Fun new (for me) spot that I discovered through searching for a weeknight activity to break up the grind. I came here for a spelling bee night and enjoyed some rounds with other patrons spelling some (initially) Halloween themed words. I think the weather might have kept a few potential participants and other locals away so I'll definitely be excited to return on a busier night! But we all had a great time, and even though I was a first timer here, I felt welcomed in and like a regular by the end of the evening. I got a pasta from Sals across the street to enjoy with my glass of prosecco on tap. It's $1 off glasses on Wednesdays too. There's a traditional hightop bar area and some lounge seating on one side and then a larger more open room with additional tables. They also have ample outdoor seating for warmer, nicer nights. I do wish they had a food truck or something on site - it wouold be nice to not have to leave for food, but overall, it's a cool hangout and I'm sure I'll head back for more events! read more

Tucked away brewery but absolutely awesome interior. I love all the plants and outdoor patio area that they probably open up during the summer. It was nice since it was cold and rainy to have. A spot indoors though. The beer was quite good. I had a flight and the standout for me was the rye coffee stout they had. Smooth and slick on rec from the bartender. A friend recommended since there was a food truck that stopped by here: PoppyCox Nashville hot chicken. And boy was it good. You can adjust your spice level as well. Really cool place with indoor and outdoor seating. They had a food truck and a DJ. The place has a really cool vibe and allows dogs! I didn't try the food truck but tasted several beers. I love craft beers but mostly IPAs. The flavors were a little too strong for my tasting but I did enjoy one. I would come back for the atmosphere but the beer just wasn't for me. The staff was super nice and allowed me to taste many helping me find one to enjoy for the evening. Several others in my party enjoyed the light ale. Giving four stars for the environment and staff. This is a new brewery off Monroe that just opened. It's official grand opening is June 8, but they started a secret opening over Memorial Day weekend and will continue to get open until the grand opening with some soft openings. This is a very cool space! It's an old bank building that's kept all the charm! Who knew drive-thru teller lanes would make the perfect patio?! The indoor/outdoor patio is fairly large, plenty of space in the sun and plenty that covered. The inside is on the smaller side, but I love that there is bar seating! There is also glass that allows you to see the brewing in action. The brewery definitely has unique characteristics that sets it apart from others in the area. Plus who doesn't love a sucker at the bank, especially with a side of beer! I met two of the owners -- John and Kyle -- and they were very friendly! Kyle spent time talking to me and telling me all about their beers, process and background of the brewery. The other staff working there two were delightful! I can definitely see myself being a a regular here because they make you feel at home! They currently have 4 beers of their own, 2 collabs (one with Edge City and one with Lenny Boy) and then they have a few guest taps. It sounds like they will have a fairly decent rotation, no set beers to stay on the menu (as of now). They mentioned about every 2 weeks or so there would be turnover in beers. I love that concept, although I'm sure I'll be bummed when I try one I love and it's not there the next time I go back. I guess time will tell. They also brew homemade Ginger Ale and a sparkling lemon water for those looking for a nonalcoholic option. And of course they have a few wine choices for those wineOs who end up at the breweries with their loved ones. There is no food served here, but they've already been working with food trucks and local businesses. Sal's pizza is across the road and they do deliver! This is one of my favorite breweries in Charlotte. They've always got delicious beer and have some of the best sours. It was the perfect use of an old bank because it creates a cool, open concept with an industrial type feel. They even have the old deposit slots in the main dining area. I absolutely love that it's right across from Sals because beer and pizza.... need I say more? The bartenders are always extremely pleasant and attentive. They have lots of activities like trivia during the week and invite food trucks is and local vendors for events too. read more

The most special little brewery in town. We had our wedding welcome party here in April 2024 and Kiel went above and beyond to host our 120+ person group and make the evening exactly what we had imagined. Fun brews, great food trucks. Johnie hosts the best trivia on Tuesdays and music bingo on Thursdays. A rockstar team behind the bar. We are moving away from Charlotte tomorrow and Vaulted Oak will be one of the things we miss most! read more

Enjoyed my recent visit to Vaulted Oak. We opted for the flight in order to try a few different brews. They were all pretty tasty. The brewtender was nice and quick. The weather was great so we were able to enjoy the nice patio with our dog. They also had a nice corn hole set up. Great neighborhood brewery. read more

Is there anything more Charlotte than a brewery in a former bank?! This relatively new brewery has been on a the scene for a little less than a year, and is located in the Oakhurst neighborhood of East Charlotte. Frankly this is an area of the city that was underserved when it came to breweries so I am glad that local residents now have a place to grab some great craft beers. I finally got a chance to check it out when a friend of mine has his birthday party here. We had the entire outdoor area to ourselves with a walk up window bar. I tried a few different beers and found them all to be top notch. Unfortunately they do not have a kitchen here but they do partner with nearby local restaurants and host food trucks so that guests don't go hungry. Overall this is a welcome addition to Charlotte's ever growing craft beer scene. read more

