What a beautiful dining experience! The restaurant is elegant, stylish, and has such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Everything felt very polished and professional, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We arrived without a reservation and, although the restaurant was quite busy and seating was limited, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us and make sure we were comfortable. We truly appreciated their hospitality and the effort they made to take care of us. The presentation of the food was beautiful, and everything we tried was enjoyable. The restaurant has a chic and sophisticated atmosphere that makes it a wonderful place for a special evening.

Pomegranate chicken, lamb chops, Branzino

Such a great dining experience! The Persian fusion food was absolutely delicious, with a creative twist on traditional Persian flavors. Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The portions are tapas-style, making it perfect for sharing and trying a variety of dishes. A unique and enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommend!

Avocado salad, roasted bone marrow

Beautiful space, great service and food was out of this world! Very unique cuisine not found in traditional Persian restaurants. Elegant presentation and great live music !

I celebrated my Birthday at this restaurant two nights in a row and both experiences were amazing! Ambiance, food, presentation and service was superb. Can't wait to go back.

I had such an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was beautiful and welcoming. You can really feel the love and effort put into this place. I'm so happy to see this restaurant open, and I wish you all the success in the world! Definitely a place worth visiting. Congratulations on your opening!

Mandana (one of the chef owners) lured me in with a sample of their Falafel which I shared with my daughters. Let's just say you could taste the love in it (three days worth!) and I finally had truly delicious Falafel. We all ended up having some along with two Mazzeh samplers. Everything was so hot, fresh, and delicious. Don't even get any of us started on the absolutely delicious hummus. I'm pretty sure we would have taken a vat of it home if we could. Mandana also gave us samples of the pomegranate soft serve and baklava ice cream. Both were delicious and light and the baklava ice cream wasn't cloyingly sweet. We ended up having the pomegranate soft serve to top off the meal since it was a relatively warm day...and we couldn't resist. It was the perfect ending-- a little sweet, a little tart, and all delicious. Mandana also gave me a cookbook recommendation so I could try making some Persian dishes at home and I bought it right away. She was so warm, welcoming, and happy to share with us. We left the food court in near food coma states. The food court itself is light and bright overall, but what you'd expect from a food court. We felt for those who bought other fast-food types of offerings at the food court versus the delightfully fresh and delicious food Zood has. It was worth the price (and you get so much!) We look forward to eating there again the next time we're there and hopefully seeing Mandana again.

The koobideh meat came out hot, was well seasoned and also very tasty! The plate came with two kabobs and a side of basmati rice! The portion was so large I could only eat one of the kabobs. Had the second one the next day for lunch!! Score!!! The only thing I wish was that they had something spicy to add to the dish, but no luck on that! Sorry no pics!!

The interior was light, herb-forward, and properly textured. * Tzatziki: Thick, balanced, and clearly prepared in-house using whole Greek yogurt, fresh grated cucumber, and garlic without artificial additives or excess sodium. * Spicy Chicken Kebab: Tender, expertly grilled poultry with distinct char that retained moisture throughout. Their rice was not cooked properly and tasted kinda over cooked and wet. You're supposed to par broil rice and then steam it till it's nice and al dente and each morsel stands on its own and has its own bite. Then the aromatics like the saffrons comes through.

