I hired them because I wanted a licenced contractor to finish an ADU  where another contractor left off. I got charged a lot of money but the quality of work was completely lacking. Cabinets were not straight, the counter top was not installed correctly, appliances were not installed correctly and on and on we kept finding mistakes and short cuts  made by the workers they hired. We were given numerous excuses why this and that couldn't be done. Well come to find out all of what they denied could have and should have been done.  You'd be better off hiring the guys in front of Home Depot than using these guys. Anyway, so Gal Sharvit is the one that comes out to give the estimates and oversee the work(which he barely did).  What he did do was ask for payment before the work was complete. I thought he was the one with the licence. It turns out his father Simon is the one with the license and he never once came over to supervise the work nor did I ever speak with him. This seems illegal at worst and shady at best. Most of the time a guy named Ben was there with one of the day- laborers. He often would point out all the mistakes from the other contractor and say how his guys would have done a better job. Unfortunately for us, their work was so poor that we had to hire other guys to fix all the mistakes they made.  You can see these guys have written numerous 5 star  fake reviews for themselves. They are located under "reviews that are not recommended" and most are written within a day of each other.

Their price is double compared to other stores like Discount Flooring around. The flooring they delivered was not the same as the sample. Wood surface is much thinner. It didn't match with the flooring I had. I came back and tried to return. They said I was 45 days and they refused to take their product back. Nobody told me about 30 day returning policy when I bought it. Instead they told me it was returnable. On my invoice, it did not say also. I even offered to pay restocking fees but they did not accept it. The store was completely empty every time I visited. No customer. I saw one or two angry customers there not to purchase but to return as well. Now you understand why. Don't buy from them. Bad price, bad product, bad services, angry customers and empty store, and nobody is there basically.

The other store's quote made me pause and get a second opinion. Your Flooring Guys pricing for the same products (laminate, floor boards, etc) was so much better! They only sell the product but they will refer installers. We worked with Juan. He and his crew demoed our existing floor (wood and tile), installed all the flooring and baseboard in 3 days! It was 1300 square feet of work. We were so impressed with his work we asked if he had a painting crew and he did. His price beat another bid by $10k. We highly recommend Your Flooring Guys and their installation referrals. They are the real deal!

After researching endlessly and meeting with multiple contractors, receiving many bids (some…read morerequired high deposits to even see a design!) and timelines that seemed to make things more confusing and stressful, the renovation gods sent Rob and Harry our way! TLDR: honest guys who did the job with integrity and finished on time and on budget. If you are contemplating a renovation project, you need to go to Balboa Flooring & Kitchen. From the initial meeting with Harry when he came to the house for our consultation, we hit it off right away. Harry took measurements and asked important questions like, how do we use the space, and what were we looking for with the remodel. We met a few days later and spoke about different design ideas, what our style was, and the most important part...discussed a realistic budget! Over the next few days, we connected over Pinterest and shared pages, and within a few days, a basic design was sent to us at no charge, unlike many other places. After finding the design that fit our style, a comprehensive bid was submitted (no surprises here). And like most people, our initial wish list was above our budget. But Harry and Rob sat with us and rather than discouraging our wants/needs, they simply said many times, "let's try to get you what you want" and worked with us to make different choices and limit the scope to our budget without sacrificing quality or the layout that we so badly wanted. During the renovation, we opted to live in the house (I do NOT recommend this!), because it allowed us to stretch the budget. Rob helped with the timeline since it was so close to the holidays and ultimately we decided to break up the project in two parts; phase 1 started towards end of October and even through the holiday season, their guys were able to finish by the first week of December, one week ahead of schedule! Phase 2 began the first week of January to ensure there would be no delays, and within 6 weeks the renovation was complete, on schedule. One of the many things we appreciated the most about working with these guys was their integrity. Yes, there were some unforeseen problems with the original design due to structural issues, but rather than telling us to go forward with it or take advantage of us (because it could have been accomplished but it would cost more), Harry provided us with an alternate suggestion that allowed us to stay on budget, and made us feel even better telling us it will still look great, and that he wouldn't recommend spending the extra money (for the original design). I mean, what business ever says that?! Though there were things we thought we wanted, they offered their ideas and expertise, helping us to stay within budget, and providing solutions that were even better than the original design. We trusted Harry and Rob and we couldn't be happier with the results!
