I've tried this salon three separate times. Twice for dip and once for acrylic with gel. There is a particular lady who I've worked with during two of the three occasions who I feel rushed through her work and lacks attention to detail. This most recent time, she started me and then let me soak for FORTY minutes after another lady had come in after me and asked for a pedi. Mind you, I had called ahead and mad an appointment. The sides of the nail are typically not painted/dipped all the way and there are occasionally blemishes on the actual dip/get itself. The last time I went I did acrylic with dip. The acrylic itself was bumpy and uneven but not extremely apparent at first glance, only under close inspection. I requested shorter nails on several occasions during which they badgered me about so I decided to not die on that hill. As shown in the picture (the darker set) is not even 24 hours after they were done. My cuticles were hardly trimmed or manicured which is to be expected during a manicure. No lotion or hand massage during 2/3 occasions, so apparently they pick and choose when they do that service. My fingers were coated in acetone (not pictured) Bc she had let me sit there for 40 minutes. Not even 12 hours after I had them done, the top layer of gel pealed off my index finger as seen in the picture. When I went back, the very next day mind you, the aforementioned employee was very rude to me about my request to fix the polish. Rather than remove the shredded and scuffed gel that remained, they decided to just paint over it, which again, they rushed through. After four coats, it did turn out fine, but still visibly bumpy. If they were on the cheaper side I wouldn't mind so much but I paid 60 dollars to have this done. I wanted to give a fair chance, but I will not be returning. Two of the three nails jobs are pictured below.
The lighter nail picture is powder on my real nail which was very transparent. That is the risk you run with dip but they will not warn you that this may happen.
