Dr. Vaughan has changed my life. Before I started seeing her I had digestive issues that were really painful, affected my sleep and my life. My gut issues gave me anxiety. Very disappointing. I called to inquire about treatment for my 16 year old and the initial conversation was very warm and comforting. I signed up for a consultation with my daughter. The first half confirmed all the things I knew and the second half of the consultation felt more like a sales pitch. Dr. Vaughan shared her story and bio (I already knew this from reading the website) and then discussed the "packages" available. I don't think I should have paid to hear about pricing options and the doctor's profile. I was given an appointment for a week later but never confirmed it. I responded on a Friday that I had questions before commiting to the Monday appointment. I did not get a response back. I called the day of the appointment and Suzann was very different than she was on the first call. She chided me for not having called sooner. When I said that I did reach out on Friday and did not get a response, she said I should have called again. I work full-time, have a sick child and am not accustomed to that kind of response. We are very blessed to be surrounded by loving and compassionate medial professionals. I have worked with a functional medicine doctor before and had a completely different experience. The doctor was all love, compassion and went above and beyond to focus on my daughter, her needs and never spent his time talking about himself or price packages. That was done by the assistant and not on the time we were paying for. Not to mention his fee's were considerably less. I paid $300 for a half hour appointment that provided me with no information to support my daughter's wellness. Dr. Vaughan apologize for not having my daughter's information in front of her and said she had rushed from another appointment (both visits were virtual) and she mentioned three times that my daughter should not eat rice. Our son Andrew became very sick and was hospitalized last year in mid-February 2021. His bile duct had closed, he was jaundiced, his liver and pancreas were inflamed, and he lost a lot of weight. After multiple blood work tests, biopsies, and several medical procedures, he was diagnosed with "autoimmune pancreatitis." He was not absorbing any nutrients and his weight dropped from a healthy 135lbs to 112lbs! The ER Doctors were baffled because they couldn't find out what was wrong with him.
