shen Yun show a few weeks ago. The venue was gorgeous and the show was nice. We will definitively return for other shows. Be early as parking is a bit crazy with lots of construction in the area leading to the parking garage.

The Smith Center is like no other venue in Las Vegas. It is a cultural epicenter for the arts. Most recently we saw A Beautiful Noise. Getting in and out can get busy closer to showtime. We typically arrive when the doors open and enjoy a cocktail before the show and make use of their lounge area, which makes parking a breeze. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house but I recommend binoculars if you're seated in the balcony in order to see facial expressions. The staff is friendly and accommodating. As of this review guest are allowed to bring an empty clear bottle for water. There are water fill stations inside. Drink prices are typical for the area with a double rum and coke going for $17. Parking is $6.

The Smith Center is the premier place to see a theater show in Las Vegas! The building is a beautiful Art Deco style with amazing architectural detail. The staff are polite and helpful. They generally have cash bars available to get drinks before the shows and at intermissions. We were fortunate to get tickets for Hamilton. The production was great. However, the staff we interacted with made this experience great!

Always a fun and memorable time at the Smith Center. This time my wife and I attended Romeo and Juliet in October on opening night. The seats where in the Dress Circle level and in the far back right in the middle of the theater. The view was perfect and the production was great. My wife enjoyed it was well and look forward to our next show.

I did my due diligence and researched whether or not photography was ok. https://www.cirquedusoleil.com/usa/las-vegas/o/buy-tickets The website stated that pocket sized cameras and cellphones were ok. Upon arrival, I double checked with the staff, "IS CELLPHONE PHOTOGRAPHY DURING THE SHOW OK?" Both staff said "Yes, just no video and no flash." Tell me why both of these staffs were the ones going around telling people to put their devices away during the show even though many people were only taking pictures? :| (I will say, once I saw they started picking on people about photography at the very beginning, I didn't bother trying to take pics myself - so yay didn't get publicly shamed LMAO) The show itself was incredible but the staff and their terrible communication and then shining their lights and calling out guests for taking photos was most definitely not nice in any way. I think it's ridiculous to say "We encourage photos" on the website and then have their staff go and pick on rule following show attendees. Organizers need to make up their minds on the photo policy and train their staff accordingly.

I've seen this show twice, once opening night and then again in October 2023. I was in the first row stage left the first time, and the second row dead center the second time. The first time my view was blocked by a woman with very curly, poofy hair. The second time my view was blocked by everyone seated at the cocktail tables. The Duomo is a horrible venue because the seats are neither staggered nor graduated like stadium seating. The stage isn't high enough above the seating to give everyone a good view. I've seen X Country at Harrah's, Fantasy at Luxor, and Red Velvet Burlesque at Notoriety downtown - all of them have different seating and stage configurations for this sort of show, but you can actually see the performers. This show needs a different venue. They have Julia Flypole doing arial hoop work but it's like a 7 or 8 foot ceiling from the stage to the top. She also performs in Red Velvet Burlesque and her routine is from a silk that is easily two stories long. It's just not the same effect doing acrobatics and arial pole in such a short room. The show is a mix of singing and burlesque dancing set to rock-esque type music. There is no nudity in this show. Everyone has pasties on in addition to bra tops, unlike other showgirl burlesque shows. While it's obviously 18+ because it's burlesque, nothing is too risque, except the bathtub dance is a bit over the top raunchy for my taste. The dancing is good. The costuming is good. The singer actually has a good voice. The only problem is the venue is garbage and not a good fit for this show. There is limited audience participation in this show. The Tandoori chicken tacos were ok but needed the missing pickles/pickled onions, same with the mushroom tacos. There was plenty of meat and mushrooms on the tacos for the regular price of $22. I noticed Al Mancini, a local food reviewer was there. I guess they were only concerned about his food. I did tell one of the servers at the bar about the missing ingredients. The mini doughnuts were ok. When I first got the bill it was wrong (extra item added). On the second bill the tacos were taken off. I appreciated that but hadn't asked. Even more disappointing was that there were quite a few empty seats on the main level, and it would have made for an even better show if we had been given the opportunity to move forward like we did at OPM, another Spiegelworld show that used to run at Cosmopolitan.

There is nothing in town that compares to it, when it comes to value and level of performance, it is an incredible production where the theatre is not too big, but the stage is semicircular with 3D background on large screen, and the projections are so well incorporated into acts, so it gives the impression that it is one large theatre. I love the closeness to the performers, everything happening right in front of your very eyes... It is so much fun for children and adults! Performers are so adorable, acts changing quickly, there is even water on the stage! What an incredible production of Titanic story; gives me chills every time I see it! This one show represents the good old Vegas variety show and brings some nostalgia ... Do not miss it!

So hear me out, this was a good show. Not bad, not the worse. But I was entertained!…read more It was a more intimate cirque show because the stage close to the audience. The stunts were really cool too. Had a nice variety of acts, production was decent. The only reason it got a 3 star was because the intermission guy, this goofy guy trope. Who just takes it over the top, which makes it seem cringey. If they replace him, or his character I would bump up my rating. Overall, it was good show, worth a watch, just don't pay full price!
