We sat in a booth and the service was attentive throughout... somehow made our way through 3 courses too! The hand rolled meatballs and mussels were rich and indulgent starters, while the pork belly and steak were real comforters for a cold autumn night. Tip - swap the chips for truffle fries and order a rocket and Parmesan salad on the side! Somehow we managed to save room for dessert. Was a bit of a shame that two of the options weren't available, although the brownie and sorbet soon put smiles back on our faces. Especially washed down with a few digestifs! Would definitely recommend this place for a special occasion - it may be a chain but it certainly doesn't feel like one!

Just to cheer us up a bit after a hard year. mission accomplished we had a lovely meal! The place itself a hotel and resturant was easy to get to and had pleanty of parking. Outside it looked like a large traditional redbrick family pub, the inside however is unfeasably light airy and modern. It infact reminds me of my old student union (actually a good thing and of course minus the sticky floors and smell of disinfectant) with funky chairs and cool artwork on the walls. There was a varied selection on the menu although nothing that stood out as particularily inventive or special. That said the food was good, I had a prawn and crayfish salad, this was basically a prawn cocktail on a plate with toast and was very nice. Followed by a "pizza rosso" red peppers, sundried tomatoes, goats cheese and sweet chilli. The base was somwhere inbetween what I think of as thin crust and deep pan, thin but yet light and fluffy and freshly made. So pretty much had a enjoyable evening with no complaints. Would definately visit again, but more of a place for a cheap weektime treat than a destination for a special occasion.

AT LAST. BB's is the kind of Italian joint I'm used to at home in the states - comfort food served in uncomfortably close quarters. My group each ordered a different pasta dish, and we were all impressed with the size and quality of each. I've been on a bit of a pine nut binge, and the spaghetti al pesto satisfied perfectly. The food here isn't some sort of godsend lifted directly from the streets of Rome, but it's tasty, cheap, and boasts some less conventional offerings including a smoked salmon linguine dish and lobster ravioli. The only thing that suffers a bit here is the service, which was surprisingly inattentive considering the restaurant is tiny and there were three waiters working on a Wednesday night. Perfectly friendly, but we did have to interrupt a conversation about soccer between staff to order.

The waiters were extremely friendly and accommodating and the place has a romantic, Mediterranean atmosphere to it which I've never experienced in Sheffield, let alone London where I live. I strongly recommend you book in advance to avoid disappointment as they are only open during the evenings.

We had a mixture of starters , including mussels, ribs - truly amazing, the sauce was delicious, garlic flatbread, and sardines which were one of the specials that evening. Plates all cleared we started on mains which included steaks, chicken, veal, lasagna and the gluten free spaghetti with spicy arrabiata sauce, again all clean plates. We shared a dessert as everyone was full, it was supposed to be sticky toffee pudding but was actually a chocolate lava cake, glad it ended up as that as it was absolutely amazing. The owner who was our server was great fun, brought humor to the table and was very humble when praised for the excellent service and food. Will definitely be back when I'm next in the area.

This meant that our dining experience wasn't as relaxed as it could have been. The service was very friendly and attentive and the menu looked good. I ordered the mushrooms to start which were presented well but were a little tasteless my husband liked his goat cheese tarts but felt it would have been nice if they'd come with chutney. The fish and chips were a hit for main but my sea bass was rather dry and lacked flavour. The dessert we shared toffee and pecan cheesecake was the best course of the night. Overall an average experience. Think it might be best to try this place at a quieter time in the week.

Everything was "yes, we can do that." Went on a Sunday afternoon with kids and they loved it. Buffalo sauce is great (had on on the chicken burger, off menu). Calamari is great. Would appear to be a very good place for grown-ups in the evening. Simple, elegant décor. Very tasteful and hip without being gauche. One television with the football on, perfect balance to be able to watch the game without being in a rambunctious pub/sports bar. My guess is it was the proprietor who took care of us for the first half of our meal and my wife said, "mmmm, he's handsome, too." That I could have done without but, overall, 7 out of 5 and we will be back regularly.

We are talking £6 or £7 for most of the main courses with desserts still at the standard almost £4 or above price. Its a good alternative to the chain restaurants that you see everywhere without actually being too strikingly different. The atmosphere is good in the evenings as it caters well for groups. The waiters don't rush you through your dinner too much which you sometimes get at lower priced restaurants. As with everything else, the food won't blow your mind but its good enough to make you go back: I'd recommend the Duck Salad which comes with their delicious dough balls plus croutons. My sister and I have learnt to ask for the sweet chilli jam on the side as less is definitely more. Croma is good for get togethers with friends on a budget, not necessarily for big occassions. I wouldn't dress up too much to go to Croma.

I usually go for the Garlic Prawn starter which can be a little hit and miss but the for main there is only one dish I go for - The Anatra pizza - peking duck, plum and hoi-sin sauce, spring onions, cucumber, mozzarella and fresh coriander (no tomato). Has to be one of my favourite dishes ever!
