It was a nice modern suite with a kitchen, all modern appliances, pots and pens, utensils everything you could possibly need in a case you decide to stay in for a meal. It was very pretty, but also very homey. We used the garage, and had no problem with it. There is still some construction in the area and in front of the entrance, but we used the car to get in and out, so it didn't affect us at all.

I really enjoyed my stay at Soho Champagne! This hotel is inside a condo building, and rather than…read morejust having a room you have an entire suite including a full kitchen (stocked with any cookware you'd need) and a separate bedroom. The interior was nicely decorated, modern, bright, and quite spacious. There were many luxurious aspects to this place: Lagostina cookware, Aveda soaps/shampoos/conditioners, Smart TVs in the living room and bathroom, a rain shower head (plus a movable shower head if a rain shower isn't your thing), en-suite laundry, a movie room and gym (of course these were closed due to the pandemic), even a little balcony. The concierge wasn't in at the time of our arrival and check-in was seamless. Soho Champagne communicated with me prior to check-in to ensure all my questions were answered. Plus, this place is conveniently located near Little Italy and Chinatown. I wished that we were able to stay longer. There are 3 reasons that I knocked off a star. Before I get into these, I'll mention that I was given a number to call if I had any problems with the room, but I didn't think any of the problems were worth calling about. First, the remote to open the garage didn't work from inside the car (maybe low/no battery?) and I had to get out of the car each time to get the garage door to open. Second, upon check-in I took a shower and there were 2 long and noticeable hairs stuck to the wall of the shower. Finally, I could not for the life of me get the TV in the bedroom to work. For the price of the room, I'd expect a bit more attention to detail in these areas. All in all, we had an amazing time and would definitely stay at Soho Champagne again.

I appreciate everything that was done for us and I would definitely recommend this to family, friends, yelp users and anybody looking to find a very peaceful place with attentive and helpful hosts. They even make you feel like at home before you get to Canada! Very professional and respectful. This is the type of place you would go back to just because of how well you were treated! The well kept room was fully stocked; towels, fridge, snacks, robes and shampoo/conditioner in bathroom, private deck, lots of privacy, among other things. They advise you where to go eat and even get you a discount at some restaurants, they have a tiki bar with speakers, a hammock, spacy yard setup (great for kids), etc. There are restaurants and bars walking distance so no need to worry about drinking and driving. They go out of their way to make you feel like at home. All in all I would recommend this to anybody looking to have a great getaway and as I write this I am debating what day I should come back to this beautiful place! Also, if you are into bungee jumping they help you schedule your jump at Great Canadian Bungee (4.6 stars) and help you save money by discounting the price if you stay here and do the jump!

I went to a Gala Dinner at the Infinity Convention Centre recently. While the place was modern and…read moreclean looking, and the service was very good, the food fell short of my expectations. The function occupied Salon B&C, which I would say would fit about 400 people. The chandeliers were beautiful and there was a pretty water structure in the lobby that served as a nice backdrop for photos. We had a four course meal. The first course was a roasted tomato bisque. I ate one spoonful and gave the rest to my husband (and he ate it not because he thought it was delicious, but because he was incredibly hungry (as was I, but my actions were still as such)). I found the soup incredibly watery and the texture was not smooth. It tasted to me like watered down pasta sauce. Fortunately, the food got better from there. The second course was a salad which consisted of mixed greens wrapped in cucumber slices, with olives, grape tomatoes, mini bocconcini cheese balls, and croutons. The presentation was interesting with the salad wrapped in the cucumber. I still don't know how they kept it together because there was no toothpick. The taste was satisfactory. The dressing was a little too oily with not enough flavour in my opinion. However, the vegetables were fresh. The main course was a Tandoori chicken breast with basmati rice and roasted vegetables, with raita on top. I found the rice on the dry side, and the vegetables (zucchini, squash, and sweet potato) not particularly flavourful. The chicken had a mild tandoori taste to it, and I appreciated that it was de-boned, save for the wing drumette. The chicken was moist, so at least it wasn't dry. The dessert was my favourite course. It was a chocolate hazelnut mousse with meringue and half a strawberry. The mousse was rich and creamy and the meringue was fluffy and delicious. The servers were all very good and competent. This convention centre is by the airport and surrounded by many hotels. I think the location is convenient for events where attendees may be flying in and staying near the airport. There is free parking in their private parking lot.

The only downside to the night was that a wedding beside ours were not following the rules for outside equipment and when loud music could be played, which put a huge damper on the speeches as no one could hear them.

The front desk staff were all friendly and fluently bilingual. The checked us in, got us to our room and that's when things got better. The hotel is also perfectly located to be able to walk to town within about 10 minutes so it was very convenient for us. We had reservations for breakfast and one dinner at their restaurant. The food at this place isn't good. It isn't even great. It is one of the best places we've ever eaten at. The 5 course dinner menu is probably one of the best we've ever had - this was as good as any place we visited in New York, New Orleans, some of the killers we visited in Victoria......... trust me, you will be blown away by the food, both breakfast and dinner. One afternoon my wife was getting ready so I went down to the bar for a quick drink and it was fantastic - great conversations with the bartender, the other guests who were all in a good mood, and great cocktails. Great service, friendly staff, this place does it all. All in all, I can only give this place 5 stars but it deserves at least 6. We will be back for sure.

We stopped for a late lunch on Boxing Day after visiting with friends who live about 30 minutes further away from Ottawa. We were seated at a table overlooking the mill stream. The room was warm and welcoming on a snowy day. The waitress was charming in two languages. The menu was tempting. And the food was both presented beautifully and was fantastic. We shared paté de foie gras as a starter. My friend had a salad with magret de canard. I had a small steak with winter vegetables. Both were excellent but the magret was both more beautiful on the plate and tastier. We even ended up chatting with the lovely people at the next table who were celebrating a round birthday. If you're in Ottawa, make the trip to Wakefield. And let me know if you bump into Inspector Gamache.
