Excellent in EVERY way!…read more Yesterday, I fractured my front tooth. I called Dr. McCarthy's office and was offered an 8:15am appointment today. I live about 10 minutes away from the office, so I left with time to spare. I did not realize that I would encounter a detour that resulted in me being 20 minutes late for my appointment. I called ahead to alert the office and received a warm greeting; "That is fine, I will let the doctor know." I went to the appointment and I no more than sat in my chair when I was called back. As I walked to the treatment room, several employees said hello and called me by name. (Grant it I'm not a frequent flyer at the office, I normally show up every six months.) I sat in the chair and within a minute Dr. McCarthy came in with a smile to say hello and asked how my husband was doing. (My husband is also a patient.) Dr. McCarthy went straight to the procedure and within 15 minutes, I was finished. He explained what he had done and what to expect, but he also went on to say that we have patched the tooth before and we may want to consider a more long term solution. He offered to go ahead with impressions so if I decided to move forward with the long term solution, I would not have to come back to the office. As I was leaving, his wife (who is also a dentist at the practice) yelled goodbye down the hallway and called me by name. From start to finish, I felt that I was part of a family. They made me feel welcome, no matter if I was late for the appointment. Everyone from start to finish made me feel that I was the most important part of their day. Every office should strive for this type of customer service. I have nothing but great things to say this office and highly recommend them.

They took my insurance card, did the work including x rays and a filling that fell out and sent me…read morea bill that covered next to nothing because they were out of network and never told me. They also sent me to a periodontist who examined me and then gave me an estimate to do the work and also sent me a bill that barely covered anything. The whole ordeal cost me thousands. I called my insurance company who gave me a list of Cigna providers and used that provider who examined for the 3rd time between the Dr. Skilling and then Dr Ian Turner periodontist who skilling referred me to who was also out of network. Doesnt matter that you give them your insurance they will provide the service and give you a bill that will shock you and you learn that they are out of network much later when the bill comes in. And because I had 2 exams my cigna doesnt cover more than 2 exams per year so even with in network your not covered. This is pure greed. They get you insurance and they could care less that hou will pay thousands knowing youre not covered.
