I've been a fan of Veganics for years. Primarily a catering business whipping up all types of vegan magic for special (and casual) events I've also been lucky enough to catch a few of their pop-ups. They never disappoint. From vegan sushi to vegan broccoli cheddar mini quiches. Lasagna to cupcakes to cookies. Shepard's pie to cashew cheeze balls to salads to fake fish tacos to.. OK, I'll stop. You get it. These cats can make it ALL. I barely scratched the surface. The masters behind this operation can and will help you figure out whatever you're looking to plan for a menu. Healthy hippie vegan? Check. Decadent, sugary, dessert filled vegan goodness? Check. Comfort food style vegan pastas and burritos and sliders? Check, check, check. Emily and Doug run this ship and they run it well. The food industry can be such a stressful environment but these two are always chill, they're always nice, and I guarantee they'll cater this shit out of your next shindig... whenever that may be. Speaking of shindigs being on hiatus due to the current crisis we're all working through I think it's important now more than ever to support your local food crews. My lady and I are taking out pizza. We're getting Thai to go. Pasta? Let's get it. All with appropriate handling and care at home of course. And I learned just last week that right now Veganics is whipping up weekly menus for pickup and delivery which they post on IG for easy ordering. Two days ago my wife and I straight up WRECKED some jasmine coconut rice with tofu, stir fried veggies with tempeh and rice, some split pea soup, all ended with a perfect rice crispy treat. YUM. All those capital letters were intentional. @veganics, check them out. Like I said, I've been tapping into their food wizardry for awhile now but the weekly posted menu is a must-see because lets face it, we're all cooking a lot and that's great, but I know we miss that good take-out vibe in our home and I'm guessing you do to. Anyway, now's your chance. Once the world goes back to "normal" (whatever the fuck that means) Veganics will be back on that special day-private event-wedding-Oscar party-beach side celebration schedule so I'd get a taste of their pick-up menu while you can. Look at the reviews and their IG, they don't lie. And if you miss this review or are staying safe 100% on lock at home I totally get it, but definitely flag Veganics for those parties we'll someday be experiencing again. We hired Veganics Catering for our wedding on October 25th. My wife and I have been vegan for years and wanted to have a 100% vegan wedding. As we searched for caterers for our event, we kept running into the same issue: the vegan options from other caterers were few and far between and were almost always uninspired dishes like unseasoned quinoa stuffed bell peppers. Then we found Veganics Catering. Emily's menu options are all amazing and we ended up with a wonderful mix of food that our largely non-vegan guests loved. No one was missing meat when they were eating the Jackfruit BBQ sliders and everyone loved the seitan and veggie fajitas. Veganics is a wonderful catering company and I strongly recommend them to anyone wanting to serve a vegan meal to non-vegan guests. Veganics was the caterer for my daughter's wedding shower in 2021, and the experience was so positive that I asked them to cater her baby shower this year! In both cases, the food was delicious and the service was impressive from start to finish. I have hosted and attended several catered events, and I am sure Veganics provided the best food and service I have experienced. Emily is a great communicator and never gave me a moment's worry. Gosh I honestly don't even know where to start with this review! Emily and her boyfriend Doug do an amazing job of preparing and feeding people righteous and super delectable VEGAN food. I met her 9 years ago when I read "The China Study," and decided to become vegan overnight. I didn't really know what I was doing, so I hired a dietician, a raw vegan health coach, and Emily. Emily was the most helpful of them all. This was 9 years ago, so being vegan wasn't trendy, and honestly I didn't have the resources everyone has today. I was looking for a personal shopper to shop for my ingredients twice a week at the local Santa Monica farmers markets (when I lived in LA), but ended up hiring Emily as my personal chef. Side Note: At the time I was running a green cleaning maid service business and training for a marathon. I was not just busy but I was BUUUSSSYYYYY. I am super thankful for Emily's services, because not only did I go vegan, I decided to become raw vegan first. She literally prepped 5 meals a day for me everyday for almost a year. I would pick up my packaged meals in BPA free glass, each night or morning, and they were always beautifully prepared with organic local ingredients. Beyond her immaculate food prep, this woman (and Doug) put so much passion into making food. She is not just an advocate for veganism, but an advocate for health. I used Veganics Catering for a surprise birthday party for my husband last weekend and it was a huge hit! I recently went to a friend's birthday party and was surprised (and delighted) that he had hired a caterer for the occasion. Not just any caterer though. The nom-noms prepared by Veganics (aka Emily & Doug) were SO. De. Lish. Us! I had no idea until after the meal that I was even eating vegan food. That's how amazing it was (no offense vegan people). The tomato pesto crustinis they prepared were definitely my #1 pick, followed by an amazing selection of chocolate truffles with fruit topping. The visual representation of their food was professional and their demeanor was warm and gentle. The boyfriend had his 30th birthday party and decided to go with a Vegan menu.. at first I was not happy with this decision.. I LOVE Meat. But when he told me he was thinking of asking Emily and Doug from Veganics to Cater for the Big Event, I thought OK.. that's not such a bad Idea.. We have been very fortunate to taste their delicious food on a different occasion. So the Menu: Sweet Potato Black Bean Quesadilla (5 Stars) my favorite dish of the night. Sun-dried Tomato and Kalamata Olive Pizzadillas (5 stars) and I'm not a fan of olives. Tomato Pesto Crustinis (5 stars) 2nd favorite dish of the night. Cashew Cheeze Balls w/ arugula and rye (5 stars) Delicious and the BEST part:: Assorted Chocolate Truffles (raspberry, peanut butter, coconut) (10 stars) by far the best part of the evening.. I ordered Vegan Cupcakes for my daughter's Birthday and I was truly blown away! The order was placed the day before and I could not have been happier! Even on short notice, Emily got the perfect decorations that matched her birthday theme. The cupcakes went to school with my daughter and the kids and teachers gave rave reviews! It may sound silly, but the packaging was impeccable! 24 Cupcakes in a box with an insert to keep them safe and finger holes to reach in and grab them. It was a Great Presentation and Super Convenient! Lucky for me, there were two leftover cupcakes , so I got my chance the next day and the cupcake was still Amazing! The best!!! I've used Veganics off and on over the last 3 years here in Los Angeles. I love them and when my friends get to try their food they are always blown away! I've hired their vegan catering services for my parties, and even hired Emily to cook ALL my food when I went 100% vegan for 4 months. She was great at being able to take my dietary requirements, down to # of grams of protein and # of calories...and building a menu around that, which tasted delicious and gave me what I needed for my hard workouts in the gym. Veganics was the perfect choice for our all-vegan wedding. Emily & Doug were incredibly flexible while we planned the menu. It was great to have someone to take our basic ideas and flesh them out into such an excellent meal. Not only was the final menu 100% vegan & organic, but also gluten-free, sugar-free and corn-free to accommodate our and our guests' dietary restrictions. The first private tasting they did for us absolutely blew us away, and it was definitely worth doing to fine-tune the menu. Even though they were busy in the months leading up to our wedding, they made time for us to have a second tasting, too. Due to the venue we chose, the kitchen was a bit small, but they worked their magic and made everything turn out wonderfully.
