The nice thing is, I had changed my mind a bit since showing the initial proof to Zion Tattoo when I initially booked. Travis was totally fine with it and adjusted to my wants. I also appreciated how he added his input on my ideas to ensure they looked good upon completion. I was there for about 45 minutes, everything was fast and inclusive. It was an amazing experience in a clean and comfortable environment and I appreciated how Travis kept checking in with me to make sure I was doing alright and was just very personable. Mio put two different stencils on at LEAST seven times instead of just resizing and drawing, then proceeded to just make the tattoo misshapen, with poor linework and shading. And all of this happened after finishing the (incorrect) stencil way past our agreed-upon start time. Not saying someone can't make mistakes, but if you have a week to prepare and all the time you need to put the stencil on correctly, you should.

Shop was clean, Brandon did a good job on educating me about modern piercing protocols. Discussed my likes/dislikes, placement, aftercare, jewelry options, etc. I pretty much knew what I wanted when I came in the door, so it was easy for both of us. Brandon and I discussed scar tissue from previous piercings, he marked the spot he thought would be best. I verified the spot, picked a hoop, and Brandon got 'er done in no time flat! Ultimately - we decided to check out other shops in the area and found Grey Duck which ended up being best case scenario! We walked in and were helped immediately by Angel (@angelmontoyatattoos) who was able to get all three of us in for our sister tattoos at $100 a piece! He was kind, laidback, and incredibly patient which I really appreciated. Getting a tattoo is a lifelong commitment and having an artist who says things like "I will re-stencil as many times as we need to get it perfect so take your time and make sure you love the placement!" is SO important. Especially because my sisters are younger I love that they felt comfortable and empowered to make every decision they needed to without pressure! Shop was clean, the vibes were on point, we had a blast, and we left loving the work we got done! I truly couldn't ask for a better walk-in experience.
