We contacted several transportation companies within the Ottawa area before making our decision to use this vendor. Abdul and his team at A-List Charters were the most budget conscious and accommodating. As with most events, unexpected needs do come up at the last minute. We had originally needed two shuttles for twenty guests however that number doubled three days before our wedding. Abdul worked with us to provide the necessary transportation to help get our guests on time, to and from our wedding. We received feedback soon afterward from many of them on how comfortable their experience was. Our wedding couldn't have been as successful as it was without you Abdul. Thanks - Darryl

I was in Montreal on the weekend. I ordered an Uber and paid an extra $8 for a priority pick up…read more Uber's routing system is messed up. Uber directed the driver to drive past me, go 6 blocks the wrong way in rush hour traffic and then turn around to come get me. It was 20 minutes before the driver picked me up. I was livid. The driver told me that Uber requires him to follow weird convoluted routes sometimes and if he doesn't do it, they send him nasty emails. I complained to Uber about their routing and requested a refund for the $8 for the fast pickup. Uber customer service said the pricing was correct, tried to tell me that I should give the driver a poor review, did not take responsibility for their role, and told me my issue was resolved. I've used Uber for awhile and this the first time something like this has happened. I'm unimpressed with how they dealt with and will reconsider using Uber in the future.

My first uber ride ever was done here in Ottawa, Canada. I had arrived here knowing that they…read morearen't allowed to do airport pick ups, so I intentionally had to walk 2km to the Hilton Garden Inn hotel to request the ride. True story. I had downloaded the app many months ago but held off trying uber until this trip. After trying to put in the credit card information in the app, I found out to be very very easy to use. I found the app to be very useful and very streamlined to the point where I just have to pick my location and let the driver know that I'm there. Uber and it's competition Lyft, is changing the way we do taxi services in the US and Canada. Although there are many assists is where politicians and government it do not like these companies from operating because of taxi lobbies against Uber, Lyft, and other ride share companies, I am glad that someone got the idea to come up with the idea for ridesharing services. It's a pretty cool idea and I like it very much. The overall experience of my first ride was very cool and I recommend it to anyone who needs ridesharing services. Taxis are just overpriced. I had some first time nerves using the app for the first time, I feel very much at ease now that I have an alternate way of getting around if I need it. Once I put on the pin and knew exactly where I wanted the driver to be I felt confident in my decision. However when the driver started to say that he was here (and i didn't see him) I kind of panicked. I quickly messaged him and everything was OK and I got to ride my first Uber. It was great. It was almost like catching a ride with a friend, but you'd pay less a lot less when you compare it to taxi services for sure. I guess that's why Uber and Lyft were created - to give more people choices rather than renting cars and taxis. My Uber driver was very friendly and we made small talk along the way. It was nice for him to guide me through the process of my first time using uber. Once the ride was done, he finished the ride and I got to rate him - out of 5 stars. There is no actual money that changed hands, although you could actually tip the driver in currency, if you decide on doing that too. Regardless of how I initially thought uber was and heard about in the news media, it's a great service - at least in the eyes of passengers. I'm not sure about being a driver, but that's not what this review is about. This uber driver's car was nice and maintained. I sat in the front seat and we had GPS to guide me to my final destination. It felt really nice not having to pay a lot for a taxi, which uber and Lyft is a fraction of what the taxi will charge you. It's crazy how taxi cabs can get away with. Kind of a rip off - at least with the tourists. My ride with uber costed $22 CAD compared to $42 with a taxi. My destination was in Gatineau, which I learned that neither Lyft nor Uber doesn't go, since it's in Quebec. So I had to get a taxi to go back to the airport to pick up my rental car. Ugh, that's harsh, but what can you do?! 5 stars for Uber! It's the great alternative to taxi cabs for sure. Support local! A++
