I was there at 8.30ish and compared to cafes in Stockholm (or other large Swedish cities) it was quite empty. Giving the impression that Germans seem less keen on having breakfasts out. The different breakfasts I chose were really lovely in their own way. No1 was coffee of choice, freshly squeezed orange juice and breadroll with hummus and marinated artichokes. Lots of flavours and very very filling so lunch wasn't really an option that day. The no2 breakfast on the menu was coffee of choice, fresh juice and fruit muesli with non-dairy milk products of choice. Nice and breakfasty as expected. Unfortunately the coffee was the only negative both days, most cafes that use soy milk in Germany do it very well, Huber doesn't quite master the art and the soy cappuccino resp latte had an unfortunate soy tang. (Different baristas.) I would have loved to try their lunch options too, but time didn't permit. Also beware that the kitchen is open in the middle of the cafe and the ventilation isn't very effective. Your clothes and hair will most likely smell of fried onion and cabbage when you leave the place after breakfast. Friendly staff. Cash only.

So those criteria ruled out most of the remaining restaurants that were open. Fortunately, thanks to Yelp, we discovered Karma right across the street from the cinema where we would be attending a movie (Star Wars, if you care) later in the evening. What a treat (both Karma and Star Wars)! Anyhow, the atmosphere is a good blend of nice and casual. We were wearing jeans, headed to the cinema; other patrons were dressed more nicely, headed to the theatre. We were all comfortable. The menu is quite extensive, and is offered in German and English. While there is a plethora of a la carte options available, we chose the Menu for Two which included a Chicken Pakora appetizer, Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Curry as main courses, rice, Raita and Naan Bread, and a dessert, all for €45. We could not have been more pleased with the choice, though everything else ordered by the people around us also looked outstanding. Most main dishes on the menu are around €15 (vegetarian dishes are a bit cheaper) so we felt like our deal offered a good value, including an appetizer and dessert). Some dishes were delivered to neighboring tables on sizzling platters. Our two curry dishes were served in copper vessels, kept warm atop stands with tea light candles, a nice touch. The Chicken Tikka Masala was particularly good and the sauce was just perfect with the right amount of spice. This is a place we will definitely return and we also intend to explore the other Asian restaurants nearby. Highly recommended!

For a healthy/vegan centered restaurant, the portion size wasn't particularly filling and had I not added the tomatoes and olives, it would have been basically just greens. Also, everything was sooooo salty and this is coming from a girl who normally eats salad with her salt if you know what I mean. The rest of the party was also unimpressed with the severely crunchy, almost impossible to bite into bread and cream cheese. I don't know, it just didn't really work. Three stars because it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't a place I'd take a carnivorous friend that I was trying to impress with delicious and nutritious vegan/vegetarian food. The falafel was SO GOOD and I'm a total falafel snob. It was light, fluffy, and not too crispy. The flavor was amazing and authentic. The salad with the pickled cabbage was delicious and I mixed in some of the yogurt dressing into my salad and it tasted like I was eating a doner but without the extra carbs! The rest of the party has the lamb doner as wraps and the lamb skewers with bulgar wheat. Everyone was impressed. The portions were HUGE and the flavors all melded together perfectly. My mom is VERY picky when it comes to lamb and she won't touch it if she thinks it smells and she was very happy with her wrap. I would highly recommend this place for some really delicious food. Also, they have an upstairs seating area which is great because there is never enough seating around these parts of town. My belly is happy :)