I have to preface my review by saying that my father is a Moroccan Amazigh (aka Morocco's version…read moreof Native Americans in the US). Naturally Moroccan food is something I grew up with, a comfort food, and something I am a bit critical of. I've dined at many Moroccan restaurants domestically and abroad. I've left pretty much all of those restaurants feeling that the food was average. Today Casablanca became the exception. My sister booked a reservation for Mother's Day and I was looking forward to a Moroccan meal at a restaurant I hadn't heard about. My expectations weren't high due to my prior experiences and Casablanca quickly surpassed that bar and every meal exceed my highest of expectations. We ordered bastilla with chicken and almonds, a honey lamb tangine, lemon chicken tangine (one of my favorite meals), couscous with a mix of skewers, lamb sausage couscous, sea bass, Baklava, crème brulee, stuffed dates, and ice cream. It's often the attention to detail in the simplest components that typically make something special. From the texture of the couscous to the lemon chicken sauce and how the green olives absorbed the flavor was perfect. Bastilla is a very tough dish for me to like due to me preferring savory over sweet. Finding the balance of the flavors is difficult and often what is missed. Today was the first time I went back for more bastilla outside of when my aunts cooked it. The lemon chicken was incredibly flavorful and the chicken was cooked perfectly. the Royal Couscous had various skews that were all delicious and tasted how you'd expect it to when the Moroccan aunties are getting down in the kitchen. I'm not a big lamb guy, but the lamb here wasn't gamey and fell off of the bone. The rest of the meals and desserts were equally delicious. The owner is an Algerian Amazigh and the staff was Moroccan and French. It is obvious they have a passion for what they do and truly care about their clients. My father speaks Tamazight, Arabic, and French. So he was able to speak to all the staff in their native language. The love and care they showed was wonderful and I'm sure they show this same warmth to all of their clients. I love out of a suitcase for work and get to try food in countless places. LA can spoil you, but it's often the holes in the wall that surprise you and not the trendy or more formal restaurants. Casablanca was an exception to the rule. It just became one of my favorite restaurants in SoCal. Thank you to the owner, friendly staff, and chef for making it even more special for my mom on Mother's Day. P.s. my mother is a Chamorro that has cooked Moroccan food for the last 40 years and is overly critical and as mentioned before my father is Moroccan. Both her and my father left the evening singing their praises and had some left overs when we got home. Sorry this was so long, thanks for coming to my ted talk. TLDR I'm Moroccan went with my Moroccan dad and we both think it's the best Moroccan restaurant we've had in years.

I have no clue what you are talking about with your "blackmail" comment, but that's a pretty big accusation that has nothing to do with me, so I would be very careful with that. I didn't agree with the service charge or entertainment charge or whatever you want to call it, but paid it and am not disputing anything. 2. Exactly which part of my review is inaccurate? The amount of time we had to wait? I can prove it took that long. The fact that you didn't bring out food for two of the people in our party even after waiting THAT ridiculous amount of time for our food? Um... can prove that too. That you felt this weird need after I already told you that I got your explanation to keep coming at me with your excuses? I have witnesses for that. Nothing "inaccurate" about my review. 3. I gave you that the food was delicious. It was. It was better before and I don't know what happened from that time to now, but regardless it was still delicious. HOWEVER... it was sour and mushy by the next day. My husband ate some and ended up sick from it. I wasn't going to mention that, but I guess I can now. 4. As a business owner, don't be so arrogant to think you are perfect and learn from the feedback your customers give you. As I stated, we loved the experience the first time. LOVED it... enough where we gave glowing and rave reviews of your place to friends and family and anyone that would listen. Enough that we drove all the way from San Diego up to the restaurant for dinner because it was THAT good. Take that feedback and try to figure out what went wrong and make changes to keep your restaurant successful.

It honestly felt like the plate was mostly rice rather than a chicken shawarma plate. As well the pita bread does not seem freshly made but packaged taken out of a bag from a market. The hummus and tzatziki were also very watery and lacked the texture I expected. I tried the cucumber refresher as well, which was okay, but it had a noticeable tap-water taste that made it less enjoyable. What bothered me most was the service. When our server asked if everything was okay, I politely mentioned that there was very little chicken on my plate. Instead of acknowledging my concern, offering an explanation, or trying to make it right, he simply walked away. Why ask how everything is if you're going to ignore the answer? Unfortunately, I left feeling like I basically paid for a plate of rice. I was full, but mostly because of the mountain of rice, not because I received a satisfying chicken shawarma meal. Between the portions, watery sauces, and dismissive service, this was a disappointing experience.

Yesterday, my stepdad picked up an order for a birthday lunch. We ordered 3 different dishes, including chicken, ground beef and falafel. Unfortunately, all 3 meals were equally disappointing. We called the manager and were told we could bring the food back and to send pictures over to their customer service. I appreciate that they offered to make it right, but when all 3 people eating the meal have the same complaint, it doesn't seem like it was just a one time issue. On top of that, it was too far out of the way to drive back and get another meal. This isn't the first time I've noticed the quality going downhill.
