Drove up from Phoenix for work. My 2008 Ford Edge overheated and gave out just as I pulled up to the resort. I'd heard plenty of stories of tourists getting price gouged by Vegas businesses so I was more than cautious. After research, Motor City Auto Care came up strong with lots of 5 star reviews. I decided to drive it there with my colleague who is well versed in engines. Bobby told me he'd let me know the diagnosis asap and a fair price estimate. He contacted me before end of first day with a thorough review of everything that was wrong (I asked him to do a thorough review since it hadn't been worked on for the year since I'd owned it and I needed to drive it back within a few days). It was a pretty extensive list, including dismantling the entire engine to get to the parts that needed replaced. He also gave me a list of recommended-but-not-imperative things to be replaced. Then the next day he called back to add my AC was completely out and needed a new compressor - which I already knew was going out. My mechanic friend agreed with Bobby's assessment all the repairs annd told him to do the whole list. That night my friend estimated what a fair price range would be that I should expect to pay. I was basically holding my breath thinking it was surely come in high. Not only did Bobby's invoice not gouge me, but to our astonishment, the price came in more than $1000 LESS than what we expected! When I picked up the car, he had every part laid out on a work bench to visually show me what he replaced and why. I will report them to Better Business Bureau they ripped off alot of customers.
