I can't even begin to describe how amazing my experience with Veejay was!!!!!!!! When I decided to get married in the Philippines, I knew I wanted a local designer. I reached out to her - she was in SF at the time - but it so worked out that she was in Glendale, CA for the weekend. I made every effort to meet her!!!!!! We met for coffee at the Americana and the rest was history. The minute she opened her design studio to LA, I was in for my fitting. We discussed what I liked, disliked etc. I knew I wanted a fusion of some of her previous designs / something I had tried on at store. She honestly made it happen. I literally tried on my FINAL dress the week before my wedding. Unheard of right? But being abroad in the States, I knew it would be hard to get fittings in. In April 2017 I was in Manila for wedding preps and was able to go to her studio in Makati City and have my base fitting with her absolutely sweet mother Tita Dory. Fast forward to December 2017. Upon arrival to Manila I was able to schedule 2 fittings before the big day and Tita Dory and her team were able to make all the needed alterations. Veejay's professionalism showed and I was never stressed about my dress. It was perfect, exactly what I wanted and I can honestly say I gained a new friend in the process. I can honestly say I didn't know what I wanted in a wedding dress, but her talent really came out when she delivered exactly what was meant for me to wear on my wedding day!!!!! My sister introduced me to ate Veejay since they were old acquainences in the Philippines. And wow am I so glad she did! I was never the kind of girl who had dreamed of her wedding so I didn't even know where to start. But ate Veejay was so understanding and really helped guide me through the whole process of designing my custom wedding dress. I started this process in the middle of the pandemic, so all our meetings were done remotely. I sent her some inspo pics of dresses I liked and based on my everyday style and preferences she created some designs that would fit the elements I wanted in my dress and my style. Then we did the fitting (all through video call!) and when she mailed me my dress for the first fitting it fit so perfectly!!! I was so amazed and knew my dress was in the best hands. She sent over samples of the materials and lace so I could choose which color and material for the dress before making it. She also included a veil so the material would match the dress. I wasn't planning on using a veil but last minute I changed my mind and I'm so glad I did because it just tied the whole thing together I didn't even specify a style for the veil since I didn't want it at first, but it matched the style of my dress perfectly. She worked with my budget and the whole process was so smooth and easy. The day of my dress was so beautiful and comfortable too (the most important part!).