The place is great except the bartender that is woman taller..she has an attitude. I was afraid to ask her for anything. The 2 questions I asked she was rude or short. 1) do you have a kitchen 2) ask for password. Both times she answered with attitude and shortness as if I was bothering her. We love Vaulted Oak!!!! Have been twice now and am so happy to have another awesome brewery here on the east side. They have good indoor seating and plenty of outdoor picnic tables and some great beers on tap (5 or 6 are theirs + lots of guest taps). The vibe is awesome, too - super dog-friendly inside and out, cool things from the original bank (like the vault and the pneumatic tubes), the bartenders are very friendly, and they have so many tables that it's always easy to find a place to sit. We also love the fact that you can order Sal's Pizza from across the street to be delivered right to your table at the brewery (and they always have good food trucks on site, too). Parking can get a bit tough during peak hours, but the bartender did mention that the place to the right has free parking after 5pm. Highly recommend this great new brewery - we'll become regulars here for sure! read more

New Charlotte brewery in an old bank that has extensive indoor and outdoor space. This brewery has a really nice space that feels freshly built and a great feel to it. They have been around for roughly 8 months now and have some really tasty beer! The Porter is my favorite that I've tried, nice and toasty but still goes down light. The sour ipa has a good tartness to it! You can order pizza from Sal's Pizza across the street and eat it in the taproom as well which creates a great place to grab a drink and some food! This place would be a lot of fun in the summer with all the garage doors open on a nice warm day. read more

I came here when they had Dogtober fest! Not only were there beautiful puppies for adoption, but also everyone brought their wonderful dogs. There were several vendors I really enjoyed speaking with and purchasing their products of which were limited processed dog treats. Of which I bought plenty for my own dog. They also had food trucks and a little doggie obstacle course. I would come back for many reasons but one of the main reasons is plenty of parking. This is hard to find now a days in Charlotte. Their space is also large and open to include outside sitting. The perfect place to relax and have a few brews they have on tap. read more

This place is awesome. It's got numerous different areas to post up at, great indoor and outdoor patio space and they always seem to have some fun activity like trivia or yoga or something going on. The bartenders are super nice and the beer selection is solid and tasty. Some breweries lean more towards nothing but IPA's but Vaulted Oak has a great mix of styles. The Eastside Blonde is delicious and super drinkable. The outdoor patio is perfect for children and dogs, lots of space to move around and stretch your legs. I know, I know - Charlotte is a beer drinking city. I, however, and not a beer drinking lady, but it's an inevitable fact of living here that I'm going to get dragged to these places from time to time. Vaulted Oak is one of those places, though, that I'm always happy to visit. Vaulted Oak has some good brews (I've had sips here and there), but their wine list offers so much more than many of the other breweries I've been to. They also have a nice lil section of non-alcoholic options. So pretty much you can bring any group of people here to get a drink, and everyone will be happy. The space is comfortable and they have a pretty nice rotation of events like trivia nights, yoga mornings, and N64 tournaments. They've also got some board games stashed away in one corner, if you'd rather do that. Or, of course, you can just drink and enjoy the company (the staff I've interacted with is very kind). I'm really glad to have found this place and can't wait until spring and summer weather for some outdoor afternoon drinking. read more

As a UNCC alum, I was very excited to check out this brewery! The brewery is a converted BB&T bank with the vault still in place as well as a few safes for decoration. I appreciated the aesthetic and customer service, yet the brewery featured few beers of their own on tap. The brewery featured many other NC beers as "visitors" on their menu. If you are joining for trivia, do not recommend. The host refuses to acknowledge when he gets answers wrong and asserts he is correct because he's been a trivia host for "10 years". That does not make you correct, Johnnie. It's called trivia, not "hosts best guest". Seeing as how the trivia host is also an owner, and disrespect his guests by refusing to admit when he is wrong, I cannot recommend this place, unless you enjoy being belittled by a trivia host. read more

Great location and even better drinks. Today was great from the weather to the beautiful drinks and food provided. Today the food truck "Durty Thumbs" was outside selling their authentic Jamaican food. As crude as it may sound I would recommend the "Durty Heffer Tacos". These were by far some of the best tacos I've had. My overall experience was great and I loved the scenery and music that Vaulted provided including the crafts and beers. read more

This place is fine but the prices for wine are insane. $13 for a glass of white wine is more than I expect at a fine dining restaurant. Beer is just drinkable, but equitably priced. Nothing to come back for. I legit would strongly discourage my group of friends of anyone wanted to go here bc I'm not about spending such craziness for a night out.
